The space was bright, light and clean - and I was immediately intrigued by the product wall featuring a range of beauty items for your face, body and skin (way beyond just waxing-related items). I'll def plan for extra time to look around more and buy a few things the next time I visit! I had an appt with Kyna for an eye brow waxing - which it had been too long since my last. She was so sweet and informative, made sure I was comfy then got down to business. I was out of there in no time (which is always my top priority) and my brows looked great. I'm usually very sensitive to waxing and no issues in the days after - yay! I'm going back again this week and will continue to visit them for my other waxing services. Love this place!

I've done falsies for special occasions, but they're self applied and a huge pain in the ass... Plus I'm probably applying it all wrong. Then comes Amy and the wonders of the lash lift! Amy is so knowledgeable and easy to work with. She taught me all about my lashes, how I can maintain them, and most of all... How beautiful they look with a lash lift! I finally have beautiful curled lashes without the need for me to smother them with a curler which only lasts temporary for me. They look long, beautiful, and lush. Most importantly - my eyes look more well rested and "lifted." I highly recommend Amy and I'm a believer in lash lifts for as long as I have lashes! Thank you so much Amy! When trying to make an appointment for myself, I called 3x within a 30 minute span and had no answer. Months back when I called for more info about gift cards for my mom, they also didn't pick up. Nonetheless, both times they called back a little while later and left a voicemail, so I appreciated the reach out! They answered both times when I called them back afterwards and everything was set. Booking via phone was super easy, and they also have an online booking system as well. The spa is super clean, cute, and modern. Halina is who took care of me the entire time and I absolutely adored her! So down-to-earth, friendly, and absolutely great at her job. I got a 90-minute signature facial ($120) and it was worth every penny. I didn't even know this came with it but she also massaged my arms, shoulders, and feet! I felt so relaxed and my skin was flawlessly hydrated after. I loved every part of the facial, even the extraction (she made it as painless as possible). I will definitely be coming here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a facial, massage, wax, laser, etc. (they have tons of services!) Thank you Halina and Papillon staff for a great first facial experience!

The employee took about 2.5 hours for the entire procedure. She was also taking walk ins for eye brow threading. I had the setting solution on for literally an hour while she was working on other people. My lashes are not even lifted that much, mine typically go straight down but now they are just straight out and curled on the ends. Also, once she finished she did not give me any instructions for afterwards, no spoolie, nothing. I was very disappointed in the service. I would recommend spending the extra money to go somewhere else.

And that's all I really wanted as I have some brows, y'all. Lots of eyebrow. Thus, the reasoning for an expert threader. Some things to know before you go... 1) Purvi basically rents space (a chair) in Don Stella Salon. She also only works Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Thus - call ahead for an appointment! 2) Cash or check only. You'll pay Purvi directly, not the salon itself. 3) To maintain the lovely shape that she creates, you'll want to book appointments every 3-4 weeks. Yay for beautiful brows!

However, she gets her eyes brows done in the city & living in the NW suburbs I didn't want to take a train just for my eyebrows. I went on yelp & searched eyebrow threading. After seeing all the positive reviews for Purvi I decided to give it a try! I made my appointment & found it was very easy to get to. I personally parked at the bank, but parking behind the salon would work just as easily. She greeted me with a huge smile & I should also add the women/men who work at the salon she rents her chair at are EXTREMELY friendly. She asked me how I wanted my eyebrows done & made some suggestions. I would recommend maybe bringing a photo reference & if you're like me never having got your eyebrows threaded i would recommend growing them out a bit so that there's a lot more to work with to shape them how you'd like. She did my eyebrows in probably 10 minutes. She made conversation with me to ease the pain a bit & I loved how interested/attentive she was to not only my interests, but how I was doing in terms of pain with the threading. The pain was a little worse then typical according to Purvi since I did grow my brows out but as someone who usually get my eyebrows waxed the pain was nothing in comparison. She shaped them & trimmed them to literal perfection. I've never seen my eyebrows look so good. Which is why I had to write a rave review. The swelling was down in probably 30 minutes & I got so many compliments when I went out later that night. All in all for the price ($12+ a nice tip!) she goes above & beyond. Great personality, talent, & price :)
