We called Bee Towing in Irvine for a tow and were quoted $140, which we negotiated down to a flat $100 total. Before confirming, I specifically asked multiple times: - Are there any service fees? - Any handling fees? - Anything added on top? The answer was clear: "No. $100 total. That's what you'll pay." Based on that, we booked the tow. After the car was already hooked up, transported, and dropped off, we were suddenly told the total was $150. That is a direct contradiction of what was agreed upon. We immediately called to resolve it, and this is where it escalated. The dispatcher who picked up turned out to be an individual from Brady Bros Towing (a separate towing company that has sus dealings), claiming they have multiple dispatchers working across calls. That alone is extremely concerning and makes it unclear who you are actually dealing with when you call these companies. During this call: - He was hostile and dismissive - Refused to provide his name when asked - Completely ignored the confirmed $100 quote - Claimed extra fees were always part of it (despite explicitly telling us otherwise earlier) - Threatened to impound the vehicle if we didn't pay the jacked up price immediately Meanwhile, the driver was on the phone with someone identified as the "boss lady," who we later learned is related to that rude dispatcher (his cousin). After going back and forth, the price was suddenly lowered to $120, which only proves that the pricing is completely arbitrary and not based on any consistent policy. If the real price was $150, why drop it? If it was $100, why increase it? There is no transparency, just whatever they think they can get away with in the moment. Other major red flags: - Only accepting cash or Zelle - Multiple dispatchers giving completely different pricing - No written confirmation of quotes - Price changes after the job is already completed - Threats used when questioned We paid $120 just to end the situation, but the entire experience felt deceptive from start to finish. BEWARE!!!!!!!!! If I could give 0 stars, I absolutely would. I called at 3pm asking for a tow. He is .7 miles away and gave me $190 quote to drive down the street. He said 40 min ETA.. comes 4:00 pm, I called and the lady said another 20 minutes, Comes 4:30 I called 20 times!!!! As you can see in the photo provided. Each call was ignored or disregarded. She picked up and hung up on me twice. I kept asking where her driver is and for the next HOUR, she said 5 minutes & proceeded to hangup on me. When the driver finally called me at 5:15 PM, he said ANOTHER 40 minutes!!!! Does this guy even have a brain? Or is he just an undiagnosed ret@rd? ... the tire shop down the road closes at 6, wtf is the point now?? I told him F his business and $hitty customer service & he responded with "F*** you bi***" with his thot sitting next to him trying to be sassy with me too. You are all tra$h!!! My daughter got out of day care at 5:30, and I had to pick her up.. but because of their irresponsibility, my mother in law had to take 2 busses to get my daughter from daycare. DISGUSTING! I ended up having my ex have to drive all the way from DOWNEY (where I live) and call his triple A to get me the help I needed. Triple A took 30 minutes & I got home at 8 pm!!!! Insanity!!!!!!!!! Dishonest company, I would avoid at all cost. I called at 3pm 2/22/23 for a tow. Was told it was $175 and will be a 40 minute ETA. Called them back 4:30pm, the girl in the office said she would find out the new ETA and have someone call me, because she was leaving for the day. Call again at 5:30pm now the charge is magically $250, and they are still 30-60 minutes out. I understand sometimes people get busy but called 4 time every hour and they kept saying they already had someone on their way. So, We called at 10:09am this morning, a super nice girl answer the phone, we had gotten a flat tire and a she said they could actually dispatch someone right now. I asked the prices, $49 for hook up and "$55-$85" for 5 miles, cool. At 11:06 my boyfriend called and asked about the eta, it had been a while and the girl, not asking what car, who, or anything said hold on let me ask. Puts us on hold for a little and says "20 minutes" and before we could say anything hangs up the phone on us, she was pretty rude. At 11:38 I call again, it has been past 20 minutes, and she asks what car I am calling about, I tell and she seems mildly more concerned and tells me to hold on she's calling the driver. She gets back to me and says his "GPS says 8 minutes and his last pick up changed places 3 times"... He finally arrives, clumsily puts my car on the truck, he goes the wrong way, turns back around and we get to Costco, 1.7 miles from where we were. They end up not being able to take us so we go to Big O which is 2.2 miles away from Costco. FINALLY, he says that's going to be $195, which is outrageous. I call the office and ask why it's that much and the girl says that it should only be the $49 plus $55-85 for no special hook ups, she said that she talked to his boss and he would let him know this. I tell the driver that so he calls his boss and hands me the phone and this man says it's $49 plus the $55-85, and he took us 7 miles and that it costs money to change our destination, and it was $10 per mile after 5. He didn't even unhook the car! This was awful, we waited forever with no apology, she said they were dispatching someone right then and we waited an hour and a half then they shoot the prices up. Even If we paid the $49 + $85 the 2 extra miles they tacked on would total to $154 so i guess it's $41 to move 2 miles to a new place when we only went 3.9 miles :) The trucks say B &A towing, I made sure to get a receipt. DO NOT CALL THIS TOW COMPANY. I was quoted a $55 fee by the dispatcher to come out to John Wayne Airport and jump start my car which had died while I was away on a 10-day trip. In addition, one of my tires had gone flat, so I also informed the dispatcher that I needed the tire filled. (I didn't feel like changing over to the doughnut spare at the time) Sure enough the tow truck driver shows up, the tire is filled, the car has started and is idling to charge the battery. The driver says that the total charge is $165! $55 for the call, $55 for the jump, and $55 for the air for the tire! I confronted the driver about the ridiculous amount of the charges, and that I was told nothing of the additional fees for actually doing something. I would have driven off at that point but his truck had me boxed in. He told me to call the dispatcher, which I did, and after checking with someone in the office, Haley confirmed that the charges were indeed correct. After expressing my disbelief, she informed me that I should have asked what the additional charges were prior to authorizing the service. I replied that I had informed her coworker of what I needed done and that I was quoted $55, which I would have no problem paying. She said that the total after service was $165 and that I needed to pay it for me to be able to move my car. Already very late for work, I paid them their ransom. I'll be having a conversation with my credit card company about a charge back. Thanks Bee towing for providing the impetus for my first Yelp review. P.S. After many calls and 2.5 hours later, the tow truck finally showed up. The two guys were not very professional, asked to buy my car and then scratched my paint with their jack. After they got it jack up they told me it would be $200.... I told them I wasn't going to pay that much and he tried to make under the table deals with me. My office is also in Tustin so I called a local company. They got out within a few hours which was nice (and why they got 2 stars instead of 1). It took about 3 minutes to jump start a car for me and then I was told the cost was $125. One hundred and twenty-five dollars!! I called the office and said "That's a bit extreme don't you think?", to which the man's response was "You should have asked what the price was when you called!". I did not talk with him when I first called in. How did he know if I did or didn't ask the price? I'm guessing he's used that line a few times before. Lesson learned. Expensive as hell with sub-par services, find another towing service. I called them after getting stranded with a flat tire and needed them to tow my car to a nearby tire shop. The young (sounding) guy who answered the phone was a douche and had this passive-aggressive attitude (blatantly arrogant tone while almost sarcastically saying "sir"). He wouldn't tell me how much it would cost either and judging from the reviews here, he probably figured I would take my business elsewhere once I found out about his outrageous asking price. He wouldn't tell me how much it would cost saying it varies so he can't say but still wanted my debit/credit card number. I told him I can't give him any payment information without at least an estimate first. He then told me it would cost $140 to tow my car 5 miles. I told him that's way more than I expected and he started giving me excuses about how it's rush hour so it costs more and how they'd need extra "special equipment" to tow my car and how it would be the same price at any other towing company. Then he asked me in an accusatory tone how much I expected it to be. Frustrated, I told him I'll try somewhere else first. The very next towing company I called (also found thru Yelp) towed my car for $63... less than half of Bee Towing's price for the exact same job. It would cost the same at any other towing company, huh? You would think at least the service would have been friendly with such highway robbery prices. read more

