I just had my wedding yesterday (6/16) and it was scorching hot (in the 90s). Maria is so good that makeup held up against the heat!!! Maria really loves what she does, and she gets just as excited as the bride which honestly makes the whole experience that much better. She and her assistant are fantastic at hair (we all did updos) and makeup. We each had our own styles and thoughts and she did whatever she could to make it happen, even with our flower girls. The makeup application was flawless and gorgeous. I truly felt like a princess! Maria did my hair and makeup for my recent wedding. She made me look and feel like royalty. A few weeks before the wedding, I went in for my trial and she worked through a few looks with me until we found one I loved. It was important to her that I loved the way I looked, and that I felt comfortable. It made me really happy to work with someone who cared so much about my comfort. Some vendors I worked with increased my stress level while Maria did exactly the opposite--once I had met her, I knew I could put any worries about hair and makeup out of my mind. She took care of everything. On the wedding day, Maria and her assistant came to my parents' house and did hair and makeup for me, 5 bridesmaids, and my mom. They were very prompt and worked continuously so we were finished ahead of schedule. Everyone looked wonderful and we got endless compliments all night. I sent an email to find out if they would be available for my wedding day...waited 6 days and still hadn't heard back. I asked my sister to send a DM on instagram for me (because I don't have instagram). Their account followed her within 5 minutes, but never responded. I gave them 24 hours to respond to that, still nothing. I then called their phone number, still trying to give them a chance, but no one answered and their mailbox was full, so I couldn't even leave a message. I have not one negative word to say about Maria and the incredible work they did for my sisters wedding this weekend. Maria worked with me to book later than I should've booked hair and makeup, worked with what we each wanted, and made us all look gorgeous in the end! They came to our rental house right on time to get the whole bridal party ready and it really didn't take long at all. Maria had made a schedule in advance so that we could tell people to come at a specific time instead of waiting around and deciding who would be going later on. She brought everything she could possibly need to do our hair and makeup so we didn't have to worry about anything. We each felt like ourselves when it was all done, which I really appreciate. It was wonderful working with Maria. She's not just an extremely talented hair and makeup artist, she's also a calming and caring presence who truly wants to make her brides and their people happy. She's so passionate about her work and loves what she does. She's flexible, communicative, and understanding. My mother-in-law decided two days before the wedding (after Maria had already made our hair and makeup schedule several days prior) that she wanted her hair and makeup done as well. Maria made it work and acted like it was no big deal even though it felt like a big deal to me. Maria & her girls were an absolute DREAM TEAM!!! From first conversation to final product, Maria was an amazing partner on my wedding day. My hair and makeup both looked AMAZING (I wish I could attach pictures) and so did the rest of the girls. Some of my girls were particular about what they wanted (some like the natural look, some like very dark makeup) and Maria's team could accomplish it ALL! Not only are they amazing at what they do, they are truly kind, genuine people. Maria treated me like a princess - she took care of me from start to finish. She was patient when I changed what I wanted with my hair three times. She did my moms, mother of the grooms, and Grandmother's hair & makeup and they were so respectful to all of them. On the morning of my wedding, Jennifer and pia came to my venue in wheeling to provide hair and makeup services. Unfortunately, my experience was not good and am very unsatisfied with the services provided. Both of the artists were rude to my bridesmaids and my mother and there was no time management. Because of this, I was late for the first look pictures and had so little time to take family photos that attendees were arriving at the venue while we were standing out front taking the pictures. I wish the makeup and hair artist would have managed time more efficiently to ensure I was ready for pictures that were supposed to be taken before the ceremony. Both Jennifer and pia had bad attitudes toward my bridesmaids and mother and did not bring the touch up kit that I was supposed to get to keep my makeup on throughout the wedding. I also received several complaints from my bridesmaids complaining that the workers were begging for tips and I was charged an extra $340.00 which was eventually voided due to being overcharged for services. I was really hoping to have a better experience for my wedding and would not choose these providers again. read more
