From the moment you walk in you can appreciate the chandeliers and concrete walls. I loved the decor and was happy to see that the food was even better. Everything was delicious and tasty. The dried fig salad was probably one of the best I've ever had. Hats off to the cooks and ‍ chef. Next time I'm in the area I will definitely stop by and recommend it. Cheers!

Perfect place for a group dinner if you enjoy sharing family style! POSITIVES: high ceilings & really nice ambiance, spacious with many tables for groups, small plates for sharing, decent food at decent prices (remember...decent prices for Swiss standards) NEGATIVES: some of the meat dishes were too dry and the halva dessert was not like traditional halva, it's kind of strange and doesn't taste very good. Service was mediocre, they weren't super attentive. TIP: make a reservation beforehand for dinner, they get pretty full!

It's delicious if you like super sweet salad dressings!!

Location is Great! But food was not as expected. Appetizer " from the chicken skewers a few pieces were raw in the middle" Ordered two main course on one with chicken breast a request to have instead of potatoes some spinach which was on a other main course, they acknowledged but brought me a salat" Asked for hummus with the main simply forgot it. The other main course was lamb chops, from 4 pieces 3 pieces were practically only fat. My dinner company was disappointed same as me... The salads and the food contain a lot of Oil and lots of sweetener which is totally unnecessary.

I think I found my favorite restaurant in Zurich !!! The food is almost the same as Maison blunt (same owner). Oriental food. But the interior is really cool. It has a cosmopolitan feeling. It's huge and you have space enough. you have a second open floor where you will find a bar. It looks very nice and very relaxed. The staff is really friendly and have a clue about the wine. It's normal priced for Zurich I would say. Don't forget to book in advance. A place to try out !!!!

This place is 4.5 stars, potential to be 5... It feels like this is the new hot spot in Kreis 4. Cafe Bebek is in a new building strip located at Badenerstrasse (Kalkbreite tram stop), along with other pretty cool new stores (beer store, Africa store, etc). It's a place for eating but also for drinks, and has a very relaxed yet creative posh interior design. Nice roomy building - pretty wide (like a horseshoe shape) plus a second level. Plenty of outdoor seating as well. The assortment is nicely varied, not too little but not overwhelming; and it has its special pleasantries. The drinks are simple yet delightful. Along with the alcoholic drinks, the non-alkies will love it here too. The peppermint tea is nice and plentiful - much better than Maison Blunt's peppermint tea, which has gone down in quality over time. I even suspect the owners may be related or the same to Maison Blunt. The chai masala latte is a nice interesting splash. The homemade iced teas are nice too. Food - Turkish/Lebanese style, very nice...similar to Maison... hmm... I do think this is a sister restaurant; but the much more stylish and upscale version. Feeling bohemian, go to Maison. Feeling poshie, come here. Love the chique gold chandliers...

Quite spacious but it's always packed so feels rather cozy.. Especially mixed age/types of people (couples, group, family and business suite-people) makes this place feel comfortable for everyone. Food is great. Bruch has options for A la carte or set. Cappuccino is at 4.50 CHF, extremely reasonable for Zurich where you barely find it lower than 5.50 CHF. Service is friendly, good and reasonably fast. You get plenty of bread if you order mezza set. Highly recommended any time a day or week.

Nice place, thanks to pleasant staff and interior. I have been sitting outside on a sunny working morning, enjoying the sunny weather: despite there was rush around, as it´s right next to a busy road with tram, the few bushes separating that lil garden hided me from the world around. I could have savoured their delish Bio-joghurt with nuts and honey and Veganer Hauskaffee mit Mandelmilch, Agavensirup, Sternanis, Zimt, Vanille which haven´t striked me that much :). They´ve got regular breakfast sets as well. Recommend it as a pleasant and trustworthy spot for trying out any meal of the day in the very center. I personally like their interior a lot.

This is an interesting place from the decor to the location to the choice of food. I don't quite understand the theme with the basketball decals on the wall to the gorgeous Star Wars-Death Star-like chandeliers. The upstairs feels quite fancy while the outside seating area feels a bit "grunge" like Frau Gerolds. It's easily accessible with the tram stopping right outside it and there's tons of seating on the ground floor or second floor where you can see the trains going by through the large windows. I like the middle eastern(?) menu but the food wasn't anything special. But overall the place is intriguing and worth stopping by for a drink if you're in the neighborhood or catching a movie nearby.

    afterwork beer - cheers

I like this place and escpecially the bar area upside. It has enough space and the service is fast. located at Kalkbreite and Kino Houdini, you have the tram station directly in front of Bebek. It is always crowded and you probably better reserve your place, if you like to go to eat inside. Forum Bar and Plaza Bar and Club is also nearby.

Our first stop once we landed in Zurich on our 1 week Switzerland trip. The restaurant is…read morerelatively small and when we came around 9 am on a Friday, it was pretty full so we opted to sit at the bar countertop. My brother got a bacon omelette which he was not particularly impressed with and said he could make the same quality at home. I got the hangover brekkie which consisted of a pile of potato wedges smothered in cheese, a fried egg, 2 slices of bacon, a sausage, and herb cream cheese. This.... was so incredibly heavy - I love potatoes but couldn't only eat half of it. Part of it is because the chef puts the entire plate into like the microwave/oven once everything is plated so the cheese hardens too quickly and the potato wedges were mouth burning hot the entire meal. Even 15 min in, I was burning my mouth on them. The sausage also had an unusual texture and taste to it, I guess I'm used to American sausages but it just did not fit my palette. Also cream cheese is a strange pairing with this dish, something like ranch would have been better. The only redeeming quality was the bacon was perfectly crisp. The cappuccino Dihei was just the boost of caffeine I needed but when I read orange zest as part of the ingredients, I was expecting like finely grated orange, not a thick slice of orange peel hanging off of the cup.

Beautiful large upholstered pink bench for accommodating guests to enjoy good Swiss cuisine. To the right, you will find beautiful bar area, filled with... you guessed it, more pink flowers. I ordered, "CONSEQUENT SALMON," breadbasket, butter, jam, sliced cheese and fruits, salmon and rösti. My meal tasted great and it was pleasant to sit, relax and take time to really enjoy all the flavors. I would certainly recommend this place and look forward returning. The seating is comfortable and plush (maybe microfiber?). Music is very 90s r&b. I'm not sure if it's the general vibe or just the particular day we went, but it was enjoyable for me. Service Attentive, but not overbearing. Someone offered us several available tables as we stepped in to choose from. The wait staff showed us the wifi code and their menu is offered as a qr code to view on your phone. We were given enough space and time to go over the menu and she answered any questions we had. Food I got the pink velvet macchiato, which was very rich in coffee flavor, even with the tall glass of milk. The mixed colors were still pretty. I got the Turkish breakfast, which is pretty large, so definitely arrive hungry. There was a combination of sweet and savory in this meal - a small skillet of tomatoes and egg, two different kinds of sausage (one larger, sliced and pan fried to be crispy, while the other is pink, soft, delicate and came in 3 small ones), a hard boiled egg, olives, tomatoes, cucumbers, sheep's cheese similar to feta, a side of bread, butter, and jam, tea, baklava, and a little rose gummy dessert. The combination of textures and flavors were wonderful, but the bread was a little on the crunchy side, when i would have preferred soft. The baklawa was filled with pistachios, had a lovely pastry crust, but wasn't overly sweet. The pink, gummy sweet had a hint of rose, so it wasn't overpowering and it didn't stick to your teeth afterwards, so it was a perfect ending to a meal. I didn't get to try the farmer's breakfast other than the beans, but my friend was satisfied with the meal.

This place is a conditorei (has a sit down area to enjoy pastries and sweet baked treats) and not a confiserie (take away truffles and candies). They claim to have the best hot chocolate and I would have to disagree. They do have good desserts to pair with their hot chocolate. The building its in has been around since 1824. The bakery opened in 1874 but the cafe didn't actually open until March 2019 so, the name is misleading. They have indoor seating and also patio seating in front or in the back. They have smoothies, milkshakes, matcha, cold brew options, sparkling wine options, ice cream, patisserie items, and brunch food. You have 6 options for their hot (or cold) non-alcoholic chocolate: classic, with marshmallows, with whipped cream, with chili flakes, with a shot of fresh ginger, with a shot of espresso; or 4 alcoholic hot (or cold) chocolate options: rum, amaretto, Bailey's or Grand Marnier. Passion Fruit Panna Cotta: Nice balance of bitter dark chocolate and tart Passionfruit. The panna cotta was creamy and soft. Dark chocolate holding everything together. I love Passionfruit and chocolate combo. 4.5/5 Chocolate Mousse: You can't go wrong with anything chocolate in Switzerland. This has white chocolate, milk chocolate and dark chocolate, and cocoa nibs at the bottom. Great creamy texture. Pillowy like marshmallow. 4/5 The Classic Hot Chocolate with Whipped Cream: Underwhelming. I've had better hot chocolate somewhere else in Zürich. This place calls itself a 'Cafebar' and I would be inclined to go along with that. Have a coffee, a campari, wine or an ale while sitting with friends and chatting. There's grub in the form of soups, salads, sandwiches and such to fortify the tummy. As an after-dinner drink order a coffee with schnaps! If it weren't a good idea, then the place would be called something else, I should think. What I didn't realise until I checked out their website in greater detail is that Kafischnaps also offers accomodation for the Zurich visitor.
