After recently moving to this area, I desperately needed a haircut and decided to try this salon. Am I ever glad I did! The staff is friendly, yet professional and the salon itself is clean and organized. I simply expected a haircut but got an experience instead. Beginning with a massaging shampoo by a very talented young lady, I could have come here just for this awesome shampoo experience alone. If I ever have a hangover, I'm coming here as she can massage it right out of one's head! I'll get her name on next visit. The hair stylist, Veronica's attentive nature eased my haircut anxieties and I simply trusted her to use her talents to create a style for me. Went about 2 months ago got color touch up was ok. New to area so looking for a good colorist. Went back and not sure what the young guy was on but my hair is a light blonde down to should blades. I asked to have my roots done again and about 2 1/2 inches cut off. My roots came out a very dark brown to black??? Where was the color and he cut my hair in many layers above my shoulders!! Yes I was in shock but called back to let mgmt know. I wanted a refund. No. Instead offered to fix my hair?? If you messed up the first time why would I want you to destroy it? Very very unhappy. This place is awesome! I've lived here off and on between living in big cities and was wary to trust my hair with anyone here in PC. After several ladies recommended Moda, I figured I'd give it a try. I've seen both Peter and, more recently, his daughter Vanessa and they both did the most beautiful job on my hair!!! I didn't even have to explain what I needed and they both just knew what to do. Vanessa did the most beautiful job on my highlights (see pics) and pays such careful attention to what she's doing both with color and cutting. I went there before covid and saw Peter. Loved my haircut. Yesterday I went to see the new owner for a cut. Cried all the way home. After saying she was just going to shape it up, I left with almost no hair. I showed my husband the same photos I showed her. He said it looked nothing like any of them. I moved here two years ago afraid I wouldn't find a hair salon that I could trust to work with baby- fine hair. I walked in with hesitation, anxiety and concern that I was going to make a mistake being a walk in customer. My fine hair was extremely damaged by the ponytail I am required to wear at work, so I went in ready to face the reality that I needed to go to a short cut. Thankfully, I was introduced to Veronica! She had a calming personality and half way through the cut I knew I could trust her. Her choice for shape and style had won me over! Her application of highlights were excellent. I walked in, no one seemed to be interested in the fact that I was there. And everyone spoke in Portuguese (I think) I just know it wasn't English, then finally, a guy looked at me, asked if he could help me, I explained I wanted a hair cut, then they all started talking in whatever language it was, then he says can you come back in an hour.. I said yes, I walked out and thought to myself, yeah, nope, not even almost. They couldn't care a less, and even if I did go back, there was too much of a language barrier for me to feel comfortable. I've now been to Veronica a few times and each time leave so happy! She's done cuts, styling and highlights. STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS! After being a customer for a over a year, I tried to make my monthly appointment. I called over 2 times a day for 2 weeks and left numerous voicemails with no luck. I was in the area and stopped by to see what was going on. The rude management told me that my hair dresser might not be seeing men anymore and they would call me back the following day. After not hearing back from them and calling everyday to get a update I stopped by again. This is when the management told me get lost and that I needed to find another hair dresser. I understand that salons sometimes stop taking male appointments, what I don't understand is why they couldn't of just answered the phone or just told me instead of wasting my time and being incredibly rude. I was a great customer who tipped over 40% every time but they could care less. I highly advise anyone to stay away from this place, because at the end of the day, they don't really care about their customers. read more

Moving from Virginia Beach to Palm Coast with a long overdue hair appointment needed, I stopped in Moda Salon to inquire about pricing. I met with Peter who took a moment to check my hair and he advised me on pricing. I made and appointment while was there. I am very particular about my hair and when I left the salon wondering did I make a mistake. When I got home I check the salon's reviews and after reading most of them, I felt I had made a good decision. Today, I had my appointment with Peter and from the moment I sat in the chair I felt that this was a good thing. He worked his magic with the color, suggested I hold off on the highlights for now which was the best decision ever. After the shampoo which was totally relaxing, Peter continued to show me his artistic ability in cutting hair.
