Their service department is supposed to do more than just change your oil. They don't do any of it so make sure even if they check on the sheet that they did they probably didn't. read more

Awful service department. I took a 2015 GMC Yukon to these people to fix gliche in door locks. They replaced the door lock module and gave it back to me with other door locks not working. They worked fine when I dropped it off. When I suggested they may have caused the new problem there explanation was "it just happened to occur while they had vehicle" and it was bad luck. They want $1,000 to replace door handles now. The story does not end there, I also dropped off my band new Chevy truck for a recall issue (same day). They returned that to me with a check engine light on and another issue that needs to be repaired. When I questioned how they could receive two vehicles for repair and return BOTH with new problems once again just "bad luck". Completely lack common sense and attention to detail in this shop. Service manager just wanted to justify their position and offered no help on solution. If you want to get ripped off, have horrible drop off parking and be treated like an annoyance rather than a customer head on in to this lovely establishment. Why not pay extra for a GMC certified shop? read more

I purchased a used vehicle from Becker. I checked it over the best I could prior to the purchase. The fluids looked reasonable, there was no check engine light on, and it drove smoothly with no odd noises. I checked the Carfax as posted on Becker's site, and it was clean as well. As Becker Buick has been around for a long time, I felt more confident in purchasing a car from them vs. purchasing from one of the many there-today-gone-tomorrow shops that populate Sprague Ave. The next morning I hopped in the car to drive to work and the check engine light immediately came on. I pulled the trouble codes from the car and found it had a "Large Evaporative Emissions Leak". It also displayed a code indicating the battery had been disconnected recently. For those who don't know, on cars 1995 and newer, a car displaying a code like this won't pass emissions. I'd just purchased a car that wouldn't pass emissions, and from all appearances, someone had disconnected the battery to make the car "forget" the code temporarily. This started my descent into used car hell. In addition to this code, I found during an oil change that the transmission pan was leaking. When it rained, I found the trunk would get wet. When on the freeway, while climbing hills, the entire front end would shudder back and forth. On cold mornings, there was a rumble from the engine until it warmed up, and I discovered the idler pulleys and belts were worn out. At one point the salesman from Becker e-mailed me asking if I was "satisfied". I related my problem with the mysterious code and the evidence the code had been reset by pulling the battery. He said it was "probably a gasket or something" and I never heard from him again. The final straw came when I went to change one of the turn signal bulbs, which on the car I purchased requires removing the headlight. Pulling the headlight revealed improperly repaired crash damage. So now I had a car that wouldn't pass emissions without expensive repairs (I'd already tried the "cheap fixes by this point, now I'm to the point that much more expensive diagnostics are needed), with bad belts and bad pulleys, that shimmied on the freeway while at speed and now on top of all that was in a collision and was repaired by someone who didn't know what they were doing, and which was missing important crash mitigation components. I e-mailed the Customer Service manager at Becker Buick, and never received a reply. I finally wrote them a very polite letter, printed out a copy of the photo of the crash damage, and mailed it to them. A few days later I received the below e-mail from the President of Becker Buick GMC, Wayne Cornwell, which is below: ---------------- Mr. *redacted*, I'm sorry you are upset with Becker. It's a matter of opinion on whether the problems you are experiencing are minor or major, in my opinion they are minor. There are many, many reasons a check engine light could come on and most of the time it's a minor issue. As for un-hooking the battery to clear the codes, please keep in mind it was probably the previous owner that did that prior to trading it in, we see it often! Mr. *redacted* when we sell an older vehicle we make it quite clear that the vehicle is being sold AS-IS and that the buyer is responsible for any and all future repairs. I have sent an attachment of the purchase order that you signed stating just that. Again I'm sorry that you are not happy with us, but we made it clear that we would not stand behind the vehicle! Thank-You Wayne Cornwell President Becker Buick GMC -------------- Mr. Cornwell appears to think my issues are "minor". I suppose they are minor to someone who isn't in possession of a car that will require repairs likely exceeding 25% of the purchase price, has hidden unrepaired crash damage, and which won't even pass Washington State emissions. Mr. Cornwell admits freely that they "often" see customers trade in vehicles after resetting the car's computer to make the check engine light go out, yet they don't bother checking for this when preparing a trade-in for resale? How many other people have driven off the Becker lot with a ticking time bomb under their hood? In my opinion, this vehicle was likely run through their car wash, vacuumed out and dropped on their used car lot with no other attempts to ascertain its condition or repair any defects. Worse, this company (despite their marketing to the contrary), does not practice "excellent customer service", and I suspect the reason why they don't care about their customers is because their President doesn't care. This is an excellent way to make a quick profit, but an unconscionably poor way to treat your customers. It's possible my experience is unusual, but I doubt it. Beware if you choose to purchase a vehicle from Becker Buick GMC. Otherwise you'll end up like me, just another sucker they made a quick and easy profit on. read more

