I've had two stylists t leave and switched over to another really kind stylist who I really liked. On last Saturday at 3:00 pm the Manager called to let me know that she was canceling my weekly appointments from here on out bc she wasn't going anywhere and that she heard I had an issue with her. I was hosting a Penn State football part and the manager ignored me but continued to go on and on... I was told to find another Hair Cuttery. This is so unprofessional... I have reached out 2 times to Hair Cuttery customer and also left a message for their area supervisor to contact me at another store. read more

This should be a negative star review but im giving it 1 because Dawn showed me her saggy knockers and I was uncomfortable but then they showed me her boobs when I asked her not too again?? I tried to talk to the manager Terri about it but she makes the store good money so they havent done anything to fire her or write her up the new manager Alley doesn't like black people she refused to look at my friend or acknowledge her, when I tried to report Dawn to Alley she started talking about how she makes good money for the store. Angie was incredibly kind to my 89 year old mother-in-law. She listened to exactly how Barbara wanted her hair and gave her perfectly what she wanted. Angie looked at the same picture 100 times that Barbara wanted to show her without complaint or making her feel bad in any way. It was like the first time she saw it - every time! Angie made sure that she made Barbara extra comfortable when she was washing her hair. Angie is the first person that Barbara has said that she loved her hair the second day. Im new to the area, but my usual salon in Orlando was Ulta, however Ulta was a bit far from me...I was so excited to find this hair cuttery right by my new place! I asked for a bang trim for a v shape I called before asking if anyone could do this difficult trim (my old hair lady in Orlando was very good at edgy and bold bangs like this and was use to me, she worked for an Ulta salon tho) before I go they said yes show us a picture i said okay fair enough, I went in showing them a picture , I told the lady multiple times I did NOT want it short I Hate short bangs (I should have just went with a straight across blunt bangs but I wanted something different and missed this style of bang on me) I told her I want them long but in a V cut, my bangs were long enough already to accomplish this...she ended up giving me the shortest micro V bangs ever. Literally ruined my hair. Made me look like I had a 5 head (LMFAO) I couldn't believe it. I told her before the cut please I don't want my forehead to show, and I literally showed her a picture of a girl with LONG V bangs and said "I still don't want it that short" lol (with the length of my bangs she could have definitely kept them long) I left holding back tears shocked at how ugly It looked, how embarrassing, I was literally too embarrassed to be seen out in public and my bf has to come home to see me like this (LMAO, we both laughed so hard when he saw me because we couldn't believe this bang job) I'm currently pregnant and been struggling feeling confident due to pregnancy this bang trim was suppose to help but only made me feel worse, (so due to hormones you can imagine that I'm a bit depressed by this outcome even tho it is like really funny looking) I'm literally so embarrassed to be seen like this and I hate showing my forehead It looks like I did them myself.... but now I have no choice to pin these bangs back (which has been nearly impossible cuz they're so short, I have to get clips) or wear a beanie in the hot Florida summer weather because I some how look better without them? I'm praying they grow back before my baby shower next month.... It's just so upsetting only have 3 more months left of my pregnancy hoping to feel beautiful and wanting to take cute pictures and feel myself again but I literally can't do that now. I'm never one to complain or leave a review ESPECIALLY a bad one and I hate to be a Karen right now but this was just sooo ... horrendous, it's literally really laughable. She didn't even cape me or parted my hair she just went to cutting and I didn't even care that she did that I'm pretty chill I should have seen it as a red flag tho?....but it's like...idk I feel really bad bc maybe she's new? Which is why i didn't say anything at first besides the fact I was so shock and I'm not confrontational when it comes to service workers especially since I'm a bit introverted, but I could tell this was her first time doing a bang like this and maybe she's new at hair bc she had no idea what she was really doing but she tried her best and she asked for help at the end before it was too late. I went home and just cried because I couldn't believe how my hair looked, it's literally so funny and so awful and insecurity/ anxiety inducing all at the same time ...my hair was thriving getting long now I have to take it shorter to fix this awful bang and then go through losing my hair after birth with postpartum so I just don't really win here. If you don't want anything complex then this place is great but if you're wanting bold and edgy please just go to Ulta or something. Unfortunately I won't be returning. The funniest part was her taking a picture of the before and after like there's no way you think this looks good and I wish I can tell her not to post that now...like please ... but I was just so shocked and emotional I didn't know what to say I couldn't even look her in the eyes after...but maybe it'll grow back fast...maybe a bang like this will take MONTHS possibly the rest of my last trimester but maybe not and it'll grow faster since I'm pregnant but I'm never cheating on Ulta again. Honestly I've cried every day since I got this awful bang job. I seriously can't believe I look like this. I have all these things coming up and I look like this? I'm never stepping into another hair cuttery again. This is too embarrassing. I'm too embarrassed to be seen my summer is ruined lol. I don't know how I'm gonna do my maternity shoots and baby shower lookin like this either... I literally asked her if she knew how to do it n that I don't want them short at all, I asked her if she ever done anything like this and she didn't even really give me an answer. This is the rudest, nastiest salon I have ever experienced. As soon as I walked in the door the lady says "Yeah what do you want?" They were disrespectful to me the whole time I was there and treated me like I was a burden of their time. Why work in a public place if you're going to treat customers this way? They need a MAJOR improvement on their customer service. The haircut was terrible and I ended up going to another salon after to fix it. place was completely empty. now I can see why. I have A LOT of hair and she was not the least bit phased with the amount of work it takes to dye it. I will definitely be going back. I desperately needed a trim. My dad and I came in without an appointment this afternoon. We were greeted immediately by Amanda and we were seen with zero wait time. She asked me a few questions of what we needed done for our visit. Renee was my hairstylist she was very meticulous, professional and friendly. I was very happy with my haircut, it looks beautiful. I had the misfortune of visiting this place with my boyfriend this evening. We walked up for his haircut at 8 pm-an hour before closing-to an empty store. The two employees outside asked us if we were sure we wanted to get haircuts instead of going to the Starbucks next door. My boyfriend was "helped" by a woman with a purple Mohawk. The woman went out of her way to misunderstand his request for the haircut: long on top, short underneath, closer to the head ("so like an undercut but blended?" "You're going to lose a lot of length up top" "you just want a buzz cut right?"). The entire attitude was hostile and demeaning; at one point she gestured to his hair and said "well I'm not touching this, just describe what you want" despite the fact that it was freshly washed and dried that evening for his cut. When she said she would be washing his hair again he took the opportunity to say he felt like he was being rushed and could just come back tomorrow. Clearly we are never going back; and after the service we had this evening it's not a shock to see why the store was completely empty. read more

I came in early on a Saturday and there wasn't any one waiting, both barbers were busy with another customers, but they didn't even acknowledge that I was even there even though they had seen me when I came in. After 15 minutes of waiting, a friend of one barber came in and skipped me in line! I asked why that was and they rudely responded that I needed to wait my turn. Needless to say I left. I've taken my 87 YR old mom twice to this salon & both times her hair was "cut" by Sandra. I am done. Both times she upsold services that were not requested once she had mom by herself. My mom has dementia and is "easy", will not say no to anyone who is nice. Both times Sandra ask what she wanted & I'd say shampoo & cut please and a no to the blow dry. Mom has Very short hair, no need for a dry, just a cut so I can easily care for her hair, $18 out the door. But she gets the $10 charge for a blow dry with very little cut!! It's stupid. Now I have to take my mom somewhere for a haircut!! I'm so over this stupid game & this shop, no receipt (i didn't realize this today until I got mom back to her assisted living facility!) I paid $28. + tip for a non hair cut & have to go again somewhere else to get it fixed. I'm pretty upset & feel she took advantage of my poor elderly mom to make money. I have been going to Hair Cuttery in Ormond Beach for several months now. The atmosphere is relaxed and positive so it is a pleasure to go there. I've had haircuts, shampoo and blowouts and coloring first by one girl who isn't there anymore and it was okay-----and then I found Mary! I just love her. Before I get to my hair, I would like to say that Mary has a super personality (and I tell her every time I see her). She is positive, friendly and very professional. And I can say that "she knows her stuff". I get my hair colored every 5 or 6 weeks by her and it is always a good experience. Now down to the hair; Mary does a beautiful job in coloring my roots and then the rest of my hair. I don't know how she does it, but my hair comes out the most beautiful two-tone color every time. When I get home, I just stare at it in the mirror. It is so smooth and the color is so cool. I LOVE IT! And I love Mary. She has her full attention on me while she is working on me and obviously knows what she's doing. I finally found someone I can trust to go to every time. Thanks Mary! read more

My stylist was Melissa. I asked for a V shape haircut with layers and to take off 2 inches. After several attempts to get a V shape, she tried to do it with a buzzer. After spending an hour and a half there, I ended up with 5 inches off, uneven bangs and and U shape. After I confronted her and the manager about using the buzzer, they told me this was the only way to do a V shape because it is a "precision cutting". I insisted that I had it done several times previously and never with a buzzer, they pretended to have to knowledge of it. I ended up going to Wal-mart to have my hair fixed and the Walmart stylists were shocked of what the Haircuttery did to my hair and told me that the V cut is the most popular classic haircut and they could not understand how the Haircuttery did not know how to do it. I called the corporate to make a complaint and no one called me back. read more
