This is by far the most professional Kia dealership I've ever visited. My family has never had a good experience with the Kia dealerships in California, so we hoped this time would be different and we were pleasantly surprised! I was searching high and low for a Niro with all the features and color that I wanted and I was turning up nothing but blanks in my local area. This dealership had exactly what I was looking for, but the only caveat was that it's over 100 miles from home. I communicated with a sales rep, Kristen, over the course of several days until I was able to make the trip. She made sure I never had any unanswered questions and kept me up to date on what was happening with the car. They were even nice enough to honor the quote I'd received from CarMax for my trade-in, which really sold me on making this deal because they acted like my time mattered too, especially after driving 2 hours just to get there. Other dealerships I visited didn't know much about the Niro, so I pretty much taught myself as I did test drives, but Kristen is extremely educated on the Niros and it was very refreshing to finally not have someone telling me "I'm not sure." She was very clear when explaining packages through the paperwork process as well, which I really appreciated not feeling like I was ever being talked down to. It was a great experience overall. And granted, it was a long day and a long drive but the excitement of finding exactly what I wanted was way more than the dread of sitting through the paperwork and travel time! read more

They diagnose it charge me and my car still doing the same thing it's been doing so I don't know what they are charging for every time I get the car back they don't know what's wrong with it now they're saying that I didn't pay when I have the receipts for it. Zero stars if I could! Went in for a recall fix - not something anyone wants to do already. I drove my husband to pick up the car, and left - as I'm waiting turn left outside the dealership at a traffic light a car backs up in front of me and hits me! And then I notice that car looks like my husbands and has California HOV stickers - what are the chances?! Turns out our car got hit by our car. Then the saga begins - first, the employee tells me I don't need to get out to look. There's no damage. There was. So we go back to the dealership Everything is nice and kind - the dealership is going to take care of it! Great, because they hit our car with our car! Nope! In the weeks that followed they fought and became less and less accommodating. My car has a lot of custom features including stripes and they wanted to cover only the portion damaged, in colors that don't match my racing stripes or match the color based on wear All said, we paid a couple grand to repair my car because Kia or Beaverton hit my car. By the end they were treating us like we were trying to get over on them. Terrible all around - we should have done the right thing and called our insurance. All said; not to be trusted. We wanted to trade in for a new sorrento plug in hybrid and absolutely will not. Takes a ton for me to do a review like this but all said - my car got hit by my car by Kia in Beaverton and they made it seem like we were trying to put one over on them and I ended up spending a couple grand fixing my car. First tip, when you go through the doors, ask for "Wick". Picture a salesman who is both personable and honest, and actually partners with you in the process. Sounds too good to be true, right? To give a bit of background, I am very wary of salespeople. From having bad experiences at dealerships before, and even sitting in on timeshare presentations to get free goods in Vegas, it is easy to spot tactics and feel sickly when noticing that they're being used on you. And so I was ready to put up a negotiation and fight. But, there was none of that with Wick, and so I didn't have to be on guard. When stepping through the doors and meeting him to putting the final signature on paper, he seemed genuinely interested in getting to know me and wasn't pushy. He wanted us to make the right decision and didn't want us to make a decision that day if we weren't ready. I think it's because he's a family man and understands a wider point of view of the many factors to consider when making a big decision like this. Although it's a one-price dealership (no negotiating the price), they do provide dealer discounts on some models when you look online. And if you bring in a trade in, they will give you a competing price to major places like CarMax. Wick was very open and honest about these things and was even able to negotiate with his manager to beat the price of CarMax. Also the streamlined process of the dealership meant we worked with Wick through the options and financing. He walked us through all the "extras" and really informed us of what things were included in the buy up options. Without even having to tell him I was a visual learner, he drew diagrams on paper to show and explain. And when we politely declined these things, he didn't try to push, although one of his coworkers did. We were in and out of the door with keys in hand much faster than anywhere else, and we didn't have to be on guard or put up a fight. "Could've been better" is a fair assessment. Used their online scheduling service to set my appointment. When no one "called shortly" to confirm it, I checked to see if that slot was booked. It was. Took the day off of work. Got a call that evening to give me a bungled explanation of how their online service doesn't transfer data to them and that it would take 2 days to diagnose a trouble light. I had already checked it with a code reader in 5 minutes. I just needed them to do the work. Then, I was told they only do this 5 minute (2 day) process Mon- Thurs and I would need to bring it in then, instead of the Friday I booked it. The operator was eager to cancel my appointment and resistant to find a way to help Kia's customer. Used Kia Gladstone's website to schedule the appointment, which will be done in one day (including the tire pressure sensor trouble light). They're also doing the factory recall for me too, as it can cause fires. They were eager to help and happy to say "yes, we got you covered." read more

