I wax my underarms but I wanted my legs done properly. The salon is clean and well organized, I can say that at least. My esthetician is a very fun person but her wax knowledge is lacking. The wax was too hot and gave me a heat rash each time. While she did use a clean stick each time, she didn't apply any tension and pulled slowly. My leg hairs are not removed, they are all broken. So I am left to deal with a multitude of ingrown hairs and stubble! I'm really upset and I HATE leaving bad reviews but this was too much to let slide. Never again.

They are new to the area, so they were very receptive to feedback when I encountered some issues on my first visit, and I haven't had a problem since. Coming from Seattle, the mask policy, or lack of it here, was a bit confusing, but local regulations are very different in AL and businesses can only do so much. So be aware that masks are not required at this location, but you are free to wear one if you prefer it. Plus at least some of the technicians do wear one.

I came here one week before Christmas 2018, it was my 4-5th time coming here (only for cuts) but…read morewas also my last because of experienced un-professionalism. I started doing my hair color (balayage) myself after having previous bad experience in Birmingham and Jules helped me remind myself again why I should stick with doing my own hair. I went to see the owner Jule that day I arrived right on time for my appointment 1:45pm but she didn't start on me until 2:15 pm. I bleached my hair prior but was out of toner at home, so I asked her if she could apply a glaze to get rid of the brassiness around the mid section where I applied the bleach (the ends of my Hair didn't really need the toner since they were already a 10/11 from previous balayage). In the mean time her next client arrived at 2:20pm. So she applied the violet toner to my whole hair and left me sitting at the bowl while attending to the next client.. 30 min. The thing that bothered me was; She didn't even come check on me. After about 15 min I noticed (thank god i had my phone on me) that some parts of my hair turned purple -especially those end parts that were already at its lightest from previous bleaches. So I'm trying to get her attention, but I didn't work. So when she finally saw me at the bowl she was a little shocked too but tried to play it off. She kept telling me it will come out in a few days after a few washes. I told her I don't want to go home like this, and asked her if she can put on a second toner (a natural/ with a little gold in it) to counteract the violet which she then did. She only charged me for one toner which was nice I guess. She has a lot of older, white and local clientele and really doesnt seems interested in new clientele. AGAIN this experience was a good reason why I started coloring and toning my own hair.

She didn't even acknowledge that she cut my finger nor put anything on it. I ended up getting a nasty infection and had to go to Urgent care. Just what I want is to go back and get another infection. After going back and forth they agreed to give me my money back for the services of the nails. The owner clearly did not care that this happened to me.

The gentleman that did my mani basically did not speak or look at me (and at times twisted my thumb in kind of an uncomfortable way) but other than that he did a good job with the nails. A different tech completed my pedicure - her name is Jody, and she was very friendly and did a good job. I chose the exfoliative option - which in retrospect was a mistake - if you have ticklish feet I would avoid that, but Jody did a good job and made sure that I was comfortable. All in all it was pricey - for gel mani and gel pedi about 104$ plus tip - but frankly when it is done nicely that's a price worth paying. Anyways, happy to have found this spot!

The person on the phone told me she did the designs but would be out of the shop. She asked me to show the other tech my style when I arrived to see if she could do it. When I arrived, everyone was friendly and the shop was clean. Each tech's credentials were listed and their health score was 100. There was one other customer and I was seated immediately. There was no water in the bowl and I really didn't have a chance to soak my feet which was strange since no one was waiting to be seen but that was fine. Gel has a $10 up charge but it was noted on the menu which I appreciate. I showed the other tech my photo and she confirmed that she would be unable to do that design. I guess I didn't make it clear that I still wanted my hands done so I told her that as my pedicure was ending. I move to the table and she cuts all of my nails off. Then, the other customer and I are told to switch places. The gentleman begins working on my nails. He adds the tips, rounds them per the new photo and then begins to add the dip powder. He finishes four of my five nails and then points to his hand and apologizes. One nail was a bit mishapen so I thought he was maybe apologizing for that. He continues to apologize and starts taking the powder off. I asked, "Do you not like any?" and he responds, "No." I assured him that it was okay and everyone has days. I wasn't upset or anything but I also was thinking maybe he's starting over. Then, not only does he take off the powder, he takes off the tips. All the while, the other tech has finished the other customer but isn't jumping in to assist-just checks me out. And yes, I still tipped. So, now I'm left with no nails and no explanation. Oh, and when I got home and looked at my pedicure it was spotty, the gel isn't even across my toes-no pic because I don't like my feet. It was strange and really just disappointing. I don't think I'll be back.

The second picture is how my lashes ended up after two weeks of having them. When she did my lash extensions, I told her I wanted a natural look, so I didn't have to wear mascara, well after she got done, I looked like I had on Miss Piggy lashes, which I did not want, I left and ended up going back that day. While she was "fixing " my lashes she was on the phone the whole time and not paying attention to what she was doing, I had lash glue on my lashes. They didn't look any better then when I came in earlier at all, I was pissed when I got home , after two weeks, they just started falling out along with my real lashes. So now on my left die, I have no lashes they are gone. I have requested a partial refund, I have yet to hear back from her, she said to come back in, and she'll give me a natural set like the picture no, those are my lashes with mascara. My intent was not to have to wear mascara at all. That's why I wanted to get some, so they look natural not like Miss Piggy's lashes . I look on the website they don't even offer lash extensions so, why are you doing lash extensions? If you don't offer them? On the other hand, my sugaring session, Brazillian Wax whatever you wanna call it that was good and it was not done by her I wish I could remember the girls name, but she is very good. But these lashes have ruined my own lashes, and I want my money back. and I'm not gonna stop until I get my money back, maybe if she hadn't been in the phone the entire time when I went back that same day because I didn't like them, she would've known I was a VERY UNSATISFIED CLIENT! $100 for THIS!
