All the "old-timers" who lived in this area for many years told me that they've only used this company, - some, many times over, - and they all extolled its virtues, both for repairing and for cleaning their blinds. So I called to book an appointment, for someone to swing by and install a new chain and perhaps inspect all the other chains. The woman on the phone knew the area and knew my building well, and we set up a date and time. The pricing seemed reasonable to me, too. My daughter visited me a few days later from Montreal and told me she thought she could repair or replace the chain. (She's kinda the MacGuyver type. Very hands-on, Ms. Fix-It. Not sure where she got those genes lol). Anyhow, we went to this store to get some chain cords. (I should have checked the hours first, as they are closed some days and the first time my kid and I went, of course it was closed that day. We went again the following day and it was open. Yeah!). Note: there is a small parking "lot" in the back of the store, accessible off an alleyway, where you can park for free. We walked through the store, from the back (the rear door from the rear parking lot area) to the front counter area by the front door, passing all the workers and the work room in the rear. Quite the operation they have going on here! It's like a huge warehouse workroom in the back, with tons and tons of all sorts of blinds hanging on racks (who knew there were so many kinds?), long work tables and all sorts of cleaning and repair tools. Anyhow, at the front, I spoke to a lady and gave her a section of my blind's broken chain (I knew they had many different chain ball diameters, so I knew to bring a part of my chain in for them to match). I got a new chain for a VERY reasonable price and we went on our merry way. My kid was able to replace the broken chain (it was a little tricky, especially removing and replacing the valance, but she didi it), and I called this place to cancel our appointment scheduled for the following week. They were super nice about it all. This is a great place. They know what they're doing. And if you are able to fit the blinds yourself, they have the parts here you could probably purchase (as I did). A+.

The representative was very accomodating and I felt that they are very professional, so I asked for appoinment for estimates. They were very punctual and respectful, and explained us the details. We agreed and set the schedule. Before the scheduled installation, they called to confirm which made me feel important. They came on time and installed and cleaned up after. We are very happy and contented to have OMNI Blinds for the renovation, our house does look much better. I have a 2-year old roller solars shade in my home previously installed by the building developer. The metal chain of the roller shade came off track and was tangled, resulting in the roller shade to be stuck and not being able to be closed. Most blind companies Who responded only install new blinds/shades that you purchase from them. Greystone is the only one who offers the repair services. + Short wait time. I contacted Greystone on Friday and was able to get an appointment on Monday. Another company that offers the repair service has a 2-week waiting list. The Greystone technician was able to fix the off-track and tangled chain promptly so I could get a good night sleep with no city street light shining from outside again. + Prompt service. The technician communicated with me regularly on the day of the appointment. I received a call 30 minute before my appointment. When the technician couldn't find the building, he contacted me to confirm the address. I was given a one hour window for the arrival time, as opposed to the 4-hour window from other repair appointments. The technician arrived on time and fixed the blind within 30 minutes. The technician Humam was very courteous in all his communication. + Good quality work. The technician Humam did an excellent job. My roller shade can be closed and opened smoothly again. - Cash only.
