I have been lucky enough to do some traveling in my day. I love driving, cranking music, singing to…read moreyourself in the rearview mirror. Anyway if you drive a lot your are going to need gas at some point, and sometimes you have no other option then to go to a SHELL station. Now Shell stations are tied with my least favorite gas chains with Marathons! Why you might ask? Well I have never met a Shell station that was very clean, had towels by the pumps, have a bathroom you would want to go in! Sturdy, old and dirty is how I would describe this shell! They also had a weird sign posted on the window that I thought was completely unnecessary. Oh well sometimes to go through Shell to get to Heaven.

We were on the road on a Friday evening and put in an order ahead of time for a large specialty…read moreHawaiian pizza so that it would be ready by the time we would get there. Sure enough, it was hot and ready when we arrived. We also picked up a few premade items. The pizza was good, but being gas station pizza it has a ceiling. It was as good as we expected it to be. The premade items (slice of cheese pizza and premade King's Hawaiian BBQ Brisket Sliders) were good as wel. Great stop on a road trip when you need to get gas, use the (clean) bathroom, and grab some food to go along I-88 as long as you don't expect anything beyond gas station standards. Lastly, everyone we interacted with was friendly and helpful.

The woman who replaced them was in a really shitty mood and just boxed the food that was all burnt to shit and just sent it out. The wings were hard as rocks we literally horsed one down the street with a baseball bat lol. and the rest was BARELY edible.

This gas station was right by the Clinton Bridge and I take advantage of the cheap gas before for heading over the border. Even late at night, the gas station had a lot of hot food items. Staff here was pretty friendly and the restrooms weren't too bad at all. Overall, I thought this place was worth stopping at!

I'm not that ambitious.... the Flying J tho is clean inside and the staff is very nice... there is no restaurant amenity inside like subway or Denny's which would be nice but, nope... the coffee is good ... lol and the showers were clean ... I read on another review about the water and it wasn't that bad... I used my own shampoo maybe that was why they couldn't get it all out... lol .. it is quiet here lots of parking good for a 10 hour layover but 34 is pushing it... all in all not that bad tho

Annawan bites the dust…read more I know, my jokes are getting worse. I feel like a Shell of my former self. I might try out for a role in the Broadway version of Star Wars: Phantom Menace. As "Annawan Skywalker." OK I'll stop. This Shell station is in the middle of nowhere just off the highway when you're Crossing Illinois and it's very useful in the middle of the night when you need gas. The price is pretty decent and sometimes slightly more than the station across the street.
