We hired Mr. Becker and his team to plan our 180-person wedding. Working with them proved frustrating and required constant oversight from us. Key issues: Chronic Disorganization: there were many times where Becker had the wrong time, location, or other details for a meeting we had with them or a vendor. Or they would fail to pass along important information to or from the vendor. We had to constantly police that. Mr. Becker gave wrong ceremony cues taken from his team's own incorrect notes, and there was poor or no communication when things were running behind schedule during the event (due to Becker and their recommended vendors, not us.) Not Proactive or Reliable: We had to chase them for updates, confirmations, and corrections to ensure things got done correctly, on time, or at all. Mr. Becker assured us they would get most of the planning done before our trip out of town, but they didn't. We then asked to get it done at least a week before the wedding so we could enjoy time with family from out of town. They failed there too. Vendor Issues: Instead of the multiple vendor options promised, we were almost always steered to one "preferred" vendor. Several of them also under-delivered (wrong food items served, late deliveries, etc.). Botched Execution: Becker put far more decor at the ceremony site than we asked for. We gave out framed photos at the wedding, but Becker's team got frames that were too big for the photos. The cake was placed directly under a heater and was brought out much later than we asked for. Guest favors were placed in the wrong location so most of the guests never saw them. I could go on and on. Because of all the above, our planning process and day of involvement were much more stressful and involved than they should've been. On top of that, Becker was *very* expensive - 50%-100% more than comparable planners we researched. In the end, the wedding was beautiful in spite of these issues, not because the planning and execution was smooth. If you want a planner that you can count on, look elsewhere. read more

I had always been hesitant to work with party planners until we worked with Ariel in 2013 for our daughter's Bat Mitzvah. Words can not express our gratitude and satisfaction for his hard work and professionalism. This was the first party I had held and had enjoyed every moment of it because Ariel was there to take care of every detail. We just had our son's Bar Mitzvah last month in November and it was as perfect and beautiful as our daughter's party thanks to Ariel.
