Because of this, it seems like the bulk of the flavor is from the sauce not the meat- the meat itself is chewy and dry. Really disappointing for a brisket. 5/10 corn pudding: Needs salt af but texture is good, didn't really wow me, I wouldn't order again. 9/10 beans: Honestly great, the sauce is thicker rather than soupy which i prefer and it's spiced perfectly. Perhaps the other cuts of meat are better but in general, I wouldn't seek out bbq from this place; but if I'm in the mood to not mind a possible disappointment I would come back.

After I finished eating why was I in such a euphoric state to get home and write this review while…read moreI had the memories of what I just ate still on my tastebuds. I remember seeing this restaurant when it was being built and even went there with a colleague some years ago. I was in the area and knew I needed to get something that was not too heavy, so I said I decided on "Taco Bamba". The menu had changed a lot since the last time I was there, and I had the hardest time deciding. So, I ordered the "Its Chiko (Not Cheeko) Taco and The Noodler (Crispy Catfish) Taco". When I took the first bite of the catfish I was like "what in the shamrock tastes like this". Fortunately, it was the same reaction when I took the first bite of the Its Chiko. I tasted every ingredient, every sauce, every cut-up vegetable, the taste of how they cooked the catfish and shrimp, how they cooked the tortilla, the presentation, and how fresh everything was. It was all intermingled together so well to provide you the best tasting meal. Who does that; okay, many places try to imitate. However, these two have my vote today. It was funny listening (after I ordered my food) to some young male co-workers in line looking at the menu trying to decide what to get; hearing their reactions to all the titles along with the descriptions of dishes. Through the years one thing I've noticed is that for you to give a review you don't have to stuff yourself full of food to be able to articulate whether a restaurant food is good or not. It's not the quantity of food; it's the quality of the food. I'm looking forward to going back and trying some other things on the menu. The restaurant was clean, bright (not sterile), friendly staff, with a pleasant atmosphere.

If you're lucky you can get parking right up front in the circle, but if not, there is a parking garage right behind the restaurant with ample parking. One of the unique tacos here, "The Noodler," is probably one of my favorite Taco Bamba speciality tacos. It's soooo tasty. It's fun to sit at the bar during lunch time, you'll get great service there and the bartenders are friendly and open to chat. If you're in a bigger group or family oriented, the outdoor seating is great because there's a big open space if you need an option for running around and keeping an eye on the kids.

They are pretty quick and the wait is never long unless they are really busy, but still fast compared to other food trucks. The Food: I love all of the unique meatball flavors and sides that Ball or Nothing has. The BBQ meatball usually has a kick but pairs well with the mac and cheese. I also recommend the brussels sprouts which has nuts and is on the sweeter side. I have tried the classic meatball and the polenta which are also pretty solid. A lot of my friends like their salad, which has seasonal flavors. Overall, Ball or Nothing is definitely my go-to food truck and I hope they bring back a brick and mortar location!

Since I ALWAYS check to see what my fellow Yelpers recommend, I already knew what I wanted and that was 1 of each of their veggie/vegan, Classic, and BBQ chicken meatballs with sides of roasted cauliflower and mac and cheese. Out of the three meatballs, my absolute favs were the veggie/vegan and the bbq chicken. The vegan/veggie meatball was indeed a little soft texture wise; however, the taste blew my mind. The seasonings and veggies throughout made me do a double take. The BBQ chicken was again seasoned really well and the sweet BBQ sauce was a nice touch! Onto the sides -- the roasted cauliflower was the bomb.com! I never thought of myself as a cauliflower lover, but after trying this I def would get it again! Again, the cauliflower was very well seasond and roasted just right - not too crunchy and not mushy, mushy, but kinda soft how I prefer my veggies. The mac and cheese was ok, nothing stood out to me about it. In my opinion, it could've used some pepper (I didn't have any at my desk smh); however, the cheese was plentiful and gooey! I did love the thick noodles that were used vs traditional elbow noodles. All in all, I def will be on the look out for Ball or Nothing in my area and will most def will get the veggie/vegan and BBQ chicken meatballs with cauliflower. Seeing that they have other sides, I cannot wait to try those as well.

Their service is amazingly efficient and friendly in a professional and helpful manner. I also ordered their turkey chili for later that day, and once again I was completely satisfied and anticipating my next visit ( this coming week for sure !! ) This is definitely not your average daily. They have figured the cheat code out to authentic real meat sandwiches ( cut right in front of you !! )

The chicken is good! I wouldn't say it's the best Peruvian chicken in DC, but it's definitely enjoyable. If I lived next door, I could easily see myself ordering it once a week. What keeps me from loving Chicken Paradise is the inconsistency, particularly with the sides. Their mashed potatoes are probably my favorite thing on the menu. They're incredibly well-seasoned, and I genuinely look forward to them. However, the seasoning and texture seem to change with every order. Sometimes they're perfectly creamy, other times almost liquidy, and occasionally they're full of large chunks. They're usually delicious, but I never quite know what I'm going to get. The rice has been even more puzzling. In previous orders, I've always received what appeared to be plain steamed white rice. Today, I ordered the same thing and received an entirely different rice dish with what looked like pieces of meat mixed in. I couldn't identify what it was, which was particularly concerning because I don't eat pork. I really want to love this place. The food is good, and when they get it right, it's genuinely delicious. But when I order the same dishes from the same restaurant, I expect them to be relatively consistent. Chicken Paradise has the potential to be one of my regular go-to spots. I just wish I could count on getting the same dish I enjoyed the last time I ordered.

The interior was nothing spectacular, had a tiny seating area that only fits about four or five people. The service was OK. Cashier wasn't friendly or rude. Just OK. I did not want meat so I tried asking what kinds of vegetables were in the quesadillas or nachos. I inquired if they were peppers and onions or like a spinach or broccoli but the cashier just kept repeating "veggies." He also couldn't tell me if the veggie burger was a bean patty or a brand like Beyond or Impossible. I stopped probing to be polite, but adding these details to the menu would definitely help for someone like myself. 2. Cleanliness of the Establishment The overall cleanliness was OK. I wasn't grossed out by the interior. I was grossed out by the self serve sauces. They offer multiple sauces on the side which is a nice touch, but the bottles were absolutely FILTHY with dirt all around the edges. 3. The Food -The Wings & Fries: My son really enjoyed his mix of lemon pepper and hot wings, and my husband enjoyed his plain fried chicken wings. The fries were also fresh and very good. -The Hush Puppies: Because I couldn't get any clarity on my choices, I played it safe and just ordered hush puppies. They were fine, but it was unfortunate that I didn't get to eat an actual meal with my family. I know you're wondering if I'll return? Yes and no. I would stop back to pick up food for my husband and son since they loved their wings, but I won't gamble on a meal here for myself again. While it's a solid spot for a quick wing combo, until they add details to their vegetarian options they miss the mark for anyone looking for a reliable plant-based option.
