I went to the wax bar straight afterwards because I wanted to cry at my nails. They gave me an appointment for the sat morning although I think they got me in after I showed them my nails. They were a joke. I felt sorry for them also as it's not nice having to put some one else's work right. They had no problems with this and just wanted to put them right for me. Sat morning and the service, the treatment was first class here in the wax bar. The girls were lovely and I think they were all pleased including me with the end result. They are now beautiful for a exciting and beautiful day on Monday. I could not be more thrilled with my nails. And this time I have shellac on my nails instead of nail Polish and a clear top coat that just came off with nail Polish. I am so so pleased I choose the wax bar and have to say they have gained a happy customer and I most certainly will go back. I also happened to pick up a price list of all the procedures they do so will definitely be taking some of these treatments up also. Needless to say I am walking on air now with my nails. Recently I treated myself to a massage after suffering a tension headache for a few days, and was a little sceptical about how good it was going to be before I went along, as the charge was only £22 for 30 minutes. (Cheap compared to well known salons in the city centre where 30 minutes would be around £40-50). Stupidly I thought that the more money you spend, the better the treatment. How wrong I was! The room the treatment was in was beautifully decorated and smelt divine, with lovely relaxing music being piped through. The massage table was comfortable with a thick, snuggly duvet covering it, which had been pre-warmed somehow before I got into it. Before the massage even started I was already feeling less tense! Then the massage itself melted the knots in my shoulders and neck away leaving me so relaxed. I will definitely be going back in a couple of weeks for a repeat treatment, even if my back is fine, as the half hour of absolute relaxation and time on my own away from the darling kiddies was so reviving. (Wow, that's the name of the salon! A perfect description in my opinion!) And to know that the cost of such relaxation is half of the price you'd pay in a main stream salon makes it even better. For all new customers Revive does 20% off your first treatment, so there's an incentive to try it out. And there is also a loyalty card scheme for massage/facial treatments. I hope to fill mine up to get a free treatment down the line at some point!

The tan cost me £25 which I think is the standard price, and I did come out with an even looking tan. I'm not going to lie, it was pretty damn obvious I was caked in fake tan but when does fake tan look 100% natural? The girl who sprayed me was nice enough, and put me at ease as I stood in a tiny bra and thong. The salon isn't huge and is always quite quiet, which I think is a good thing as generally you want to relax while being pampered. The girls were all very nice and they offer a wide range of treatments at a reasonable price. I guess I will be back this summer to do it all again!

I booked lash extensions and a luxury manicure online, received the confirmation. Lashes were first. Billie took her time carefully placing them. It was my first time having them and I was expecting a long appointment of about two hours, which it was. The lashes looked clumpy and synthetic, with more along the inner corner than outer which made my eyes look wonky. She asked if it was ok and I said yes. At that point it was already the afternoon and I didn't want to spend several more hours trying to make it right when I was expecting a better service the first round. The manicure came next. The lighting in the nail area is so poor to be honest I wonder if she could really even see what she was doing. She launched right into filing. Roughly. I asked for rounded edges and my nails were filed down almost completely straight across and looked incredibly stubby. Then she took even more length off when I requested she please round them off some more. I was expecting cuticle care first and a hand massage at some point, and the tools for it were out. I asked if I was getting cuticle care when she began to put the gel polish on and she said yes. Ok. Polish came out lumpy and streaky and there were bubbles that I asked to be fixed as well. The application was not good and the polish was cured for a very short time. After the polish was done she dabbed a little cuticle oil and said we were done. I mentioned the email I got confirming the "luxury manicure" option I was confirmed for and she said because the lashes took so long there wasn't time for it. We went around in circles for a few minutes with me saying of that was the case, something would've been mentioned earlier, since this was not the service I booked. When she looked at me blankly and said I did receive a service, I explained it's akin to booking a full leg wax and only getting your thighs waxed. She refused to even acknowledge there was an error on part of the booking system, even after I repeatedly showed her the confirmation email I got. I walked out feeling like I completely wasted £100 and an afternoon. I followed directions for my lashes, hoping I'd get used to them. Within 2 days nearly all of them shed, despite being careful about no water or oil touching my face. I avoided sleeping on my face. They looked so terrible and patchy 48 hours later I used oil to remove the remaining ones. I don't even want to post a photo because it's too embarrassing. The gel polish mostly peeled off 3 days later. If you care to look throught my other reviews for personal care services it's pretty clear I give the benefit of the doubt nearly always. But the combination of unpleasantness was too much here. I don't know how their waxing is, but don't waste your time or money coming to get your lashes or nails done here.
