It was yellow like she didn't tone it, and she point cut it taking away all thickness and making it look stringy taking away the fullness. Not only that but she ripped thru my hair without combing it first to blow dry it which was painful and extremely damaging. I wish I had been more verbal at the time but was alittle in shock. As time has passed I realize more and more the damage she did to my hair and the breakage involved. It will take at least a year and a half to get back the hair I had and loved. Unfortunately there is no way to rectify this experience and outcome so contacting anyone at this business would have been moot.

If I could give no stars I would. My experience happened some time ago but I was not on yelp then…read more I just now stumbled across this as a suggested salon and thought I should share my story. I came into devotions after being recommended by a close friend, I was looking for a slight balayage which is something I had done at a different salon before and knew looked good on me. I even brought in a picture of me with that hair as an example for what I wanted. It was a basic request for a hair stylist. What I got was so horrendous I was forced to spend $300 elsewhere just to fix it. Now over a year later my hair is still damaged and I am still working to fully fix what was done. I don't know if the stylist who did my hair had never worked on brown hair before, as my friend who had this service done previously was blonde, or if she had snuck into the salon from the street under the cover of darkness and pretended to be a hair stylist just to get enjoyment out of destroying people's hair but either way it was the worst experience of my entire life. Lord I hope she does not work here anymore, I wish I knew the name of the lady who did my hair but unfortunately I don't because she wasn't even friendly enough to make small talk. When she asked me if I liked it I had to sit there fighting back tears waiting for the moment I could get up and go to a different place to get it fixed. I knew there was no use complaining to her because the last thing I wanted was her touching my hair in an attempt to fix it. I probably would have ended up bald. I literally have nightmares about going to this salon. Be very aware of the experience of the person who is doing your hair because the salon I went to in order to fix my hair said that it looked like a) my hair hadn't been developed for long enough and b) they hadn't used any toner. Seems like pretty basic things to know to do when you're in this profession. Attached are the pictures of what I asked for and what I received. Anyone with eyes can easily see that one is nice and simple and the other is clown hair. I wish that the woman who did my hair had to walk around with what she gave me on her head just so she could see how it feels. Everyone please do your research before booking with any salon. You never know what you might get.