We bought a new 2023 Kia Niro two years ago. The car has 7000 miles on it. When it began flashing warning lights we took it back into Beaverton KIA. We told them that in addition to the warning lights we noticed it was taking a long time to auto shift out of low gear and was making a loud, low pitched revving noise. Not ONE part of their troubleshooting process was covered under the five year warranty. They determined sensors needed to be reprogrammed, also not covered under the warranty. The staff was rude. Once I got it on the road, I discovered that the driving assist functions had been disabled. I called and asked for a supervisor. I was told there were no managers in the entire facility. When my husband called back, they hedged on whether there actually was a manager on site and said they'd have one call back. That didn't happen. I do not recommend Beaverton Kia or their service dept and I will never buy another Kia. read more

I made an appointment to have 2 recalls done on our 2012 Kia Sorrento. I got right in at the appointment time at 10:00 am on 9/15/25. Beaverton Kia sent me an inspection report 2 hours later and had recommended us to get further repairs completed. I let Devon know I wanted to get everything they recommended done except for 2 items. At that time I told him I needed to be out by 3:30 to pick up the kids from school. He said we will aim to have it done by 3:00. At 2:45 Devon let me know that our alternator was failing. We had no issues with out alternator up to that point. Additionally, we just had it replaced in Nov of 2022, and had only put on 20,000 miles since the replacement. Needless to say, I was a bit surprised and disappointed with this turn of events. Devon insisted that the shop I used used an aftermarket part and it failed. I called the shop we used in Nov of 2022 and they had been bought out, and didn't have access to the records of our transaction. I had no way to prove that our alternator had failed and can only take Devon's word, which is a bad spot for me to be in. He did find an aftermarket part, which saved us $300.00, but we still had to pay for the part and the labor which was $1,100+. He did get me in a dealer vehicle I was able to use for the evening because Beaverton Kia didn't finish the service before the time I had asked them to be. Devon told me he would comp the vehicle as well. I asked him about the charge on the final invoice the following day, and he said he did comp it. It still showed as a line item charge on the invoice. After I had got my car back and left, he texted me saying he didn't take the dealer vehicle off of our final invoice, and he meant to comp it. At that point, I was not pleased with their overall service and did not respond to the text. I went in for 2 recalls. Ended up having them do additional work, not including the alternator. Ended up replacing the alternator which more than doubled my cost of the additional work. I am very unhappy with the events at Beaverton Kia. read more

DON'T BUY FROM THIS PLACE Bought car in May, and had to call repeatedly to get my plates--was told by the manager to just drive for a few weeks on a an expired permit. I didn't agree with this and they did give a second temp permit, which also was on the last day of expiring before I called several more times to figure out why it was taking so long to get my plates. I'm going to assume they don't deal with Washington buyers because they seemed confused by the process. Then cut to today and my car began to over heat! Turns out when I got the car, no fluids were added? So after two months, repeated calls, a struggle to get my plates and now over heating and me worriedly checking all my fluids and being nervous to drive, I'd say buy at your own risk. Awful dealership peddling trash automobiles. Had a 2016 Kia Soul, manual with the 1.6 liter gamma engine. Catalytic converter died as a result of the excessive oil consumption and elevated exhaust temps referenced in a recall. They charged me almost a thousand dollars for it. Engine started consuming oil at a rate of 1 quart every 250 miles. An issue that a class-action lawsuit was filed over. This place told me it was normal for an engine to consume that much oil. Buddy, I have a 40 year old Toyota with a quarter million miles on it. It doesn't consume that much oil. Never ever buy a Kia/Hyundai product. And never ever do business with Beaverton Kia read more

