I went to the wax bar straight afterwards because I wanted to cry at my nails. They gave me an appointment for the sat morning although I think they got me in after I showed them my nails. They were a joke. I felt sorry for them also as it's not nice having to put some one else's work right. They had no problems with this and just wanted to put them right for me. Sat morning and the service, the treatment was first class here in the wax bar. The girls were lovely and I think they were all pleased including me with the end result. They are now beautiful for a exciting and beautiful day on Monday. I could not be more thrilled with my nails. And this time I have shellac on my nails instead of nail Polish and a clear top coat that just came off with nail Polish. I am so so pleased I choose the wax bar and have to say they have gained a happy customer and I most certainly will go back. I also happened to pick up a price list of all the procedures they do so will definitely be taking some of these treatments up also. Needless to say I am walking on air now with my nails. Recently I treated myself to a massage after suffering a tension headache for a few days, and was a little sceptical about how good it was going to be before I went along, as the charge was only £22 for 30 minutes. (Cheap compared to well known salons in the city centre where 30 minutes would be around £40-50). Stupidly I thought that the more money you spend, the better the treatment. How wrong I was! The room the treatment was in was beautifully decorated and smelt divine, with lovely relaxing music being piped through. The massage table was comfortable with a thick, snuggly duvet covering it, which had been pre-warmed somehow before I got into it. Before the massage even started I was already feeling less tense! Then the massage itself melted the knots in my shoulders and neck away leaving me so relaxed. I will definitely be going back in a couple of weeks for a repeat treatment, even if my back is fine, as the half hour of absolute relaxation and time on my own away from the darling kiddies was so reviving. (Wow, that's the name of the salon! A perfect description in my opinion!) And to know that the cost of such relaxation is half of the price you'd pay in a main stream salon makes it even better. For all new customers Revive does 20% off your first treatment, so there's an incentive to try it out. And there is also a loyalty card scheme for massage/facial treatments. I hope to fill mine up to get a free treatment down the line at some point!

The tan cost me £25 which I think is the standard price, and I did come out with an even looking tan. I'm not going to lie, it was pretty damn obvious I was caked in fake tan but when does fake tan look 100% natural? The girl who sprayed me was nice enough, and put me at ease as I stood in a tiny bra and thong. The salon isn't huge and is always quite quiet, which I think is a good thing as generally you want to relax while being pampered. The girls were all very nice and they offer a wide range of treatments at a reasonable price. I guess I will be back this summer to do it all again!

I've had the leg waxes with the rogue strip of hair left down the side/back of the leg, the Polish salon who wanted to wax my legs with the same immac wax strips I had at home for emergencies (salon cost £12, home cost £4.49 for the pack which gives me 2/3 leg waxes), the overly-expensive eyebrow threading which didn't look as if my eyebrows had been touched, and a beautician who ripped off half my eye brows and didn't fess up so I had to go to an uber important meeting with crayoned eyebrows :-( However, last minute emergency waxes don't work when your beautician is 60 miles away so I was still hoping that I could find somewhere which would get it right. Been to Beauty 2000 a couple of times now and will return. Always managed to get a same day appointment and I will keep going back as my waxing to date has been flawless. Prices are reasonable too - I think about £14 for a half leg which is cheaper then town prices (£18-£20 in some places) and also a 15% discount is available for students (show your matric card).
