Had the ginger dressing which was good, but would have preferred bit more of a punch. Shout out for the pickled onions - they really brightened up the dish. Everything tasty and fresh, and the option of zucchini noodles great for anyone on low carb diet. The Acai fruit bowls are much more popular than the poke bowls, since just about everyone else who came in while we were there ordered one of these. Eating is at community table. This is only my 3rd time going to Beech but I've never been disappointed! The first time I got a smoothie bowl/acai bowl and it was great! I was torn between a green smoothie base or the acai base so one of the owners told me I could do 1/2 & 1/2. So glad he mentioned it bc it was just what I was looking for. They really load you up on the toppings for the bowls, which I love...sheesh so many restaurants seem to skimp you on things like that that really make a difference for taste, quality, presentation, satiation, etc. I personally don't like nut butters very much (just too overpowering for my smoothies I feel) and I forgot to mention to leave it off. So I personally would get it without the almond butter next time but if you love nut butters it's great. Now onto the real star of the show- THIS TUNA POKE BOWL THOUGH!! This is a picture of it nearly demolished since I jumped in before I remembered to take a pic...oops. It was beautiful! I got mine with tuna, zucchini noodles and citrus kale salad base, added pickled cucumbers, pickled onions, carrots, the crispy onions (a must even if you dont totally love onions!!), pineapple, and i saw they had kimchi in one of the special bowls for the week so I asked to add that too. Had the wasabi aioli and also the ginger dressing and absolutely loved both! I'm not the biggest wasabi fan but this was perfect to add a depth of flavor to the bowl and I love that it's creamy. Literally every bite I was so impressed with. Super fresh, filling, big enough to split with someone if you're not starving or a smaller person. Whenever I go to Charleston, I always try to swing by this place for an açaí bowl. I love my ice cream, but I literally would rather have their açaí bowl then I would a hot fudge sundae. The 2 star rating is mainly based on their delivery service and packaging, not the food. I was so excited to try the poké bowl at beech. My roommate got one just the other night and I went with her and it looked amazing so I had to try it for myself a few days later. I was feeling lazy and saw on their site that they are now doing delivery, which was perfect. It's through QuickFoxes, a popular third party delivery service around here. The part I was most excited for was the sauces - you can see in other yelp review pictures that they drizzle a generous portion over the top. I selected two sauces, the sriracha aoli and lemon miso, which my roommate did the other day. I also asked for the edamame and zucchini noodles on the side. Neither of these happened. In fact, my poké bowl came without sauce. The poké was fresh and good, but I was so disappointed by the sauce and the dish was lacking that element so I didn't really enjoy it. The edamame and zucchini noodles were not on the side, they were in the bowl with the rest of the ingredients. Good food but disappointed. Next time I try it will be in person I guess read more

Not bad, Beech! Pleased with my decision to order a Poke bowl for lunch today. I stopped in and ordered a Salmon Poke Bowl with brown rice, pickled cucumber, carrots and avocado ($1 upcharge) - topped with a Sriracha aoili. Beech was busy for lunch time, so i waited patiently -- next time I'll order ahead as several other customers did. The Poke Bowl was pretty good - VERY generous portions of everything - especially the rice, salmon and avocado. I wasn't able to finish the whole thing -- snack for later! I may not put avocado on next time because there was so much (not something I think I've EVER said haha!). My bowl also mistakenly came with Wakame (regular seaweed, not dried). Not a huge deal but it certainly imparted some seaweed funkiness on the overall bowl flavor. I also felt that the salmon had been tossed in too much Shoyu - it was slightly overpowering the freshness of the fish. Let it do its thing! I will try Beech again - perhaps their Acai bowls or smoothies - which looked beautiful. And if I'm craving a Poke Bowl, I may order here again. But I'm inclined to go back to other options in town - specifically one that comes from my favorite Food Truck. read more

I saw this place when I was wandering downtown and decided I must try their acai bowl. In Hawaii I had my fair share of acai bowls and loved them all. I ordered the Beech bowl and a tofu poke bowl to try. The acai bowl was really good with the fruit and granola. I just wish there was more acai because there wasn't enough for all the toppings. Plus the price was a little steep for the quantity. The poke bowl was interesting because it was mostly rice and very little tofu. I wonder if the poke bowl comes with very little fish as well. I got the pickled onion and pickled cucumber. I didn't like the onions because it was made with rice wine vinegar and tasted rotten. The cucumber was ok but it was like a spicy rice wine vinegar pickled cucumber and not like Korean cucumber kim Chee it would have tasted better as. I wish there were more vegetarian toppings like corn or edamame as a free option. I am not big into fruits like mango on my poke bowl. Having Beech open within walking distance from where I work has been very dangerous for my coworker's and I - in the best way.
