I called and spoke with Dave at Laramie diesel repair, he was kind encouraged us to limp it along and got us right in. We were back on the road in just a short time, they had quick part delivery and great customer service. While there I saw the nicest note on their wall from one of their customers for changing her flat. They are great people. 5 stars for sure!

I scheduled an appointment to have my differential fluid changed on my RV (Ford F-600 chassis) Showed up at 9am. I was told it would be an hour to an hour and half. 3 hours later they told me they had to run to Ford to get the fluid, which is less than 4 miles away. 30 min later they said it was picked up and it was on its way back, but I had just called Ford and they said nothing was picked up. I called them out on the lie and they admitted it was being delivered from Fremont Ford that is 2.5 hours away because it's cheaper. I told them next time don't lie, give the customer the choice. I would have picked it up myself, payed full price and been on the road hours ago. We have a 5 hour drive ahead of us and they knew that. We sat in the parking lot with our 2 dogs for nearly 5 hours. The waiting was disappointing. The lies were unacceptable. Would never go back.

    So to start off. on April 7th I called advanced for a quote on an engine cleaning and tumbling…read more they gave me a quote of 120$ I took notes on this and compared it to places in my general vicinity. i told them I'd look for a plate for the engine but just for the time being, I wanted a hot tank and a tumble. he told me it would be a week or so due to employee circumstances. Completely under stand it, stuff happens. between the 7th of April and the day I picked it up on the first of may, they contacted me twice the day before it was done and the morning of. communication problems again I get it. stuff happens, where my problem comes in. On the afternoon of the first of may I headed in and was very respectful to the service manager behind the front desk. He told me it would be approximately 243$ aka double what he first quoted me. This was given to me without any reasoning or justification. I asked him about it in a respectful manner mentioning that when I called 4 weeks prior I had noted he gave me a quote of 120$. He immediately throws away the 243$ repair copy and changes his price on the computer to 120$. then he askes me "do you go to the tech here" I replied with "yes sir" He then tells me "that makes sense all you kids do is b*itch and complain". then proceeded to tell me I don't know the difference between a quote and a final statement. Im not sure if he gets paid on commission or salary with a bonus but regardless talked to anyone let alone a customer is unacceptable. then trying to upcharge me on a job that was extremely small. I was planning on bringing other work there but since this interaction I will NEVER recommend anyone to there service. looking back I should have drove down to Colorado. After that interaction I asked for the owners number and he happily gave me Leonards name and number and told me "feel free to call him he will agree with me". I left Leonard a long voicemail right after explaining my incident and it being 4 days later he has not tried to contact me other than there automated customer service text. I would love to speak to the owner call or in person. the ball is in there court. advanced automotive doesn't care about students or there customer service reputation here in Laramie. Along with ALL of this I will be informing every student that atends wyotech to not bring there business here. And there is no way they can have almost 600 reviews on there website while having 6 reviews on yelp. One having a "4.8" and the other being a "3" Ball is in your court Leonard.

    Untrustable shop! The worst experience I've ever had with a mechanic. We live in a small town and I…read moredont know why they did this gamble with their reputation?!! Here is the story: I got an appointment for a regular service on my Mercedes 2011 E350 with 120k miles 2 weeks ago. I asked about the cost of service and been told "we dont know and need to check what Mercedes instruction is". Fair enough. I left the car with them yesterday morning and havent received any update until I called them today at noon. They said "we have been working on your car yesterday and today and it'll be ready late this afternoon". Anyway, I went there at 5:00 pm and been told that it takes time to prepare the worksheet!! Come back at 6:00 pm. When I asked about the cost, I heard we dont know yet! When I went back the first thing they showed me was a screen on the computer that shows different services for Mercedes cars and some numbers which he explained as the labor cost "if you take your car to dealership" and said "it will exceed $900-$1000 just for labor". Very nasty trick to throw a high price for a psychological shock and then hit you with lower price with relief. Anyway, he put $537 bill in front of me and said "thats half of dealership charges!" When I confronted him about it and asked why you didnt tell me the cost and you shouldn't do things without consulting with me (customer), he said "you didnt say you have a LIMIT so I fixed your car". WTF does that mean and how does this justify a fat bill??? To be clear, my car was not broken and it was fully functional with no significant problem. At the end he lowered the bill to $388 but its the worst way of doing business. As a first time customer, my experience was horrible and I found too many red flags to not trust this shop.
