I came to industry after having a major disaster with my hair. My usual stylist from another salon was out on leave of absence so they recommended another stylist there. She did a terrible job, just did not seem to have a clue as what I wanted and really ruined it, so much so I had to go elsewhere and take off about 4 inches (which was upsetting because I was trying to grow it out again). After @ 8 weeks I was ready for color and cut but not confident to go back to the second stylist. I found industry salon here on Yelp through another former patron of my precious salon. She mentioned Ana used to work there, so I checked industry out and took a chance on Ana. Well she was terrific! She looked at the style I wanted (at this point I decided to stay shoulder length but with some shape - light layers so it doesn't look too short). The color is perfect and the style is just right-modern and sassy and really perfect for my hair and face. Still in disbelief I didn't leave when shown the price... once in the chair, Maddie did show me the price I was going to pay. $700 for a full blonde highlight with purple peekaboo, and a keratin express. Whaaaaat???? To avoid the embarrassment of leaving, and because I really needed service, we agreed to a partial instead for $500. I should have suffered the embarrassment of leaving, because I'm so embarrassed I actually agreed to that. This is over 2X what I paid in Atlanta. To add insult to injury, I ended up with purple bleed onto the newly foiled blonde, and had to go back and get it fixed. Please make yourself aware the price beforehand. I feel the prices were outrageous and the results certainly didn't live up to the price. read more

I've been coming here for a couple of years now and have always had the most amazing experience. However yesterday was another story. I asked for just a trim, cut the split ends off and keep the length, I've been trying to grow my hair for 3 years and it's not easy with having thyroid issues. So imagine my complete shock when there was over 3 inches (wet) cut off without even asking if I wanted that much taken off. My hair was to the middle of my back and now it just dusts my shoulders. Not to mention it was cut straight across which I hate and never have had done. I am beyond disappointed and extremely angry, as there is nothing that can be done except maybe pay a fortune for extensions and have to deal with the upkeep of them as well. I scheduled my appointment online with Carrie and explained what I wanted to be done with my hair. I was extremely nervous, having been to 5 different hair salons in Palm Coast. Carrie was such a great listener and explained exactly what she would be doing with my hair in order to achieve the desired results. She is an exceptional hair stylist, and I was so happy with my hair that I am referring her to all of my family and friends. She is amazing, and you will not be disappointed. Marineth is very accommodating and the best!!! I dont mind travelling 3 hours from Tampa to Ormond just to have my hair done with her. HUGE mistake taking my daughter to the salon for a back to school cut gone horribly wrong. Went through two stylists. Still didn't get it right. I had not good experience with Mattison Harvey. I explained her what I wanted to be done with my hair. I show to Mattison 10 deferent photos bright chunky highlights , I told her again and again what I like, size of strands and color of strands. She is heard, but not listen... I was very, very disappointed about my results of my highlights, my hair was total grey, but my hair was not grey before this service. After this highlights I look like older Grandmother. After this BIG MISTAIKE Mattison work, I talked with manager about this terrible hairdresser mistake and she told me Mattison will remake my highlights next appointment. After 2 weeks , when we scheduled appointment , Mattison talk with co-owner Rorie Smith and she told me I need to pay for hairdresser mistake, additional $150. I don't think so! Owner need make client happy, but she is opposite. It is terrible for this business! I'm not recommend this Salon for anyone. This is absolute disaster that I experienced at the salon. read more

Clean, crisp and most aesthetically pleasing salon in the Greater Daytona area! Stepping into Industry is like stepping into time machine and being transferred to a hip and chic urban setting. And most importantly, they even have coffee. Products are reasonably priced as well, and staff is excellent at recommend which products would suit your particular hair needs. My hair specialist was Tony, and I couldn't recommend him more highly. However, everyone else in the salon had great hair and sense of style, so I would put my hair into any of their very capable hands. I received a great cut with great color. What more can a girl ask for? Tony took my limp and over processed hair and turned it into a style that is multi-dimensional and silky smooth. He is great with consulting with clients, listening to their needs, and finding a style that both fits your desires and flatters your features. Also this man is a wizard at getting foils in quickly! If you are on the fence about trying out Industry, don't be! This was my first time and I will be a repeat customer for the rest of my time in Daytona/Ormond. read more

I've lived in Ormond Beach for about three years. I've had my hair cut at a couple of places in Ormond but was never really happy with the results. This week was my first visit to Industry Salon. I had my hair cut and styled by Mary. She did a fantastic job. My hair is straight and I am so tired of a bob. I told Mary I was tired of my boring hair. She did an awesome job of layering and texturizing the ends. It looks casual and contemporary. My favorite hair cut ever! My color was beautiful, they manage to get it lighter without damage even though there was no much education on Olaplex treatment. They just added the number one to the bleach mix but there was no number 2 or 3 application afterwards. I still left with a beautiful color, very happy with it. Just finish at home the Olaplex treatment on my own. They also need some education on curly hair styling and cuts. It would be great for them to get a Deva Cut specialist. I had to leave the place with my hair wet and frizzy but well that is always the case for curly girls going to a no Deva Curl Salon. read more
