Cute little restaurant in a Sintra alleyway! I was on an all-day tour in Sintra, and my tour guide recommended we stop by Becco for a tasty, authentic Portuguese lunch. It was a tad touristy (but that's to be expected in a tourist-y town), but generally very cute and cozy! Our server was super friendly, and they have menus available in Portuguese, Spanish, French, and English. The food was solid and portions quite large -- my mother and I split a house salad, starter sampler, cod, and tuna steak, and we were quite stuffed. Everything was very fresh and well-prepared, and had a good balance of flavors. The starter isn't super worth it at €8,50 for a bit of bread and a couple small dips, but the bread was warm and soft, and I loved the way they prepared the olives. All in all, if you're visiting Sintra (which you absolutely should -- it's a must-visit in Lisbon), Becco de Sintra is a delightful stop to refuel in between palaces. read more
