I needed to post more pictures for my hair SPECIALIST, Bertine. I couldn't do it without posting another review so, I will again tell & show you how awesome & professional she is. I am a PICKY hair SNOB when it comes to my hair. In 15 years living here, BERTINE is the ONLY one who actually LISTENS & WRITES down what I want & need done. You DO know what I'm talking about that you CANNOT FIND anyone here like this. Believe me, I've searched AND interviewed so called Hairdressers from OBS Ormond Beach, Daytona Beach, Flagler, AND Port Orange. ( If you DON'T WANT to hear about terrible hairdressers, scroll down to the bottom) _______________________________ ***To BE FAIR, I DID find some decent ones BUT, after a while, they didn't look at what they wrote down & did what they wanted to do to my hair. I had a hairdresser for 4 years (Goddess). She was from N.Y. She was just getting started here & had reasonable prices, THEN, She started to talk about HERSELF (Goddess) & actually Left me alone while she went to pick her car up. She became so popular, she rather prices, & didn't give her regulars any respect. She started to do what SHE THOUGHT I wanted for my hair. (again Goddess) THEN, she bleached it WITHOUT my permission. (I like 2 colors in my hair). It came out FRIZZED, & DAMAGED my hair to NO repair. When I told her how awful it was, she had the other hairdressers say it was the best it ever looked. When I have a disagreement with her, (FREAKIN GODDESS) SHE BANNED ME FROM HER SALON!!!*** ________________________________ OK, enough of terrible hairdressers, I have NEVER told anyone about this particular hairdresser (GODDESS) so you can START to read here again BERTINE from "The Establishment" took approximately 9 months to repair my hair & have it bea8& growing again. read more

Completely & utterly the worst experience I have EVER faced in my life!! Negative Stars!!!! **UPDATED & easier to read review** First week of January 2017 Facts: -The Eyelash Extension Tech(Yeshin)has no license,insurance or the ability to acquire one since you must obtain a hair,nail or skin license etc in order to be able to become licensed!! -The glue she used isn't FDA Approved for eyes! EXTREMELY DANGEROUS(it's no different then super glue) Plus the glue itself doesn't do well in humidity lol(HELLO FLORIDA). -I asked for natural looking everyday lashes that wouldn't interfere with my glasses & she applied double the length & size that hit my glasses. -SHE GLUED MY LASHES TOGETHER IN CLUMPS & ONTO MY LID WHICH YOU SHOULD NEVER DO! -She did 1 eye at a time instead of balancing both eyes out at the same time(like taught in school)! You can do one eye at a time if you know what you're doing but the chance for mistakes will arise & it's harder to make corrections if it's to far off! -She used 3 different style on the outer edges making one side weigh down the outer edge while the other didn't! It was completely obvious that was s mistake. -She kept her ringer on her phone so as she played calming music her phone would obnoxiously ring in between!!! -I told her several times I was unhappy but her only solution at the end was "just come back in a couple weeks & I'll fix them"!! Lol....ummm HELLO THIS IS MY FACE!!! -My eyes were blood shot for 4-5 days,my lids were sore & yes...my lashes were in fact hitting the inside of my glasses! -I had them removed by a licensed & insure profesional & it hurt soooo freaking bad!! Clumps of my real lashes were coming out along with the searing hot pain of super glue in my eyes as she was removing everything(unavoidable)!! Long story short her customer service was even worse then the experience itself.This was my first time so I leaned heavily on her to guide me through my anxiety.I didn't know most of the things I do now which is of course my fault but she shouldn't of let me walk out the way she did! I had to fight with her for a week to get her to find me a solution & then she finally caved & said "I'll remove them"!! OK so why didn't she just remove them right away or give me that choice????!! I honestly thought I was stuck with them for a couple weeks because that was my only choice!! UGHHH! Once again I'll take part of the blame on that! DO YOUR RESEARCH PEOPLE! Know what you want(length,type & overall look)! Research all the pros & cons so you know what you're getting into!! Most importantly make sure your tech is fully licensed/insured! The only 2 pros here is that I learned my lesson & found a professional to remove & redo everything correctly! Man I hope you guys can avoid this!! I love this salon!! I moved to the area from Boston and was skeptical about salons due to the high skill level in the city. I was recommended to Bertine by a friend and am so happy! Bertine is a perfectionist and will not let you leave her chair until your hair is perfect. She has given me highlights and full colors. I have recommended her to numerous people who have had excellent results! I go see her about every 6 weeks. Not to mention her prices are amazing for the work completed. read more

I found Bertine by accident...and boy am I glad I did! Best hair cut, style and color I have ever had in my 45 years! And I have a lot of hair! She also won a fan in my husband, and he has much less hair...but Bertine takes her time and care to make sure it is exactly as he wants it. She does a great job on my brows, too. I have also received a massage from Leah at the salon...very nice. As long as we are within 60 miles of Bertine, she will be our stylist! read more

When I first moved to FL I was a little skeptical on having someone do my hair, but I am so glad I stumbled upon the salon! Bertine has done both colors in my hair the blonde and the brunette as well as purple. I have never been disappointed with my hair when I walk out. Super friendly easy to get along with and so funny as well. The environment is very welcoming. I highly recommend the bertine elizabeth salon and skin studio!!! read more

We went to the spa for our anniversary... Bertine and her staff made it a much more special and memorable anniversary. They accommodated us and, thanks to their willingness to help my hubby with the surprise, we were able to get a couples massage and mud wraps! They even got roses and a champagne bottle to celebrate... I LOVED it!! We highly recommend this place...if you are looking to relax and have an excellent experience..come HERE!
