My first experience here (getting a cut and color) was genuinely great, which is why I decided to come back for additional services. The bad - this most recent visit was unfortunately one of the most disappointing salon experiences I've had. I spent around $600 on a cut, toner, and Brazilian Blowout. Unfortunately, the Brazilian I received here did not work. After washing my hair for the first time, my hair looked and behaved exactly the same as it did before the service. There was no noticeable change in frizz, smoothness, drying time, manageability, or overall texture. I've been getting Brazilians consistently for 7+ years and they have always produced a very obvious result immediately after the first wash (smoother texture, dramatically reduced frizz, less volume, and much easier styling/manageability). When I reached out to the salon, they offered a redo appointment. However, I declined because I've learned from past experience that when a stylist cannot get their service right the first time, repeating the process can cause additional damage to my hair and more wasted time and money in the end. I explained that I was not comfortable putting more chemicals on my hair and instead requested a refund. The salon denied my request and referred to their salon policy. However, after reviewing the signed policy myself, I noted that it does not state that refunds are unavailable for for Brazilians, or when a service fails to produce the intended result - so I was well within my right to ask for a refund. Despite explaining my concerns again and trying to resolve the issue directly, the salon still refused to offer any refund or partial resolution, which I found disappointing given the cost of the service and outcome. Since then, I've consulted with two veteran stylists at another Long Beach salon that specializes in smoothing treatments. After examining my hair and asking questions about the process, both independently agreed the Brazilian was not performed properly. In addition, they stated I did the right thing not adding more Brazilian chemicals to my hair as it would have caused more damage. I had to pay extra money to have my hair treated with a different approach and to also have my color adjusted due to the way the original Brazilian lifted my color at Polished Mane. Before leaving this review, I attempted multiple times to resolve the issue directly and privately with the salon, as I'm not interested in damaging anyone's business or online reputation. However, given both the outcome of the service and the salon's unwillingness to offer any meaningful resolution, I felt it was important to share my experience and unfortunately will not be returning.

She has a private room which helps if you don't want the extra noice from a normal salon. Next she walked me through regarding what I wanted and what she recommended.
