Burrito - I'm partial to the carne asada here, and I normally ask for their garlic sauce in it instead of the salsa. Very, very good. Added chips are a bonus. Quesadilla - Reasonably price especially if you consider that they give you both sour cream AND guacamole on the side. Not many places do this. LA Fries - I think the photo on their website is wrong because I received a heaping portion of fries! Love the sauce on this one. Beef Sultani - Very tender beef, we're talking fork tender. I personally think that their tacos are a tad bit stronger than their kabobs, but both are worth a try.

However, since we came at night time where most of them were closed, we got parking right in front. This spot is more of a take-away place, with 6 counter seatings indoors, and maybe 3 chairs right out front. This tiny burger spot seems to be run by just one person, so it helps that you can self-order at their kiosk. He was very attentive juggling between cooking the made-to order items, and check in on the costumers in case they had questions. After placing my order at their one device, it was roughly a 15 minutes wait. Here's what we ordered: CHEESEBURGER - $9.90 High-quality beef patty smashed with grilled onions, serviced on a toasted Martin's potato bun and topped with pickles and their fry sauce. I really enjoyed this rich tasting burger. I think that fry sauce was a huge factor...but also that soft bun...and that flavorful beef patty. I really enjoyed this. The spice level increased (still not too spicy), but a side of sauce (which you pay more than a $1 for) is now sent in a premade branded packet. I have zero issues paying extra for a good sauce made fresh in-house, but instead of tasting like a fresh sauce made with mayo and spices, it now tastes of oil and spices and is not nearly as tasty. We noticed the difference on the burgers as well, so it seems like their sauce is all premade now and not nearly as good.

The tacos are reasonable priced for LA... I'm from San Diego and tacos are pretty cheap there as well as on Mexico. I recommend trying it for yourself.

Personally, I was not a fan, and I consider this a step below McDonald's, which has a stronger vanilla flavor and creamier texture. The toppings and whipped cream were similarly generic and unremarkable. Overall, I was not impressed by Fosters. We ended up getting medium, hot, and x-hot. I can handle up to medium on most spicy levels. Medium level isn't something to sweat about. But the hot level is definitely a jump and I struggled. The X-hot was a huge jump from hot and I really struggled. The fried chicken is always delicious. I can see the powder covering the friend chicken but there is not lingering powder aftertaste inside your mouth. This is what makes the difference from other spicy chicken sandwich places. All other places leave dry powdery taste inside your mouth which is a no go for me. The batter doesn't fall off easily. Definitely not oily either!!! The chicken itself tastes way better than Dave's Hot Chicken. I gotta give a shoutout to Elena! And I hope I am spelling her name correctly. She is awesome and funny. The other staff has great energy as well. Explained how the spice levels are and how it can feel like when tasting it. Like I said. The wait is worth it!!!

I opened my sandwich and found the thinnest, smushed McDouble I have ever eaten. the patties themselves were so thin, my thumbnail was wider than the two patties. And the top of the bun seemed like it had been pressed down so much it was barely thicker than the two patties. The burger itself was lukewarm and barely edible. Before you jump up and say "It's McDonalds. What did you expect"?, please know that I have eaten McDoubles plenty of times in the past. Not only was this was a poorly executed example, it is obvious that McDonalds is shrinking its patties and raising its prices. Same thing happened to their Fish Sandwich. First they started giving you a half slice of cheese and then they switch to a smaller rectangle of fish rather than the square one you used to get. Sadly, this will probably be my last McDonalds meal. I can get much better food for the same price at other local places.