I came to Beaverton Kia to look at cars. I had a pre-approval from Capital One in hand, and told the salesman I didn't want to waste his time - that I had a preapproval that I wanted to use, it had to meet specific qualifications. He ASSURED me that it could be worked out. I have now gotten SIX loan refusals from six different credit unions (please note Capital One is not a credit union - and in fact, NO loan requests were submitted to Capital One at all). I've gotten TWO from the same credit union because instead of modifying the loan request to add a cosigner, they submitted a NEW one. I cannot wait to see how my credit score tanks after this dealership submitted me to literally everyone under the sun EXCEPT for the institution where I had a preapproval. I absolutely will not at any point in the future go to a Bob Lamphere dealership after this. I got yanked around, lied to, my time wasted, and my credit now has at LEAST six hard inquiries against it (if we have now indeed actually seen all of the refusals come through). read more

Purchased a 2024 Kia Sorento SX Prestige X Line and traded in our 2021 Sorento SX Prestige. Work in the automotive field so I kind of knew what to expect, but sales worked perfectly with us and completed the sale. However, had to take the vehicle back in to have the mirrors re-covered with the 3M covering for bubbles and scuffs underneath. And THIS is where it went sideways. Noticed the KIA badge on the back hatch dipping slightly to the left. Off by 2'. Slight, but to someone with OCD, a nightmare. Took it back in to service and approached Zack. Walked out to the vehicle with me, listening to my explanation. One of his co workers tagged along and agreed with me, "Now that you pointed it out, I cannot stop looking at it", he says. Of course, Zack has to go and get his service manager (Why? Order me another badge. Simple.) Service manager Amanda comes out to look at it, very disinterested, and says it looks fine. No, princess, I've proved it's off. Brings another vehicle in to park next to it. CLEARLY it is off in comparison to the other vehicle. Now tells me she has to go and get a General Manager. Why? Are you not empowered as service manager to order parts for a vehicle concern? Turned around and asked Eric (another service writer) to borrow his eyeballs to look at it and actually says this to me: "I'm trying to eat my lunch". This was and is completely unacceptable to say to a guest, much less a customer. Clearly, the service department here has absolutely no idea how to handle a guest and their concerns as they are now spending too much time trying to say no to the repair, than to actually re-order another badge and have it installed. **Update** General manager Sam Riley calls and accuses me of using "foul and abusive language" with his service department and insults me on the phone. We were there with cash in hand and it was a massive waste of time. We didn't haggle, were ready and willing to pay the sticker price. The team was dismissive with us, never offered to show us anything else (which, if it was comparable we would have purchased) and never followed up with us after. Terrible experience. All of this time and they can't seem to diagnose a small oil leak, likely caused by the engine rebuild I had to have because of a fatal flaw in KIA motors that causes the engine to seize before 100k miles. What an odd experience. My wife and I came in a few months back ready to pay the price listed on their site for an Niro EV. They tried to include a few add-ons, which is totally normal, but we declined and it seemed like the deal was going through. During the test drive, we had noticed that a lot of the cars on the lot had a gaudy chrome "Bob Lanphere" badge on the back. The one we were planning on buying didn't have it, so we made it clear that we did not want this badge applied. They said it was non-negotiable. We thought they were just playing dealership games so we politely thanked them for their time, shook hands, and walked out, honestly expecting them to say "oh ok fine." That was the last we ever heard from them! That's right, we were willing to pay list price, not even trying to haggle it down further, and they turned it down because we weren't willing to advertise for them. Shame too because we *always* leave glowing manufacturer reviews, even for middling experiences, for deals that go through. Instead, we got in our car and drove across the border to a dealership in Washington. Told them the story and everyone there had a good laugh. I was just wondering the area with my partner while waiting on some vehicle maintenance down the road when we decided "why not just take a look at an EV6" as we were walking past the dealership. Naturally we were noticed fairly quickly by an enthusiastic and friendly salesperson. We were very transparent with our intentions that we just wanted to look at an EV6 up close, and we had absolutely no intentions of buying anything today. I just wanted to see one up close and possible sit inside. The salesperson brings us inside letting us know how this dealership does things differently, and proceeds to ask dozens of questions about what we're looking for, our lifestyle, and the like. We were even interrupted mid-sentence by the sales manager during this game of 50 questions while the salesperson "helped us to pick the perfect vehicle." About 30 minutes later as we're about to start playing the Excel numbers game, I finally had to put my foot down and say we just want to look at one up close and in person, and repeat that we had no intention of buying today. He said ok and to wait there for "3 minutes" while they bring a base model around. 