I purchased a Beautiful Denali from Kelly and Amy at your dealership. They were wonderful to work with and didn't make me feel like I wanted to run away (like some car dealership do by pushy sales people.) they were knowledgable, friendly, and got me all the information I requested without any hassle. I also worked with Andy who did the delivery and he answered all of my questions on the car (I'm a new GMC buyer.) I would reccommend all three if these people to anyone. My only dissatisfaction was with the Sales Manager, I don't recall his name. And he never introduced himself. He was very short, unfriendly, and didn't seem to care if he had my business or not. I would have left the dealership if it had not been for the rest of your staff that made up for his poor attitude. I work in management in sales and I can say that his actions/behavior would never have been tolerated at my company. There are always difficult situations but I've found that you can almost always resolve them by the way you handle the situation. I had been looking for a used 4x4 full-size pick up for the last few months. On Monday I was driving back from Yelm Washington after checking out a truck when I noticed some trucks at a Buick dealer off the interstate. I called what I thought was the dealer I saw but got Becker and they told me about a truck that sounded perfect. After I hung up I called the dealer I thought I was calling first and got a salesman that just kept saying I've got plenty of trucks I'm sure I have something close. Didn't have the time for that so doubled back to Becker. When I got there I was greeted by Paul Guffin, whom I spoke to. Anyway, he showed me the truck, I drove it and liked it. We then worked out a deal less any haggling and away I went, I live in Sagle. When I was still about 20 miles from my house the truck started acting quite erratic, I thought it was the transmission and was hesitant about continuing. I called Paul and explained what was going on and he asked if I thought I could make it the rest of the way safely. I said I'd try so I checked oil and transmission fluids to make sure that wasn't the problem so I continued home. I was going to wait til morning to contact Paul and see what I should do. My fear was that I bought this truck with over 100k miles on it an signed a AS-IS document which normally means, sorry. I got a call that night around 7:30 from Pau, from his home, to make sure I got home alright and then advised me to have it towed back to the dealership and when I asked who was to pay for that ,he said the dealership would take care of it. They picked up the truck the next morning before 9:30am. Midday the following day Scott from the service department phone to tell me the truck was ready and the problem was relatively minor and not related to the transmission at all. I went down the following day and was met by Paul and took me to my truck that was cleaned and ready to go. I was in the car business for 30 plus years and you always dread this kind of situation but the way that Paul and Becker Buick handled this was so impressive and as far as I'm concerned, they have set their standards very high in the auto industry, comparable to that of Lexus. I brought my car in for a replacement of a serpentine belt and a oil change. This went fine, then 2 weeks later my tensioner that the serpentine belt goes on completely melted and left me stranded on the side of the road. I would think that the dealership would check the parts when replacing the belt because I would have gladly paid for a new part then get stranded. The dealer did mention new tires, brakes and wiper blades though things I was not there for. When I called all they said was they did check but no sorry this happened or anything. I will not be taking my car back to this dealership for service again. read more

If there were an option for zero stars I would be giving them that. I bought a 2008 Chrysler Sebring for my son and this car has had nothing but problems. The engine blew up within a year of having it and their supposed warranty was void because we missed ONE oil change. $4000 later and it has a new engine but the check engine light has been on practically since we brought the car home. I just found out that it's because of the catalytic converter. So he can't pass emissions without getting that fixed and nowhere in town will do it for less than $1000. Including Becker who sold us the lemon in the first place. I didn't know it was possible for a company to take a piece of junk and hide all the faults just to sell a car but I swear they probably turned the mileage back with a drill when they were cleaning out the catalytic converter just enough to get the check engine light off so they could make a buck. Do NOT buy from this company. read more

Excellent service department is a direct reflection of Jerry. He seems to have eyes in the back of his head as he is aware of everything that is going on. They did the needed repairs as quickly as possible. When one part took longer to get and install we got a loaner car! Very disappointed in their service after the sale for a used truck. I bought the truck online after they had inspected it in their shop, and found no problems. When I had the truck safety inspected as soon as I got home (necessary to license it where I live), it was failed for several defects including worn out ball joints and rear stabilizer links. The repairs were almost $800. I contacted Becker Buick right away and documented the defects. They refused to accept any of the cost and denied that there were any problems with the truck. DO NOT BUY A USED VEHICLE FROM THESE GUYS UNLESS YOUR MECHANIC HAS INSPECTED IT!!!!! read more

I have had my 2007 Ford Taurus since 2008. I have never really cleaned and any vaccum job done on it was pretty sad at those drive through washers. My kids are 7 and 9 and grew up in this car. I can't imagine the things that were hiding in every crack. When I got my car back I couldn't believe it was the same car!!! Every person to get in my car since has been just flabbergasted at how amazing it looks! They even found a missing door panel that had wedged under my seat and reattatched it!!!!!!!!!! I couldn't believe it. They are awesome almost too good! Hope I can keep it clean. read more
