I moved to Palm Coast in February to take a travel position as a registered nurse in a local hospital. I am from Michigan and have used the same hairdresser and salon for many years. I was apprehensive about trying a local salon, but my hair was in need of some attention. I contacted a local hairdresser through the suggestion of a co-worker. I showed the hairdresser a picture of what I wanted my hair to look like. I was in need of a color, lowlights, and a trim. After two separate trips to the salon, my blonde hair was dark brown with a tinge of green. What a HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT! A few weeks prior, I met Connie at the pool where we live and she told me that she was a hairdresser and owned a local salon. I told her that I had just made an appointment with someone, but if it didn't work out I would give her a call. Little did I know that I would be calling her so soon, or need her so DESPARATELY. Knowing that I would NEVER give the first salon another chance, I called Connie and explained my dilemma. She assured me that she could FIX my hair and made an appointment for the following afternoon. What an AMAZING woman and hairdresser; she REALLY knows her job! I was so happy to have my blonde hair back and am looking forward to my next appointment. I never write reviews but in this case i couldn't resist. I'v been in Florida for nearly 20 years and have been to so many hair salons and all of them were total disasters...seriously orange or green hair!!!! I gave up and let my hair grow out, gray from crown to chin and then 6 inches of dark brown!! I turned to Yelp and started reading, thats when i found Connie at Consalon. Went to see her and instantly trusted her. Knowing she taught hair color at an upscale school in California, also owned a salon there and had styled and colored numerous actors and models hair really assured me she knew her stuff! I cant believe how beautiful my hair looked when i left her salon, it was perfect the first time! Love the cut too! She is the nicest person and makes you feel comfortable soon as you walk in. Just moved here and was long overdue for a cut and color. I found Connie on Yelp and decided to give her a try and I am so glad that I did. Connie is amazing! She is so warm and welcoming. She quickly understood the issues that I was having with my hair and and gave me a perfect cut and color for a very reasonable price. She also gave my 13 year old son a cut. I was a little worried about his cut because he is very picky and nervous about his hair. She put him at ease instantly and gave him the best hair style that he has ever had. He is thrilled. At the end of our appointment my husband came with our 2 younger sons. Connie noticed that one of my boys haircut was poorly done and ask if she could fix it. She whipped out her scissors and 5 minutes later his hair was perfect. She didn't charge us for his fix. My entire family are now loyal clients of Connie! read more

It is with great apprehension that I write this review, because I really don't want to share Connie. I moved to Flagler Beach about a year ago - prior to that I had the same hairdresser for 10 years. I had tried a few here and things were OK, but I wasn't truly satisfied. I stumbled upon Connie a few weeks ago here on Yelp - I was looking for someone new and I really didn't want to drive over the bridge. She is Wonderful! I sent my husband to her also and he came raving that it was the best haircut in a very long time. I have since brought my 2 sons to her for haircuts also. Been contemplating how to start this review and I think the best way to is by saying I haven't let anyone else touch my hair since the day I met Connie seven years ago. I don't ever have to tell her what to do I blindly let her do what she thinks is right and it always turns out beautiful! Found Connie of ConSalon on Yelp, so thank you to others who took time to review, so I am jumping on because I now know how important these reviews are. I've been a difficult client to please...accustomed to beautiful mix of coloring with highlights, lowlights, and a base color that makes all of the colors well, just rich looking. Connie was able to do this for me. Rich carmel highlights with even a few hints of lighter color and a deep base. She's creative when asked witb both the hair cut and coloring. Hadn't had a haircut in almost a year. Decided I needed one while I was on vacation. She made time for me because she wanted to make sure I got a great haircut so I didn't regret cutting off my long hair. An excellent job returning my hair to a soft and heathy feel, after it was botched up, bad. She is helping me return it to the beautiful blonde it was in stead of the boring brown with white stripes.
