I actually still remember my first appointment with Heather because I was telling her how nervous I was day of but she made me feel comfortable and guided me throughout the whole waxing process. She even tells you when to take deep breaths for parts that may hurt more than others (I know this doesn't sound like a big deal, but it is!)! I actually stopped going to Heather for a year or so because it was difficult to set up appointments with her since I worked in DC. However, now that my schedule is a little more flexible, I switched back to getting waxes by Heather. I'm really glad that I did because she's super sweet and deserves the business. I recently came in to get my arms, legs, and a Brazilian wax done and time flew by so fast because of our conversation. I didn't feel uncomfortable at any point during the waxing session (all of this came out to $170). Prices are extremely reasonable in my opinion. I used to go to one of the waxing chains in Ashburn, and I can definitely tell you that service + price at Voda Spa is way more deserving of my business. Heather also does facials :) I really hope to get a facial done by her sometime soon too. They sounded awesome when I asked her about them, and the fact they all include extractions to get all that gunky stuff out of your skin sounds appealing. In summary, reasonable prices, cozy environment, and excellent customer service. P.S. Weekends can be super hard to book with Heather, so if you need weekend appointments, book them at least 3 weeks in advance. Also, the door to enter Voda Spa is on the side of the building. There's a door outside that says "Voda Spa." Heather includes those directions when you get your appointment confirmation, but including this tip anyways in case someone forgets to read that portion :)

The woman at the front desk asked us questions (I was with a friend who was also new to spray tans) and we told her we were new and needed lots of guidance. Anytime she would ask a question and we didn't know what she meant she would awkwardly laugh at us. Maybe it is super rare to get first time tanners. She was very helpful when it came time to using the machine, but oh my goodness. The machine kept repeating that it was heated but it was so incredibly cold and miserable! And once we got out of the machines our faces were a disaster! It was super splotchy on both of us. I went home and washed my face right away. I don't think I ever need to get a spray tanning again, at least not from here.

Lights off. No staff. Nothing. Their sign said Sunday "By Appointment Only," yet apparently even when you have an appointment, no one shows up. I called their Bethesda location, and the first receptionist claimed we weren't in the system--even though I booked on Wednesday at 2:22 PM (I checked my call log and took a screenshot). Someone took all of my details including my credit card, but somehow my appointment "didn't exist." Then the owner got on the phone and said she actually could see me in their system but didn't know what happened. She blamed a software switch on Tuesday... but I booked on Wednesday. So that excuse made no sense. Her only solution was to ask if we could come tomorrow. No, we actually can't--because unlike her business, we plan ahead. I took the weekend off from my real estate schedule to celebrate. We booked a hotel in Tysons, hired a dog sitter, and made a whole day of this. And it was completely wasted. What really stunned me was the total lack of care. No apology that felt meaningful. No attempt to make it right. No offer of a complimentary service. Nothing. I'm a business owner myself, and I would never handle a mistake like this this way. Our anniversary plans were basically ruined because this spa didn't bother to honor our confirmed appointment--or provide any real remedy afterward. Don't waste your time or money here. If they can't handle a simple booking, I wouldn't trust them with anything else either.

They even mentioned which type of razor to use, etc. The staff were also amazing and friendly. I also was impressed that had disposable bras, thongs, pasties all sorts of options to make you feel comfortable. My artist knew how to match my expectations and skin tone to the right color/shade of tan that they offer perfectly!
