I was in Palm Coast visiting and well here I ran an update on my pc. Something went wrong during…read morethe update and my computer would no longer reboot nor give me access to anything. I search for a computer repair shop. I found my computer man. I called at 6:15 p.m. which was pretty late. Kevin called back within 10 minutes. He immediately went into solution mode. Over the phone! I was calling to find out where he was located and when I could come by the next day with my computer. But he wanted to try something over the phone to see if I could somehow get into the computer again. Unfortunately it did not work. He told me what was likely the issue and my options. He could have told me to come in and bring my PC and he could have tried to remove the hard drive and move my data over to another machine, etc. But he was very honest and said at this point, given the issue and the fact that the PC was over 5 years old the best thing to do would be to get a new PC. Honesty! I was very thankful to have reached Kevin. I feel like I got straight answers. He was friendly, showed concern, and was quick to call me back. Thank you Kevin! Receive a call from my bank that someone tried to transfer $2500 out of one of my accounts. Made a call to My Computer Man he was here in last then 4 hours and within 10 min. he found I had been hacked and someone else had control of computer, my accounts, my e-mail, all my passwords. The hack job was due to a stupid thing I did. Ninety minutes later Kevin had me back in control, passwords changed on all major accounts, and receiving all my new and old e-mails. Everything back to normal in way less then 2 hours. This is not the first that Kevin and his team have worked miracles for me. THANKS KEVIN!!!!

I brought my HP laptop in for service as the screen inexplicably went dark one evening. I was able…read moreto get video from the on-board HDMI, so I knew the issue had to be isolated to the LCD. ECG quickly diagnosed my issue as a short circuit in a ribbon cable from the motherboard to the LCD. This essentially "fried" the screen. It was an issue that just comes about from opening and closing the screen, and I was unlucky enough for the odds to eventually "favor" my laptop. The repair was quick (less than a week to diagnose, order, receive, and install the part). ECG even seemed to optimize my startup, as the laptop seems to start up faster than it did previously, so that was a nice bonus. The final bill was about 30% UNDER the quoted estimate at drop-off, so how can anyone argue with that? Hopefully I won't need their services again anytime soon, but if I do, I plan on revisiting this "garage". :)

My MacBook had a damaged hinge and Apple had quoted me $600 to replace the entire screen, because,…read morenaturally, it wasn't covered in the warranty. (I had caused the very! light! damage myself). Kyle (the owner) offered to replace the screen for less than Apple would charge, but ended up finding a different solution that cost me around $100 and 1-2 hours of work for him. He was straightforward with his pricing and the small risk of the repair, and took the time to answer all my questions. He even cleaned my screen. (Note: A repair of your Mac may void your Apple warranty. Mine had expired by the time I came to this shop.) Hundreds less than the Apple cost and not being without my work computer for a week was a huge blessing. I prefer to support small businesses, and I definitely recommend this shop!
