It was nice, clean and well organized, as many Targets are. My only gripe like another reviewer mentioned is it's not a Super Target. I guess I've gotten spoiled with the one-stop shop. I was looking forward to grabbing more food items to take back to my room, but the pickings were slim. Hopefully they remodel to improve that because there's too many surrounding hotels for it not to serve the community a bit better and make more as a business. Docked 1 star for that. I used self-checkout and ended up needing assistance scanning a clearance item with a funky barcode. The staff member was kind and helpful.

It caters to high priced bric-a-brac, holidays ornaments, and baby gifts. My problem with the store is the clannish "you ain't from around here" attitude. Over the years of living in Abilene, I've been to the store probably five times, looking for baby gifts. The clerks, whether young or old, have all been just...rude. Either they are totally focused on whichever elderly 'society lady" is gracing the establishment, or they are on the phone or talking to each other at the desk. If they do greet you, it's to aggressively inquire what you're looking for, and if you reply you are just looking, forget it. They'll scowl at you from the desk, sure that you're fingering their merchandise for pocketing. Now, I want to add that I am a middle aged woman, well dressed, and I smile and prepare myself to greet the saleswoman upon entry. I don't know who is training the people who work there to act like this! I honestly don't know why I keep giving them a chance, once a year or so. I can honestly say the best experience I ever had there was seeing something in the window, going in, taking it directly to the desk, and exchanging all of two sentences with the clerk- "yes, that's it", and "thanks" being handed my bag. When I'm told to "shop locally", I laugh and wonder if these businesses have any idea why we shop online.

After being passed of by a senior sales rep. A very nice young man named Jorden helped us even though he would not have reveived a commission on the sale. I had seen a rug online, and had called the store earlier in the week, and had received less than satisfactory results by that call. Jorden said yes, the rug could be ordered and looked up the item number for me. The ladies at customer service would be better suited writing parking tickets, as one of them flatly informed me I would have to call to see the balance left on PCP. The fact that I had never used it made no difference, and they refused to call for me, the customer. Jorden again was willing to call for me, but I called, and put it on speaker to share their horrible hold music. Once my $189 balance was verified, and I thought we were good, they informed me there would be a $90 fee to deliver the rug from Lubbock to Abilene...Really? They didnt do that when we bought a rug 5 years ago! Jorden was willing to pay the delivery fee out of his pocket, as it turns out, but we do not need the rug, only wanted what we were promised. If we do return to Ashley, will only deal with him in the future, as he went well over above and beyond to retain a customer, and it is appreciated. I would give Jorden 5 stars for his integrity, but the rest of ' em can take a flying leap.

They replied that our delivery had been rescheduled to 3 weeks longer for the sofa and 6 weeks longer for the recliner. Customer service is handled thru an automated call center. You can't contact the store directly. Impossible to get any assistance after the sale. I texted and emailed to cancel the order. They said there's a process to do that.i said yes, I'm calling Amex to dispute and refund our money. Amex handled it. Do not do business with Ashley.