10 minutes later of being left there alone we just left never having see the vehicle we wanted to look at. This is just like any other high-pressure car dealership where you are nothing more than a checkbook, and the goal is get you in something, anything, and out the door so they can push through the next number. And the pressure to sell on the sales staff is clearly so intense that customer service suffers. The salesperson was so stuck on playing through the script, that we didn't feel like we were being listened to. We just wanted to look at one. After being on site for 40 minutes, we still don't know what one looks like up close. Why was it important to play the 50 questions game for 30 minutes for a looky-lou? Why do have to be shown the "perfect one for us" when we don't even know if I fit in one. We purchased a car from this dealership a few weeks ago. First they tried to push extended warranty on us but we wanted to stay within our budget. The next day tried a key bob that did not work. Took it back to dealer the following Monday. Was sent to parts dept. they sent me to service dept. The young gentlemen who helped me was great. Told me I would need to take to Honda and have new key made.Key was not working. I went home and called to speak with manager at Beaverton Kia. I was told the key worked when we purchased car. So I was more or less being called a liar. And he went on to push it back at me because we did not get extended warranty we were out of luck. I was not treated very well after paying cash for car. lt was not a very good experience and will not recommend Beaverton Kia to anyone who wants to purchase a used car. So their "71 point inspection" is actually "enter in the milage, make, and model and assume that's what the car needs." Two of the items on their list of their $1725.45 of suggested maintenance were immediately discredited due to my own attentiveness. The battery is less than 1.5 years old. The alternator and belt are also less than a year old, yet they said my battery was bad and needed a replacement. I also just got my transmission fluid flushed and replaced at another shop less than a year ago. That was also highlighted as their suggestion. While they DID say they tested my battery, I sincerely doubt it. I went to Autozone where I got the battery. They have a 2 year warranty on their batteries and I figured "ok if the battery tests bad I'll just have them replace it for free." This was 20 minutes after I picked up my car today 2/7/24. In the picture you can plainly see that my battery was fine. $170 for a new battery I didn't even need. Glad I went for the second opinion at AutoZone I knew dealerships were a little shady but oh my god you guys did not do even a little bit of a good job reporting on these "inspections". Don't call it an inspection if all you're gonna do is copy and paste what the manufacturer says to do. I'm grateful you guys did the manufacturer extended warranty maintenance for no charge but you all sent me into a full on panic seeing all that needed to be done like it was do or die. All I can say is, stay away! I went to test drive a 2025 Sorento Hybrid and took a copy of the Kelly Blue Book trade-in value of my trade with me (1 1/2 year old plug-in hybrid SUV with just under 6,000 miles, all the bells and whistles, and no damage.) During the test drive, the salesperson started in on how insufficient the factory warranty is, which surprised me because I know that Kia currently has one of best factory warranties in the business. I sensed that an extended warranty sales pitch was coming, and I was right. Back at the dealership, the salesperson excused herself to go get "the numbers." Imagine how negatively astonished I was when not only was my trade valued by them to be $8,000 below KBB, but roughly $7,200 was added to the price! - about $5,000 for the extended warranty and about $2,200 for paint protection! In addition, I was told that they provide no discounts for cash (they encourage you to finance.) So, what should have been my trade plus about $12,500 cash, was now my trade plus $33,000! I made it very clear that this wasn't acceptable. The salesperson asked what I was thinking my trade was worth, so I replied, "Funny you should ask," and presented the KBB printout. She seemed briefly stumped and then asked if I'd still buy any of the add-ons if the trade value went up (What?). I replied that I'd perhaps be interested in the paint protection, though I felt it was overpriced. She excused herself and walked to an office. A minute or so later, as if it was right out of the stereotypical car dealer playbook, tag teaming took place, a practice which I have always disliked. A man sat down with a (supposed) list of every vehicle like mine on every dealer lot up to 2,100 miles away, from what I could see, and how long they'd been there. He explained that it is those figures that they base their appraisals on, not KBB. He went on to say that he might be able to come up a little bit on the trade, but that he'd wind up putting it on his lot for $32,000. KBB said that private party (not trade-in) value peaks at just under $40,000. Sounds like cutting one's nose off to spite their face. I was asked just what was it that I was expecting, to which I said I expected the value of my trade as estimated by an industry standard to be at least reasonably honored, that I would pay cash for the remaining balance, and that I did not drive all the way there to be upsold (buy products and service that I don't want.) To prevent a potential financing pitch, I said that I had no interest in financing. The only debts I have are mortgages and it is going to stay that way. I asked for my key back, thanked them for their time, and walked out without another word from either of them. It's clear to me that Beaverton Kia may be in the business of selling vehicles, but they REALLY want to sell extended warranties and other add-ons. It makes me wonder how many unsuspecting customers have fallen for this over the years. read more

