I met the owner (Puspa Khanal) and her associate (Bhawana Metformin) sitting and talking. I saw the owner getting some henna body art done. Seeing that the henna body art going on Puspa hands arms and feet, I had nothing but time on my hands. This is the first Indian spa I have ever been to, but it had a nice feel to the place. After some time Puspa showed me the waxing room. The waxing chair has had a lot of use, but was the most relaxing chair/tables I have ever been on. I was asked if I wanted to get my legs waxed too. After thinking about for a few seconds, I went with their offer. For five dallors more I was given the option of getting my armpits waxed too. Normally I shave them, but not today. Both Puspa and Bhawana left the room and I took my clothes off to hang them up. I did not have a towel to cover my manhood, but these ladies see naked people every day, well maybe not a handsome stud like myself, but close. I believe Bhawana was the first to open the door and close it. I heard her cackling like a schoolgirl. The song I'm Too Sexy started playing in my head....no,...not really... I started looking around for something to cover my genitals, when Puspa brought in a hand towel. Guess Bhawana is not use to male nudity. I was asked why I was naked and I thought that was a dumb question, but oh well. I explained I am getting my full legs waxed; as well, as my full arms and armpits. I am not going to get wax on my new clothes. The waxing procedure went by quickly since both Puspa and Bhawana were waxing me at the same time. Very rarely have I been waxed by two people and have found it to be less effective than one person doing it. The whole process I felt was rushed and if I come back for another round, I will request just one lady. Both Puspa and Bhawana did a decent job, but too much leftover wax was found on my body. Again I feel one person doing the waxing would have been better. I spent a good amount of time scratching the wax off of me. The waxing clean up are just as import as the removal of the hair. I have seen small patches of hair that was missed. Mishaps happen and I am sure Madame Puspa can redeem herself. I give this place 4 out of 5 stars. I drove an hour and twenty minutes to get there. She gave me a $2400 same package for full body laser removal, with at least 6 sessions that my friend received. Then I offered her $2000 and reminded her of my friend's name who referred us, but she wasn't loyal to the prize we referenced. Even though we offered her $1k upfront and $1k later, she refused. She wanted $2400 this time, but later agreed to pay $2200 and per session using a credit card. Although today's appointment is the first sitting appointment, there were unexpected things that occurred. I called her to reschedule and she said tomorrow's is fine. However, she mentioned that the face is not covered in the full body, so it will be separate. I reminded her about our deal and she said I forgot to mention it last time. She started arguing and demanded cash payments of $2200, which reminded me that it wasn't what we talked about and the deal. Be aware of these kinds of owners. Since laser hair removal is a common procedure, it's possible that they can cause more harm to your body than good. Luckily, she refused and showed her greediness. Otherwise, I would have been messed up or sick by her unprofessional behavior.

It is located in an office building compound in Reston. There are two treatment rooms and a waiting area + checkout counter. Bathroom is outside the door but is maintained well and clean whenever I am there. They also have some skincare products for sale. The owner Venera is always patient to answer all my questions and concerns I have. Their extractions are top notch and I always leave the clinic with clean pores and glowy skin. I religiously take care of my skin at home so this is a monthly treat. I normally ask for microdermabrasion along with hydrafacial. Price is reasonable if you buy package deal. The only thing I wish they do differently is to cleanse the face with makeup remover gel/lotion of some sort before going straight for hydrafacial device. It seems a lot of people go there for laser hair removal too. I plan to try that one day.

