Took my dad to get a hair cut for first time in over a year because of COVID. Went on Tuesday in the afternoon and the wait wasn't bad. Only one person allowed into the shop at a time. The rest of the time you wait outside. Must wear a mask inside. $21 for a hair cut. Nothing to not like about this place. My father is happy I am no longer cutting his hair. Happy to support a small business after this year. Plus, Naji has been fully vaccinated. It is a safe environment to get your hair cut. read more

Initially, I took a chance on a barber shop that I passed by nearly every day to and from work. On my first visit, I had to wait for about 20 minutes, as the shop has 1 barber and takes no reservations. The first thing I noticed was that masks were required, and that he only allowed 1 customer to wait inside- I liked his his adherence to covid protocols. When he was done with my haircut, I was very pleased with his handiwork. I have been back several times to have the owner/operator, Naji cut my hair. When he wasn't too busy to take me (yes, I call ahead,) I never had to wait more than 15 minutes to get into his chair. Naji is very personable, professional and experienced. Literally the best barbershop in town. Naji is at a whole-nother level! He gives a perfect haircut every time and it's only $21. You'll pay more than double at one of the trash places like Floyds or Birds and only get half the haircut. He's also an all around great guy, and the only barber I've found who I can have an intelligent conversation with. No reservations but it's never a long wait and there's always good discussions. Trying to communicate what you'd worked out and fine-tuned with your old barber, and translating that to the ways and styles of your new one. The communication and his questions to understand my goal were great and he executed it beautifully. My first haircut here turned out even better than my last place bad been. As a guy, it's so hard to find a good barber that has a combination of being consistently good, affordable, and like-able. For $18 or so, I enjoy my haircut every time. I usually tip $5 cash since it's worth at least $30 or $40 at a more spazzy place. Barber is Jordanian and has cut hair for over 20 years. If you walk in at the last minute, he'll put you in line and cut your hair. I found my barber in Austin took 5 years. 5+ stars. read more

I came to know about Naji from his Yelp reviews, although I still walked in his establishment with a bit of skepticism, based on my less-than-ideal past experiences with new barbers. Naji is a one-man show. His shop is simple and his work is quick. He asks a few questions about how you want your hair to look, then he goes to town with a bit of friendly banter and a genuine interest in his client. I cannot recall the last time that a barber got my haircut right on the very first go, but Naji pulled it off effortlessly. Great place for a nice haircut at an affordable price in a nice area. I have done friends who venture into bad neighborhoods for a cheap basic haircuts, but this is a much better option! I really like the owner here, who is airways pleasant to chat with. He's more of the old school scissors type (not primarily clippers), and does a great job. Only drawback is that this place is pretty popular and there is usually a wait unless you come first thing in the morning (the owner is the only barber). Would highly recommend it! read more

Great discovery the other day. This is an traditional, old fashioned barbershop. Nothing fancy but it's exactly how a barbershop is supposed to look like. Right away I was greeted by the friendly barber, Naji. He is very personable, laid back, and easy to talk to. He makes it a point to get on first name basis and build a personal relationship with each of his customers. The haircut was fast and well done. My hair is not the easiest to cut, due to the odd way it grows. Naji had no problem doing it right with only few words from me. It was done way before I had expected time wise with only minor adjustments needed. Overall great experience, I'll be going back here again. I will note that this place can be hard to find. The shop blends in with the rest of the building, but I assure you it's there as addressed so keep looking! read more

I've been to this barber shop a few times now and Naji has been wonderful with my kids (both the one getting the cut and the one waiting). He puts on whatever show they want and is very understanding about wiggling, etc. He also has candy available to offer as a treat after the haircut, if needed.
