Brite Blinds Review...
Sunday August 23, 2015.
Ladies & Gentlemen, I am giving up 45 minutes of my day off to tell you about our experience with Brite Blinds Canada.
If you don't want to read until the end I completely understand, but I do hope that you will take my advice when I tell you that this is NOT a company that you want to do business with.
If I can just save one of you from having to go through the issues that we have had with this company, then this 45 minutes will be worth the effort.
Here is our experience...
We we opened our new office last year in Calgary we knew we were going to need some window coverings. We contacted Brite Blinds Canada and their sales representative, Gina Evans arrived on May 2, 2014 with her samples. She was polite and courteous and showed us several styles we were interested in.
We placed an order and we were told that installation would happen in three to four weeks. The first Installer arrived on July 18, 2014. That is eleven weeks after the order was placed and seven to eight weeks late. Three of the blinds had to be returned to the factory with defects. None of the blinds we actually cut to the sizes we requested.
The second installer arrived during the last week of August 2014 to install the Blinds that were returned to the factory due to defects.
We started sending emails to the company complaining about the blinds falling apart, not being installed properly, and the adjustment cords snapping in multiple places. Phone calls were directed to different people who all stated that they would get back to us. All we received in return was silence.
I should mention that because of these issues, we withheld the final payment for the blinds and the installation. As Brite Blinds refused to address our concerns or even return our phone calls.
The Brite Blinds Canada referred our file to a Third Party Collection Agent - Credit Management Corporation from Vancouver British Columbia. Anybody who has ever had to deal with these thugs can understand the frustration one will experience trying to explain to them that there is a reason why we have withheld the payment for the poor quality product and extremely poor service we received.
Credit Management Corporation's head thug, a Mr. Michael Murrell. This guy is a condescending prick of the highest order. We attempted to offer settlement several times but this guy insisted that we pay the full amount and refused to discuss the poor quality product and lack of service with us.
To make a long story shorter, CMC and Brite Blinds filed suit against us in Civil Court this past summer. We never received the notice that they had filed suit and a judgment was entered against my company. We are attempting to appeal as we speak but I may have to pay these people the outstanding $2300.00 for the work they did so badly.
It is not the money, it is the principle behind holding companies accountable for poor quality products and services.
So here is what I hope will happen over and over again. I hope that you will read this review and I hope that you will decide to purchase your blinds from another provider. To get the point across, I hope that you will comment below to tell this company that you elected to purchase your blinds from another provider. So that they can see how treating one customer badly will have an effect on their business going forward.
Thank you,