I did not know Kaui Billue when several months ago I booked a 60 minute traditional massage (called…read morea "Thai Euro massage" on Origins Thai Spa's website) with her. I loved the experience so much that I immediately booked the longest session available (90 minutes). I have had two long massages with Kaui, and both have been truly sublime. So much so that I have two future sessions booked now! I will mention a few things about Kaui the person, Kaui the massage therapist, and about the spa. Kaui is an extremely likeable, friendly, and intelligent person who communicates well. An example of how kind and thoughtful Kaui is: after my last massage with her was over, she gave me a box of macadamia nuts covered in chocolate (macadamia nuts are not cheap!) she got on her recent trip to her home state of Hawaii. Kaui really goes the extra mile to please! Kaui's very wonderful qualities as a person would be admirable but they would largely be irrelevant when you want a great massage if Kaui did not deliver on the massage table. I have had massages from multiple people. They all did a fine job. But after my 90 minute massage sessions with Kaui I never felt more relaxed in my life!! Kaui moves over your body at just the right "Goldilocks" speed--not too fast, not to slow--just perfect. Kaui made massage movements I had not experienced before that made me melt into the massage table in sublime relaxed pleasure. Every minute of my massages with Kaui has felt wonderful! When Kaui is working her massage magic on your body she is wise enough to stay silent (except for a very occasional "pressure level OK?" check-in early in the message) so that talk does not distract you from the blissful relaxation you are experiencing under her hands. But if you initiate a conversation Kaui is more than happy to talk. Kaui is wise enough to let you control how long the conversation lasts. A car analogy fits. For me, getting a massage from others has been like driving a Honda Accord--a good experience but nothing really shines. In contrast, getting a massage from Kaui is like the "ultimate driving experience" when driving a top of line BMW. Kaui has provided me with the "ultimate massage experience" (nothing sexual implied; Origins Thai Spa is a totally legitimate place). Origins Thai Spa is exceptional as well. It is in a quiet location in Sterling (not a strip mall or other busy place). The spa is quiet and soothing from the moment step inside. All the receptionists are very friendly. It is very easy to make appointments online. You can have a warm massage table if you want it. After the massage is over, Kaui wipes you down with a warm towel to remove massage oil from your body. Plus a very welcome warm towel for your face at the end that caps off this most relaxing and rejuvenating experience. Do not meet with anyone not a Doctor as unlike other practices a PA apparent has little authority. I have 1 visit a year where my blood tests are reviewed and after a quick examination prescriptions are issued. Appointments are made a year ahead I generally send ahead my blood work and I did this time calling twice to ensure they had received tests . Twice this was confirmed. It was 3 months ago and so have been accepted before with that timeframe. While on travel in Europe I received a text my Doctor would be unavailable and I should call to make another appointment. No attempt to provide another Doctor. On my return I was given an appointment with a PA and assuming as with Inova, Va Orthotics and many other practices the PA had the ability to perform similar functions. I came on time and waited 40 minutes before I asked why the delay and told I was the next patient. No attempt by the front desk to keep me informed or by staff. After taking inside where I explained to the script my visit and need, I waited another 15 minutes before the PA showed up. By now I had missed another appointment. I explained why I was there and of course they could not find my test. I of course had brought another copy just for this purpose. I requested written prescriptions as costs are different and I planned to take one each to 2 pharmacies. I was told to wait while the PA called a Doctor for permission. A first for me. After another 12 minute wait the prescriptions. The next day I requested as I always do a copy of my report which either was sent by e mail or via website. I was told I had to drive in to get my copy. Another waste of my time. Again unusual that this appointment was unlike any others . When scheduling next year I made sure it was with a Doctor. In the end, they told me they wouldn't be able to see me, even though my appointment was at 3:30 PM and their last appointment online was listed as 3:45 PM. The receptionist did her best to find someone to take me, but no one was willing. Since I live nearby, I gave them the benefit of the doubt. I rescheduled and even called the next morning to confirm. I was assured everything was set, but two hours before my 6:00 PM appointment, they called to say the esthetician hadn't shown up for work and no one else would see me. They had all day to let me know. When I explained what had happened the day before, the receptionist said, "That's weird, nobody told me anything," despite the previous receptionist apologizing repeatedly and making notes to ensure I was taken care of. Two canceled appointments in a row, despite confirmations and assurances, show a complete lack of organization and respect for customers' time. There's much better places nearby to go.

Then, I arrived for my first appointment, and they had no record of ever selling me the appointments in advance via the Wax Passes. I showed them the charge of $228 on my credit card statement to verify the purchase. While they had a record for my $33 bikini line wax and my purchase and $50 purchase of exfoliating products, they had no record of the remaining $145. The manager refused to refund me,and told me to dispute the charge with my credit card company. I got my bikini wax and filed my dispute claim. When I disputed the charge, European Wax Center told the investigators that the company had already provided my 6 brow and 6 lip sessions. These appointments never happened. I did not return after I learned that European Wax Center would not honor my wax passes or refund me. I am currently still in discussions with my credit card company to get the money back. The fact that this location would not honor the appointments I booked, despite showing them the charge on my statement, is unethical, unprofessional, and I will never return to European Wax Center. I will also encourage my contacts to never book with European Wax Center. It's a shame because my actual waxer was very competent; I would return to her if she worked with a different company.