Some other guy called @ 9:14 and said Tow driver was in next City over about an hour wait. then at 10:45 tow driver called and said he was 90 to 120minutes away. He arrived at approximately 12:00 and they finished at 13:13 and charged me $395 ($1975) for 5 hours. This whole process didn't take 5 hours. read more

Joel came within about 7 minutes and picked me up and towed me to a local tire shop. This was about 7pm on July 3rd. He did a great job, was a nice guy and I would recommend this place 100%. Customer service was beyond unhelpful. I was charged $355 for (14 mi) for which the standard is around $130. Fine, that's on me. But this is what I can't forgive: I called nearly everyday for 11 days to ask for an invoice/receipt which I was promised I would recieve at the end of the towing service. Never got it. After, I called multiple times for 11 days until I finally annoyed them to the point they sent me an invoice. BUT my name and car model was misspelled, so I called them back AGAIN. and AGAIN. and AGAIN. Only two people Jesus and Teylor attempted to help me but by then I had already lost my faith in this company. And SANDRA, if you ever get her as a customer service rep, just know you are dealing with a very unhappy person because she will not lift a finger to help you in the least...I honestly don't see a long future for this business at this rate. read more

This company promised to tow but didn't do anything they don't even deserve a 1 star. Their customer service is by far the worst I've ever receive experienced. I emailed the BBB & they have yet to hear back from them. It's been weeks! I hired these guy to pick up a van that got stranded on the freeway. Upon arrival they called me & said they were not going to pick it up being that they didn't have the correct towing truck. The manager was yelling & using foul language at me. That is extremely unnecessary being that at no point was I disrespectful. I told them just to return my money back since they had already taken it out. He said no they were going to take the van but never use them again. They left my guy out & never picked it up. I had to get another company to tow it. This goes back to July. I just called again & spoke with Elsa she was also very rude. When I asked to speak with a manager she said no supervisor was available. Note: that was 10 minutes after being on hold! I disputed the charge with my bank but now the towing company is taking it back. This is FRAUD! Because they did no service at all for me.