Was looking to buy a brand new Sportage. I will be the sole vehicle owner but brought my husband to also test drive since he will use the vehicle. When we arrive we had to wait 15-20 minutes for a sales person. We should have left then, but waited. When the sales person arrived, he immediately introduced himself to my husband first. Even when I was the only one talking, he only asked for my husband's information and barely acted like I existed. When I mentioned I would make an offer, and told him my price, he said he'd relay it to his manager and have them contact my husband the next day. In what 1950s world is the dealership living in? Not only did they return the quote back for more than they said they would, they in turn tried to sell us a different car with more stuff on it than the first one. Their prices are higher than other Kia dealerships (Ron Tonkin and Dick Hannah), but in reading other reviews I'm not the first women who has been treated in an antiquated misogynistic manner. read more

Super unprofessional dealership don't even waste your time here. My finance called wanting an estimate on his truck, and spoke to a representative named T. He was then informed to come in to get that estimate, but when he arrived they said it was a "misunderstanding" and that this T person doesn't do estimates. Okay so get someone else to do it. Absolute trash. This dealership is garbage. I dropped my wife's car off the same day I bought a car at the dealership. I thought we were in good hands. Eric the service advisor is an absolute liar. I had 3 concerns about my wife's vehicle. After leaving the vehicle at the dealership for 10 days all they did was a "software update" I've spent upwards of 42k at this dealership and they treat you like absolute trash. My wife's telluride still smells like coolant and the driver side high beams don't work after Eric swore up and down that all the issues were resolved. I think jiffy lube would do a better job then this disgusting joint. Thanks Eric for telling our car was ready to go when we have A 13 MONTH OLD KID IN THE CAR WHILE ITS OVER HEATING. read more

As a man about to turn 40 I honestly always thought the idea of when women go to a mechanic and get treated different, was just a thing of the past. Not at this dealership. My wife called ahead of time to get service scheduled, and warranty work. We have a 2 year old and a 2 month now, so scheduling is a big deal. She was told that we needed to wait till parts came in. No issues with waiting for parts, everything is sounding normal. Fast forward to day of appointment, my wife brings the car in to this dealership, while I wait in my truck in the parking lot. Immediately she gets told that the oil change price is wrong on the quote, the advisor crossed it out, and told her that the new price would be $90's. Thats the first weird thing, second is that now the parts aren't going to be ready, and it's going to take way longer, plus they now want her to pay $100 for a diagnoses. When we made the appointment we talked with the person about the work and was told we didn't need to pay a diagnose fee. Again now she is being told she owes more money. My wife immediately comes out to me to discuss what's going on. Now it's my turn to go in and figure out what's wrong. I immediately get told that they didn't do anything wrong, and when I bring up it seems sexist that when my wife comes in here and talks to a guy, the price changes. It's at this time I'm told that my frustrated tone is yelling at them, and they aren't going to do business with me. I ask for the second time at this point to talk to a manager. Finally after I find out they can listen to the exact conversation my wife had with the original person at their dealership, and wether or not we were quoted a certain price that they would honor that price. The general Manager also reassured they aren't sexist or racist, which no one brought up race so not sure what the point of that was. If you're not sexist, why didn't you tell my wife you would listen to the call and if she was quoted that, which also was on the quote sheet, you would offer her the price she was told. Instead a man has to come in and raise his voice before customer service even began to happen. Why is this dealership treating women differently. I believe it starts at the top with the GM. read more
