    Petting Zoo

I've been subscribed to Yelp for years and have never written a review, but due to my satisfaction with Becky's Pony Express, I have no choice but to express my sincere and positive experience. I recently celebrated my daughter's birthday and wanted to do something different and special for her so I decided to call a few mobile petting zoos. After a few quotes, it was obvious that I would be using Becky's Pony Express for the following reasons: - Thorough and friendly - No down payment required to book - Lowest price (that I found at least) - Animals are in great shape and are friendly In the end, our friends, family and most importantly, my daughter will have beautiful photos, videos and memories due to Becky's Pony Express. Thank you guys so much! You have a forever customer.

Definitely not what I expected. They showed up with the ponies and hid behind the trailer for 5 minutes before even acknowledging us standing waiting for them. Both handlers looked like they had rolled out of bed and were not very good at communicating (seemed like there was something goin on there). No one told me we couldn't have the ponies in our yard until they showed up. They did pony rides in the middle of the street. The handler was nice overall, but something was off and did not look presentable for a 3 year olds birthday. I was honestly embarrassed, and wish I had spent my money somewhere else. Thankfully the kids didn't notice & still had a good time. After the party, the ponies sat out front and ate our grass while the handler asked for a beer. Again, he was nice... but if you're going to spend the money, I'd recommend going with somewhere more professional and presentable. I also wanted to add - the review below this shows the ponies in a yard with balloons. The handler told me we could NOT have the ponies in our yard with balloons. We had our yard all setup for the ponies but he said they couldn't come back there and had to do pony rides in the street.

Horses leg was messed up "from the previous party" as they said someone to big rode him. Umm then why let him do another party?!

Hired them for my Daughters 1st birthday. The lady over the phone was nice. I got the pony + zoo and first off let me start by saying the customer service with the handler was complete trash, he was basically a careless teenager that seemed pissed for being there. They dropped off the handler, zoo and horse about 2 hours earlier than start but they had let me know this might happen so i wasn't mad about it. They had shade under my trees and ate ALL my grass lol. Which is why they charge more if you don't have grass for them to be, cus they have bring them their own food to eat the whole time if not. The zoo was ok. The kids had fun but some animals did look very maltreated and I was pretty embarrassed and sad when I saw the blood and scars on the faces of the ducks specifically. The horse (pony) was a complete flop! Mind you they were at my house for 2 hours before my party had started but they said the horse was limping and not able to walk or make turns good because a heavy kid rode him at earlier party, like wtf? You guys had time to bring another horse, yet still make this horse ride kids where you could see him struggling. We had to tell the teen to let him take a break or stop all together but I want my money. He said the horse could still ride so no can't give money. Shows how much they care about the animals. 2 stars because they showed up and the kids and my daughter enjoyed it. Just little things like I mentioned is why I wouldn't recommend them to anyone! Look some where else please..

We've had these ponies for our daughter 2 years in a row. Gene is so helpful in arranging everything for us and the handlers are always wonderful. Very skilled with the ponies and knew just what to do to give us the best experience. We will probably have them again next year, because I'm sure our daughter will request it. Thank you to the whole team!!

We hired Becky's Pony Express for my daughter's 4th birthday and we are so happy we did. My daughter is an avid Spirit fan and animal fan in general. We got the petting zoo and pony for her and she loved every bit of it. The gentleman (unfortunately his name escapes me now) running the petting zoo was awesome and friendly. Amelia, who was handling the pony, was amazing! She was so sweet and even played my daughter's favorite Spirit song for her as she was walking her up and down the street on the pony. Definitely would highly recommend!

I would love to volunteer myself too if I lived closer! Aside from events like the open house and summer camps for kids, the best way to get acquainted with the Little Parrot Farm is through their affordable tours on Saturdays. While it may be frustrating for some that you can't just go in and see the animals any day, it really is in their best interest that a staff member is there to supervise these interactions. Too many places allow visitors to harass their animals or feed them random stuff that isn't good for them. And if an animal reacts defensively, it can be very difficult and sad to handle the aftermath. It's also amazing just seeing the same animals every time, and not being worried that anyone is going to be taken to slaughter. My favorite friends are Andy the alpaca, the two sweet pigs, and Maya the rescued border collie. I don't know the names of some of the newer pups, but they were all super friendly. They sell T shirts with their most popular residents featured on them that make for great souvenirs to take home. The farm part of the property is also beautiful and abundant. They sell fresh veggies online for pickup that look amazing, but that I haven't had a chance to try yet. Can't wait to come back for the next event!

I stumbled upon this excellent veggie stand while shopping for chicken and eggs at Maust's Egg Farm…read moresince they are located on site. The veggies at Ian's stand are grown locally and are excellent quality. I was impressed with the variety and have loved everything I've been cooking! I bought some radishes bc I love to snack on them whole and plain - and they have been just delicious. I also bought a giant carrot and some green summer squash to throw in a soup - but I ended up making the squash as a side dish to go with my roasted chicken. That squash was incredible! Such flavor and so soft - infinitely more flavorful (and huge) than any of the same type I've gotten at the grocery stores.  I've been using the giant carrot and cucumber I got in salads and they're also so flavorful and delicious. I used the onion and garlic in my roast chicken and made mashed potatoes with some yellow potatoes from Ians - all fantastic. I'm blown away by just how much more intense the flavors are as opposed to veggies from Ralphs I usually get. The staff were so friendly and their prices were exceptionally reasonable - I paid $10 for my whole haul so I'll definitely be stocking up on veggies from here anytime I'm making a chicken run at Maust's farm lol! Ian's farm stand is located right next to the petting zoo on Maust's property and is easy to find. There's plenty of parking on site as well - it's unpaved but in excellent condition so no issues there. Highly recommend veggies from Ian's stand!

You can tell the students really put their heart into making the whole event feel welcoming and organized. The petting zoo was really fun- Goats and herds of sheep were walking around the petting area awaiting to be fed (really liked the cleaning station near the exit for easy hand washing), animals were really mellow- which created a fun environment for kids. Agreed with some reviews; the entrance fee is a bit pricey, though I did enjoy this festival

He had indicated before $10.00 each adult and children over 3 years. If I hadn't said anything he would have over charged me. Our appt. Time was 11:45 am and we were on-time. It was a very hot day, 7/18/'24, 93 degrees. David walked us over to the small petting farm where we saw bunny rabbits, 1, 2, 3 and 4 year turtles. The mama turtles were in front yard and we didn't see any on our way in or way out, but discouraging. Also saw piggies here and lots of ducks. We did go to the back where horses, donkeys, wild turkeys, baby donkey & mama, lama, and sheep (at a far distance). A bit disappointed that the only water we saw for the beautiful horse was all dark brown and did not have clean water. Also, discouraged the horsey was on bare sun, how would you like to be in the sun all day like that David? I don't think you would enjoy it. We forgot our carrots that we prepared the previous night and David didn't offer any. We were done in 15 minutes and that was it. It would be nice to provide carrot for us to feed the animals when forgotten accidentally, even if we have to pay. Anyway we paid $30.00 and we didn't feel it was worth it for that amount for 15 minutes and horsey with dirty water...that's a no no.
