Although Paul did make an effort to resolve the issues, by that point the lack of communication and trust had already caused too many problems. Unfortunately, what should have been an exciting kitchen renovation turned into a very negative experience. The template guy, Javek, did an incredibly thorough job and taught me so much about what it takes to ensure proper counter care and installation. The installation team was fast and efficient. Overall, it took me 2 weeks from start to finish - from picking the stone to installation. I had the BEST experience here and I was feeling wary at first because of the previous reviews. However, I decided to go with GKB and am so glad I did. In detail, here's why I highly recommend GKB for your counters: 1) Yoselin was so attentive. I would email and call her with a million questions and she always took the time to carefully answer each one. I had her on the phone for 45 min at times and she was never impatient. I felt secure in my transaction because I had Yoselin on my side and I knew she was 100% dedicated to making sure I was happy. 2) Javek is the most knowledgeable template maker you will ever meet. He came and spent 2 hours making a custom template for wood boards. Other companies bring pieces of cardboard and guesstimate. Not Javek. This guy is responsible and exact. 3) Installation team came and had all the pieces installed in 1.5 hours. They were on time and very respectful. 4) The quotes were spot on. No hidden fees, no surprises. You can pay deposits with personal checks. Final payment needs to be in cash. 5) I had the opportunity to go in store and pick out the exact cut of the stone after my template was done. This is great - such flexibility! I literally had the opportunity to tell them which corner of the slab I wanted them to cut from and specify all the details. This process was also easy and pain free. 6) GKB has the largest selection of QUALITY slabs at the best price. I looked at 3-4 different slab vendors. Either the vendors were over pricing their stock or their slabs were uninspiring. The quartzite I ultimately chose was something I found ONLY at GKB. It was the "yes" moment I was waiting for. 7) I felt valued as a customer. They respected me and my time. At the end, I got the exact counters I wanted and they are beautiful. What more could you want?

Not even 6 months installed and OUR NEW COUNTER TOP HAS CHIPPPED and yes we are careful. Along with that the counter top included a new sink but the dimensions of the new sink is much deeper than the standard sink we had. This has caused us plumbing issues. All I want is the same size sink we had before this will take care of the piping issues we now have which is too low because the sink is deeper and the water can't make it up to the piping in the wall to drain down it sits and eventually leaks .. It now leaks and is travelling to the lower level of our house. WE NEVER had issues with this before. The plumber tha came would have to tear into the walls and change the piping for a sink that's too deep $$$$. Its not a standard size and maybe they are trying to get rid of them and we were the suckers that they dumped it on. We have called , emailed and texted since early July. Peter Califano needs to continue to do his job. If there was a way I could share his text to me when I reached out to him about the issue I was basically told NOT THERE PROBLEM and get a second opinion. He has not responded back to my text/pictures. "I guess this is called ghosting" which I sent since in early July. We have called stone system and I have emailed as well and guess what?! NO ONE IS HELPING. This company is not too far for us to drive to and physically put in a complaint. We do have a life and work so that's the next step as soon as my husband and I can get a day off. Mike is also a master plumber, and Joe a master electrician, so it's one stop shopping: They take care of everything. The work area was neatly sectioned off with plastic, so no dust got into the rest of my living space. Pro Bros broke all the stereotypes of contractors who don't communicate, don't show up, etc. The lines of communication were always open, they showed up when promised, cleaned up after themselves, and got the job done in the agreed-upon time frame. The workmanship was top notch, the cost fair and reasonable. Brothers Mike, Joe and Charlie, and their entire crew, were all professional, personable, and considerate of my time and space. I find that one sales lady and she informs me that the huge selection of candles is a thing of the past.
