I don't remember who did my hair. She was young and had very poor Idea on cutting hair. When she finished I found long pieces she missed and pointed them out to her. "that just happens sometime." No it doesn't if you know what you are doing. I found more strands she missed when I got home. Then in one spot, she cut it shorter than anyplace on my head... Lisa L does great Colour. The service is an all around great experience. Hair washing station is comfortable and Lisa uses great products for conditioning and styling. Both locations are really nice. I'm from Indianapolis and was in ormond visiting my sister for a few days and decided i needed a hair cut. Not just a trim but a cut. I got on Yelp and found this salon. Courtney had really good reviews so I chose her. I got an appointment pretty quick. She was amazing the minute I came in the door. Very personable and made me feel right at home. I showed her a couple of pictures of what i was looking for and she nailed it!!! Now I've been going to the same lady in Indy for the past 5 years. I'm very particular about my hair. I would highly recommend this salon and stylist, Shelly. This salon was beautiful, clean, well organized, and very comfortable. I liked the products they used and the way my hair smelled after the appointment. Shelley was quick and efficient and colored my hair perfectly. The thing I liked the best was the way she cut it and styled it. It was very different than I'm used to in a haircut but the end result was just perfect. OMG! I had never been in this salon before but wow, how rude the front desk girl was!!!! It said walk-ins welcome so we went in to get my daughters hair trimmed. From the start she was not friendly and while inquiring about services, she was short and it felt like she didn't have time for us. I finally walked out after the shortness and attitude I was given. Plus there was one costumer in the chair with a stylist while another stylist was sitting in the front on her phone. Maybe she had a client but perception is everything. I would Never go there again and I suggest if you want good service don't bother!!! Update on my review. Since I never received services I can see where giving one star could be unfair to your salon as a hole. The fact that your "manager" blatantly lied about what I said is sad but doesn't surprise me with how she acted. I did not state anything that was not true in my original post. What you wrote was here say since you were not actually there. I had my two daughters with me who can attest that the "F" word NEVER came out of me mouth. She asked my name and then when I asked if she wanted my name or my daughters and again got attitude. I said, "forget it" because I felt like I was wasting her time. And I commented how rude she was as I was walking out. You probably have amazing stylist from what I see from previous reviews but first impressions are everything. I went to two other salons who had no availability for the day but were polite and friendly and there were no issues. To be fair to your salon I would not be opposed to changing or canceling the review because their was no actual services rendered. If you would like to discuss please leave a number so I can contact you in a private message. I'm sure low ratings are hard to see especially on Yelp and I'm sorry for that but next time do not accuse a costumer of cursing when you were not there and I promise you, that never happened. I have NEVER in all of my service recovery calls just went off on a customer before contacting them and getting their full side of the story. Finally, a qualified, professional, caring, customer-service oriented hair stylist that can understand my complicated hair and needs ! For 2 years since we moved to Ormond Beach, I have been trying different hair stylists. Ronesia (Ro-neese-ee-ah), or Ro for short, did an amazing job today on my hair for my first visit. I have long, thick hair which is partially straight and partially curly - the curls are in the back where the hair is very thick. I explained that I was unhappy with how it laid in the back - it was very poufy and blocky. other stylists tried undercutting to an extreme which did not resolve the issue. Ro suggested an alternative which did wonders! We did a dry haircut, which she still blow dried, and it just looked gorgeous for the first time ever since growing out my hair. I was referred to the salon by someone who has a friend who goes there. i visited the salon last week to check it out, and Ro happened to be in the lobby. She was so easy to talk to. She listened, was patient, and seemed to understand my frustrations. She really seemed to know what she was doing and it was proven today. Even the ladies at the front desk are very courteous. What a relief to finally have a competent hair stylist :-). read more
