Jaycie was an absolute joy to work with on my wedding day! I received a recommendation for Jaycie from my photographer and it was the best decision I made. During the makeup and hair trial Jaycie helped me determine the best hair style and makeup for my big day, and then recreated it on my wedding this August. She made adjustments to ensure everything matched my skin tone, and would stay with the warm weather. Jaycie made me feel absolutely beautiful, along with all of my bridesmaids. She has a true talent and I would recommend her to any bride getting married in Chicago. read more

It has been a pleasure to work with Jaycie! She is extremely professional, prompt on communication and most importantly is very skilled. I booked Jaycie to do my hair and makeup for my wedding as well as makeup for my bridesmaids. She exceeded mine and my bridesmaids expectations. I must also note that I ended up changing my hairstyle from the one during our trail, but she nailed it and I'm so happy I decided on the change. I hope this review eases everyone's mind to book Jaycie! -Tara read more

This review is long overdue, but I will recommend Jaycie to anyone and everyone. After doing a lot of research for my 10/23/21 wedding, I found her and I'm so happy she was able to do my hair and makeup for the best day of my life. She was so sweet and kind, and she knows exactly what she's doing--she knew what colors were best for my eyes and lips, what to do with my hair, everything. I felt like a princess on my wedding day thanks to her. Highly recommend booking Jaycie for your big day, and also recommend a trial so you know exactly what you want! read more

Jaycie is such a DREAM to work with. She is just the sweetest human ever! I hired her to do hair for my wedding and she really knocked it out of the park. We showed her pictures to give her an idea of what we wanted and described what I was going for and she nailed it every time! My hair was especially a concern since I shaved my head a year and a half ago so I have very very short hair. The hair style I wanted was for medium to long hair so I had low expectations at the trial but WOW...SHE ACHIEVED THE LOOK! WITHOUT EXTENSIONS! I mean, obviously my bangs were shorter than the picture I provided but she actually pulled it off! People even thought I had extensions in!! Jaycie is a miracle worker and if you don't hire her, you're just wrong. Like wrong for everything. read more

Jaycie did a remarkable job during a VERY strange wedding season. The trial was great, we talked through the changes that I would want on the wedding day and she made me feel so confident and comfortable knowing that my makeup would look perfect. She communicated her needs as it related to the pandemic and because we are a respectful group, it was a breeze. It was so nice to have someone upbeat, fun, talented and concise in all aspects of her business. My makeup was exactly what I wanted and my 2 bridesmaids still rave about how they wish they could replicate their look daily! Thank you Jaycie, you're a rockstar. read more

Jaycie is responsive, responsible and incredibly talented. We hired Jaycie for my bridal hair and makeup during Aug 2020 for a small elopement. She also did my sisters, mother and grandmother's hair and makeup. She made us all feel incredibly safe and clean with her protocols and beautiful with her talents! She is calm and takes great care in achieving your desired look. The next time we have an event, we will be reaching out to her! read more

Jaycie did such an amazing job on my wedding day and named me the "boho princess" which then I had everyone call me at my wedding.. it just fit so perfect. She met all the needs of my grandma and mom because once they were all ready to go, they decided they needed a little added shimmer to their eyes and Jaycie was there to meet their requests. I wouldn't go with anyone else for my hair and makeup and blessed to have Jaycie as part of my big day.. thank you again for making me the true "boho princess" Love, Ash By the way.. we were all looking so LIT and our makeup was on fleek.. thanks beautiful! read more

Jaycie did my hair and makeup for myself and several members of my bridal party on my wedding day and did a fantastic job! She worked with me prior to the big day on a trial appt and really listened to what I wanted and made it come to life. She was on time and had some great ideas for some of the girls that weren't quite sure what they wanted to do with their hair/make-up. She even had lip-gloss that we were able purchase to use through-out the day. I loved my hair and make-up and couldn't have asked for more. I would highly recommend her to anyone getting married or just wanting to look extra special for a nice occasion. Thanks Jaycie! read more

Jaycie did a wonderful job for my wedding. Jaycie is very sweet and so easy to get along with. She worked with me at my trial to get the hair and make-up just right for the big day. On the day itself Jaycie and another artist, Tricia, were set up and ready to go on time. I did not have the pleasure of working with Tricia but everyone who came out of her chair looked amazing and everyone seemed very happy with their looks. On my wedding day my lip color didn't look quite right and after consulting the pictures we had from my trial Jaycie figured out what was different and was able to fix it quickly. I really appreciated her willingness to listen to my concerns day of and make little tweaks to make it perfect. Thanks Jaycie (and Tricia)! read more

Jaycie is literally THE BEST when it comes to bridal hair & makeup. She is so sweet and dedicated to making your day absolutely perfect. She listens, is so detail oriented, and confident in her ability to make a bride's vision come true. I couldn't recommend her more! read more

Jaycie was hired by my pr team to do the makeup on models for my photo shoot for my salon Scissor Happy Hair Studio (shameless plug). She was on time, cute, and had all her equipment. She did amazing transformations on all the models, male and female. She kinda ran with it since I didn't give her the ideas before hand. I've seen great things and she is again going to do the makeup at my next shoot in April. Highly recommended! read more

Jaycie is AH-MAZING! I used her for my wedding, engagement party and engagement photos and have been very happy every time! My bridesmaids and mom were also very happy with their makeup. She's very friendly yet professional and always prompt on timing and responses. I really enjoyed working the Jaycie and will continue to use her in the future! read more

Jaycie is incredible. She did my hair and makeup for my wedding and it turned out perfectly. I'm very picky about my hair and makeup but don't always know how to articulate the look I'm going for, and she somehow understood exactly what I wanted and executed perfectly. