This morning I called to book a BIAB nail application and a pedicure, just like the photo I sent …read more They said, "Sure, we can do that." The lady spent about an hour on my nails, but she didn't clean my cuticles properly. I asked her to make them look clean, but she barely touched them. She applied two layers of clear base and then two layers of a nude milky shade -- which looked nothing like what I had asked for. The result: bulky gel around the cuticles, uneven application, and one nail that wasn't even shaped round. When I pointed out that one nail looked off, she said, "Your finger isn't even." Her command of English was poor, which made it hard to explain what I wanted. I skipped pedicure cause I expected it will be a disaster. Since I had to rush to another appointment, I left but later called back to complain. I explained that I was unhappy with the result and that this wasn't BIAB. The man I spoke to told me to come back so they could redo it. When I returned, I explained again that the nails were bulky, uneven, and nothing like what I had asked for. They didn't seem to understand me, and he said, "She did a good job. I can remove it if you like, but we don't do BIAB color." I was shocked -- why didn't they tell me that in the morning before taking the booking? In the end, he removed the top layer, told me to wash my hands, gave me back my money, and left me with cracked, unfinished layers still on my nails. They weren't cleaned, smooth, or wearable. Overall: a complete waste of time, unprofessional, misleading, and the worst nail experience I've ever had.

I almost jumped out my chair when she told me it was 40 quid. 40 pounds to PAINT MY NAILS!! Which will probably just chip off in a day or two (which it did). Granted there are some nice colours to choose from and the staff are well trained and professional, but for 40 pounds I could buy a lot more than pink nails. I feel like this Nail Bar was an after thought when designing the Harvey Nichols as it is randomly squeezed in at the bottom of an escalator. Which means you get random folk glaring at you as they rise above you. Very odd. For someone who loves to get their nails done there is probably not many places better than Nails Inc. I'm sure if I was a trillionare I would spend my days lunching and getting manis/pedis as all the kept woman who frequent this nail bar do. But for now I will stick to my 2.95 Barry M nail polish and a DIY job.

One word - Champagne Nail Manicures!!…read more BLISS!! I can't tell you how much I love this nail bar. I feel AMAZING sitting on the white seats getting my nails done whilst sipping champagne. I feel even better when they throw in a free pedicure - which happens quite often! I always go with my mum (cos i feel a but wierd sitting sipping champage by myself) and we have such a laugh. When we are done, we either sit and wait around their seats and watch the beautiful people pass us by, or we toddle up to the 4th floor for a martini in our flip-flops and champagne. People always comment when they see us and so they should - it's brilliant!! It costs around £60 for a mani/pedi, contact them for a full range of prices. I would recommend one nail-artist but they are all as good as each other. And they are all lovely, really friendly. I love this bar!

Had a lovely experience, she did a marvellous job. Usually I only go for a clear gel top coat, she recommended to try a very subtle sheer pink that would enhance my nails without scream NAIL VARNISH, best decision ever. Her salon is very clean, great selection of colours, atmosphere and customer service are outstanding. Looking forward to next time I am in Edinburgh.

However, at 1pm on the day of the appointment - 2 hours prior to when my daughter was booked in, I received a text message asking me to confirm if I still needed this appointment. As I was busy, I did not reply until exactly one hour later, by which point I'd had a follow-up text telling me the appointment was being cancelled. I have never in my life had a business ask me just 2 hours before something is scheduled if I still wanted an appointment, then cancel on me short notice. I am absolutely disgusted by the lack of professionalism and disregard for a potential client. I can only speculate that, since I asked my daughter to call the salon herself, that the staff somehow questioned whether or not she could afford to pay for the treatment, on account of the fact she has a young-sounding voice. I say this because, when Glam Nails said they had an appointment, my daughter was asked (in a snooty fashion), "you do realise it's £45?" Why on earth would this question be asked?! So, today at 2pm, I had to drive around Edinburgh with a distraught daughter, trying to get her nails done for this evening. My daughter has had a tough year and I wanted to make sure she felt amazing at her graduation ball, but you, Glam Nails, ensured that the evening was tainted by unnecessary stress. Every cloud has a silver lining, however. Judging by the pictures on your Facebook business page, I'd say we dodged a bullet. The nails in the profile image are simply substandard.
