I've been subscribed to Yelp for years and have never written a review, but due to my satisfaction with Becky's Pony Express, I have no choice but to express my sincere and positive experience. I recently celebrated my daughter's birthday and wanted to do something different and special for her so I decided to call a few mobile petting zoos. After a few quotes, it was obvious that I would be using Becky's Pony Express for the following reasons: - Thorough and friendly - No down payment required to book - Lowest price (that I found at least) - Animals are in great shape and are friendly In the end, our friends, family and most importantly, my daughter will have beautiful photos, videos and memories due to Becky's Pony Express. Thank you guys so much! You have a forever customer. read more

We used this company for our daughter's birthday and they were beyond amazing. From drop off, to set up, and clean up they were on it. The gentleman that helped with the petting zoo and pony rides were so nice and respectful. I'd recommend them to anyone!! They made my day and my daughter's day. Appreciate them! read more

Definitely not what I expected. They showed up with the ponies and hid behind the trailer for 5 minutes before even acknowledging us standing waiting for them. Both handlers looked like they had rolled out of bed and were not very good at communicating (seemed like there was something goin on there). No one told me we couldn't have the ponies in our yard until they showed up. They did pony rides in the middle of the street. The handler was nice overall, but something was off and did not look presentable for a 3 year olds birthday. I was honestly embarrassed, and wish I had spent my money somewhere else. Thankfully the kids didn't notice & still had a good time. After the party, the ponies sat out front and ate our grass while the handler asked for a beer. Again, he was nice... but if you're going to spend the money, I'd recommend going with somewhere more professional and presentable. I also wanted to add - the review below this shows the ponies in a yard with balloons. The handler told me we could NOT have the ponies in our yard with balloons. We had our yard all setup for the ponies but he said they couldn't come back there and had to do pony rides in the street. read more

Hired them for my Daughters 1st birthday. The lady over the phone was nice. I got the pony + zoo and first off let me start by saying the customer service with the handler was complete trash, he was basically a careless teenager that seemed pissed for being there. They dropped off the handler, zoo and horse about 2 hours earlier than start but they had let me know this might happen so i wasn't mad about it. They had shade under my trees and ate ALL my grass lol. Which is why they charge more if you don't have grass for them to be, cus they have bring them their own food to eat the whole time if not. The zoo was ok. The kids had fun but some animals did look very maltreated and I was pretty embarrassed and sad when I saw the blood and scars on the faces of the ducks specifically. The horse (pony) was a complete flop! Mind you they were at my house for 2 hours before my party had started but they said the horse was limping and not able to walk or make turns good because a heavy kid rode him at earlier party, like wtf? You guys had time to bring another horse, yet still make this horse ride kids where you could see him struggling. We had to tell the teen to let him take a break or stop all together but I want my money. He said the horse could still ride so no can't give money. Shows how much they care about the animals. 2 stars because they showed up and the kids and my daughter enjoyed it. Just little things like I mentioned is why I wouldn't recommend them to anyone! Look some where else please.. read more

Becky's Pony Express - Horses leg was messed up "from the previous party" as they said someone to big rode him. Umm then why let him do another party?! - Petting Zoos Near Me

Last minute booking, and great service. Highly recommend! Our daughter loved the pony and goats.

Do NOT BOTHER WITH THIS express pony .. They Literally ruined my daughter's birthday I was left with the embarrassment the day of her party they decide not to come and the worst part is that they didn't bother to even call me .!!!!!! I had to call them see what's going on and that's when they told me they're not coming. I am so embarrassed with my guest I promised the kids a lil zoo .. these people don't know how to manage their business go somewhere else read more

We've had these ponies for our daughter 2 years in a row. Gene is so helpful in arranging everything for us and the handlers are always wonderful. Very skilled with the ponies and knew just what to do to give us the best experience. We will probably have them again next year, because I'm sure our daughter will request it. Thank you to the whole team!! read more

I had a pretty good experience with Becky's Pony Express. The customer service on the phone was great and we confirmed a few times before my daughter's 2nd birthday party. The petting zoo was able to be in my backyard and they did the pony rides on the driveway of our property. Overall I had a good experience! After reading some of the reviews I see there was issues with the handler, which I do understand, but at the end of the day, they did what they were hired to do and the kids had a blast! read more

We hired Becky's Pony Express for my daughter's 4th birthday and we are so happy we did. My daughter is an avid Spirit fan and animal fan in general. We got the petting zoo and pony for her and she loved every bit of it. The gentleman (unfortunately his name escapes me now) running the petting zoo was awesome and friendly. Amelia, who was handling the pony, was amazing! She was so sweet and even played my daughter's favorite Spirit song for her as she was walking her up and down the street on the pony. Definitely would highly recommend! read more

I am a caterer and I called for a quote and wanted their email for a professional written quote for a corporate event for 1000 guests. The woman who answered (Jean) said: "we don't do that, we quote touchy feely". HUH? She was so rude I couldn't even believe they booked events. This could have been a $3000 job for them. I hope Becky reads this and gets someone who understands customer service. SO SAD. I guess Birthday parties are different... and a verbal quote will do for them. Good luck to them. read more

Terrible terrible terrible !!!!!!!!! The horses were old sick and very badly taken care of....when they came to my sons party they wouldn't ride any of the kids it was so embarrassing they handler was pulling the horses and nothing they wouldn't budge. They thought one was scared idk from what but the other one would ride the kids I said well then I would like half my money back they said they could refund me 25 dollars of the 360 I paid in cash before any rides which is there policy and now I know why .... The other horse didn't want to ride kids either so I sent them home I was refund my money as not one child rode the horses but how disappointing for my rodeo party I took 6mo planning to have no pony rides. read more

I called several times a month prior to my daughter's 4th birthday, but could not secure anything for a while. I really wanted to use this vendor as the reviews were stellar and prices were unbeatable. I finally asked them if they knew someone else or could recommend me to another company, and almost immediately they called back with a different vendor. The price was a little higher than what was originally quoted, but still lower than elsewhere I've looked at, so we got our ponies!!! The handlers, Betty and John, were a delight, and the ponies were cared for so well they handled 26 kids with poise. Betty and John sure knew how to handle kids and as they were giving the rides, they'd ask them questions and converse with them so well, I knew all the kids were in good hands. I'd definitely hire them again. The ponies were such a big hit and it was the talk of the party. Thanks so much! I'd recommend this place anytime, any day! read more

I booked Becky's Pony Express for my son's first birthday party this past weekend. As soon as I sent an inquiry a few weeks back, they were very responsive and their pricing was very reasonable. I booked them for 2 hours. Day of the party, everything was great, the petting zoo was a huge hit and the kids loved the animals. HOWEVER, there were two HUGE red flags that left a VERY bad lasting impression with me, which is why I will NEVER recommend this company to anyone. 1. The handler some show fit all of the following items items in a DODGE CHARGER: - a goat - a sheep - 3 baby goats stuffed in a small kennel - a Goose and a chicken in a small kennel - two rabbits in a small kennel - guinea pigs in a small kennel - an EZ UP - and a 10x10 fence. IN A DODGE CHARGER. It was 84 degrees outside and I watched him pull these baby goats stuffed in a kennel out of HIS TRUNK. 2. On the way in, he DRAGGED THE SHEEP and pulled it in to the backyard. On the way out, the sheep didn't want to leave (as it's baby was still in the petting zoo corral) and it resisted. He continued to PULL THE SHEEP by the collar and attempt to DRAG IT OUT of the party. Not only was this VERY awkward to watch, but you can clearly see the sheep was distressed. He could have lured it out with food, or asked any of us to help, or maybe could have taken a second to take any of the other animals out. After watching him drag the sheep for a few seconds and clearly see the sheep shake its neck around and pee and poop all over and lay down, breathing heavily, I stepped in and had to very sternly tell this guy that I did not feel comfortable with the way he was treating the animals and clearly the sheep was distressed and that he needs to relax. After a few seconds of giving the sheep a little time to breathe, he ended up picking it up and taking it to his car. THE DODGE CHARGER, mind you. I am emphasizing the car because it's a SMALL SEDAN. In my opinion, I don't give 2 shits about how well priced you are, or how responsive or anything. If you're mistreating these animals and not providing appropriate space or transportation for these animals - it's a BIG NO FOR ME. I'm happy to discuss my experience further with the business owner, if they'd like to make sure this doesn't happen again for other customers. Feel free to call me. read more

We hosted a carnival a couple weekends ago and used Becky's Pony Express for our petting zoo, which was an absolute hit for the kids. The employee was very personable and great with our attendees. I'll definitely refer this business to anybody looking for this specific service and would love to use them again for next year's event. Prices were also great compared to others! Thank you! read more

I hired Becky's ponies for my son and daughter's birthday party and had a wonderful experience. Winnie was so easy to work with to arrange everything and the kids loved the ponies. They responded to all of my questions right away and were great. I've been to other parties where the ponies are not well groomed but these ones were beautiful and the saddles were perfect for toddlers and younger kids. Great price also. I called several places in our area and Winnie was by far the best price for two ponies. If you are looking to hire for a birthday or a kids party, use this company! read more

Thank you Becky's for an amazing 3rd birthday party for my little girl. My daughter and all of my guests(50+) had such a great time. The kids having unlimited pony rides for 2 hours and the parents all watching and taking pictures. It was plenty of time for all of the kids to ride as many times as they wanted. Nothing but smiling faces. This was a day that none of us will ever forget. Thank you again. read more

I hired Becky's Pony Express for my daughter's birthday. I looked at all the reviews and called for prices. They had the best price and consistent good reviews. I know there are not a lot of reviews on Yelp for them, but there are a bunch of reviews on another site that's linked on their website. I arranged everything via text and didn't have to pay a deposit. Just had to pay the balance in cash on day of event. The price for 2 ponies wasn't much more than 1 pony, so we had 2. The kids loved it! read more

I hired this company to bring in two Ponies for my niece's birthday party, gifted by her grandfather. The Ponies are very well taken care of, friendly and patient with all the kids. Would also like to add that the handler left the area very clean. The person I spoke with, Winnie, was very professional and very sweet. She responded to all my questions promptly. The young lady left to handle the pony rides was very polite and carefully guided kids on and off the Ponies. Definitely recommend Becky's Pony Express. Thank you so Much Winnie!! read more

I went with them because they had great prices. They brought two ponies and a petting zoo. The ponies were so calm and well fed. My favorite petting zoo animal was the goats. I can sit all day and pet them. The chickens were amusing and kept us entertained. Overall the kids had a lot of fun with the continuous pony rides for two hours. read more

We hired Becky's ponies for my son's 4th birthday and were extremely happy with them. I checked around a lot for pricing because we were already doing a water slide and another jumper and I wasn't sure the ponies would be affordable. I had a lot of similar quotes but BPE was lowest by a noticeable amount. They booked us pretty sort notice and we were very appreciative about that because I'm sure summer weekends are a high volume time for party activities. The ponies were very sweet and well tempered, pretty and well maintained. We had about 15 kids and they all got the opportunity to ride multiple times. They worked really well with the space we had available. Very happy with this service and will be using them again when my daughter is ready for a pony party. She adores animals and any kid would be blown away by having these lovely ponies visit on their birthday. read more

Beware!! Small animals filthy and unable to be petted. Rabbits and guina pigs came crammed in small plastic carriers panting and lying in urine and feces and wet food. They looked nothing like the photos on the website. Handler did nothing to clean them or explain. The children would not go near them. When I called to complain, owner stated I should have asked better questions before hiring. Ha! Buyer beware! The sheep and goats were fun and that's why 2 stars. read more

I'm glad all of you had a great experience, my granddaughter certainly did not. They have the worst customer service. They were supposed to show up at 2 and at 2 someone buzzed my gate and said they couldn't drive up to my house because it was winded road and they couldn't drive up. Mind you when I reserved I specifically told the lady who answered that I lived in a hill and it was hard to drive up here, she told me she couldn't reserve the size of the truck ahead of time. She kept insisting that I never told her that I lived in a hill. I spent more than 10 minutes on the phone with the very rude woman who never apologized even once but rather argued with me the entire time about how I supposedly never informed her of the road restrictions. Meanwhile, another gentleman working for the company had arrived at my house, and walked into the front drive way with no mask, immediately defensive and rude about the situation that was happening. Instead of being apologetic he immediately verbally attacked us about how it was IMPOSSIBLE for the trailer to get up and that there was nothing they could do, did not apologize once. And he even walked away as my daughter was speaking to him about their poor planning and customer service and drove off. This was by far the worst customer service and worst company I have ever worked with. No accountability for their poor planning, they just pointed fingers and blamed me for a problem that was clearly result of their poor planning and inability to listen to clear instructions that I provided in advance. Completely ruined a 7 year olds birthday. read more

I was in a bind. I had paid a deposit for another local company to come to my event with a petting zoo and ponies. The manager at the other place did not take my calls or respond to my messages for days and I had my event coming up in a couple of days. Becky's Pony Express came to my rescue. I called Becky's Pony Express who came recommended from another local provider (who was busy for my upcoming date). I was assured if Becky says she will show up, she will show up. So I see why Becky's Pony Express was recommended, they did everything they could to accommodate me and help me. Their response was immediate. Wendy was so helpful and accommodating. They are top notch, responsible and professional. read more
