I work downtown and walked here for lunch. I was looking for something light and fresh, so this hit the spot. It was tough to choose between a poke bowl and an açaí bowl. I was there around lunch on a Monday and there was plenty of seating. Only took about 5 minutes for our food to be ready. I think it'd also be good to-go.

TOO good. genuinely this poke bowl was so good and hit the spot. i did the build your own and got tuna, white rice, fresh cucumber, pickled red onion, spicy mayo, lemon miso aioli, sesame seeds, and scallions. it was only $15. the place its so cute and the service was great. definitely coming back here soon

The açai was good but I would steer away from the mangos. They have poke bowls here and the mango tasted a little fishy. They might store it in the same cooler as the raw fish. Other than that the experience was decent.

Zero nonsense, quick turnaround, and clean space. Unsure who the young man (GM?) is but he's running a well-oiled downtown machine. Downtown QSRs can be hit or miss and we REALLY appreciate a consistent, quick, and clean lunch option. We always order the same two items, the Green One smoothie and the PBJ bowl. Both are tasty and compliment each other well.

Awesome food and great service! The guy that made food was very good at his job you can tell they put a lot of passion in what they do. Highly recommend!

This poke is totally different the poke i eat frequently in California. The first thing that got my attention was lack of ginger and wasabi for starters. They were out of Salmon and the only fish they had tuna. So, they had chicken in different style to add! So there wasn't so many topic and most of them had extra charge! The bowl wasn't fully stuffed so in my opinion it was expensive for what we got. We loved zucchini noodles which it was curly raw zucchini. Ambiance was cool! This is beech style poke and I've saw a poke place before that they don't have many fish options. Only salmon and poke and being out of salmon wasn't acceptable!

Quick, yummy, and efficient. Everything came out fresh and beautifully put together. The service was friendly, and the whole space has a relaxed, cozy vibe that makes you want to hang out for a bit. Loved the ambiance and how easy the whole experience felt. Definitely a spot I'd come back to!

Great tuna poke bowl. Next time I would ask for more sauce because the white rice at the bottom didn't get any of the sauce I ordered but other than that, great veggies and offerings

Cute little cafe with a homey feel to it. Well that's how I felt when I walked in to see what their menu offered. The lady at the counter was very nice and example everything from substitutions and what she recommended. I ended getting the dreamy green juice which was delicious and very filling. Next time I visit Charleston I will stop in and try a açaí bowl.

I wandered into Beech after a morning of shopping on King Street, and it wasn't very busy. The interior was brightly lit, with a colorful fruit mural on the brick wall. The space was on the smaller side, but they had both high-top and couch seating. I ordered the Coco Cashew Bowl and a Matcha, which didn't take too long to be ready. The Coco Cashew Bowl wasn't super memorable, but the ingredients were fresh and tasty. The Matcha was good too, and service was friendly. Overall, a good experience!

First time in town....saw on Google and had many great reviews. They were all true! Had the coco açaí bowl which was really tasty. Saw some other orders and they looked good as well. Friendly atmosphere and the service was helpful. Glad I stopped by after my run...would try the poke bowl if I was in town longer.

Visiting Charleston, my wife and I looked for a place downtown to eat dinner. Because we arrived on a Monday, many eateries were closed. However, we found Beech open and meeting our need for vegetarian options. Fortunately we found street parking just a short distance down from the shop on King Street. My wife ordered the hummus black bean wrap and enjoyed the flavors and locally made wrap. I chose the "build your own" Poke bowl. For the protein, I chose the raw salmon, brown rice as my base, and all the free toppings and garnish. The ginger and spicy mayo sauces and Macadamia nuts were on the side. Not only did my bowl look lovely, but was very satisfyingly tasty. The shop also offers cold brew on tap that I ordered with vanilla and almond milk for no extra charge. I enjoyed the smooth taste of the coffee. The employees' service was good, accurate, and helpful. You can order from either the screen Ny the wall menu or at the register area. The store contains some cushioned furniture up front and two high tables along the opposite side of the food area. The place was clean. Origins: Two brothers dreamt "of serving their community through healthy yet fast foods...(They) are focused on delivering a fast, healthy menu based on the pillars of a balanced diet: fruit, fish, rice, and vegetables."

    Menu with supposedly old pricing.

Went here and ordered three Build Your Own bowls. The menu on the wall, which I photographed and posted here, clearly shows some toppings are $0.50, some are $1.00 and the rest are complimentary. I paid for my party, but as we ate, the total didn't make sense. While looking at the menu directly in front of me I kept adding the bowls in my head and the math wasn't adding up. At first I thought perhaps others in my group had gone heavy on toppings. I wasn't given a receipt initially so I went back to ask for one. The receipt, which I also posted, shows I was charged for toppings that were listed as complimentary and I was charged double for the $0.50 and $1.00 toppings. According to my receipt there are no complimentary toppings at all and I was made to pay for every single one. I brought this up to the cashier, who called over a guy cleaning, who then called a guy in the kitchen. That person claimed "new prices" had gone into effect that very day. If that were true the menu on the wall should have been updated or at the very least the cashier should have told us upfront. The "new pricing" was so new no one else working there even knew about it. Why? Because there are no "new prices" they intentionally stole. What makes it worse is that I even tipped these guys in cash. I had no problem paying the total but I do have a problem with being deliberately cheated. As for the food itself we were all in disappointment. They don't know how to cook rice. The rice was undercooked with hard, crunchy granules that ruined the bowls. Everyone in my party regretted choosing rice because it was impossible to eat the uncooked rice so we tossed our bowls and left to eat elsewhere.

What kind of wraps do they use?

We use Mitla wraps which are organic and use no preservatives. They're a local company based in Charleston run by a husband/wife couple. Hope you enjoy!
