Update: Rebecca, the manager, offered to "fix" my hair. I told her I didn't want anyone to fix it…read moreuntil it grows back out for at least a month. It is already too short, and I don't want to fry it. I also don't want to go to her salon again, because there were about 15 mistakes from phone calls to my style as I walked out the door. I wouldn't feel comfortable sitting there at the mercy of people who might be angry with me. I would like my money back. I have never once left a bad review on any business. I typically don't do reviews. She didn't even offer a partial refund. She said they did a great job, my hair was allegedly too damaged to put the blonde back in, and that's why Jessica left me as a brunette. So, apparently, they decided for me, without my consent, what color my hair should be! They also decided my cut should be that of a pageboy with added bangs, and not an asymmetrical bob that is left to grow longer. Instead of beach waves, like the pictures I showed as inspiration. I got a straight, sleek, regular, short bob, with the ends curled under. WOW. That's 0-3.
1. Color - wrong
2. Cut - wrong
3. Style - wrong
Hands down, NO one in my family or friends categories think this is a good look in any way, including the two professional stylistsI consulted to fix it. But the lady told me it was great, and to go ahead and post these reviews, because my claims are invalid. Included are the pictures, and the text I sent the hairdresser the day before the appointment occurred. My original hair picture was about 1.5 - 2 months prior, so my hair was even longer when I sat in the chair. It's a shame that the salon didn't give a refund, which I think, in this particular instance, is an appropriate response. If they would fix the situation, I would be understanding that even really bad days can happen to well meaning people, and I would walk away feeling less attractive, but happy that they cared what I actually wanted, and cared to rectify the issue in a way that was satisfactory to me, as a human and a customer. This makeover was one of few that I have ever allowed myself to have. It was for a weeklong trip, a best friend's wedding, and seeing old classmates. I am deeply humbled by this terrible makeover experience.
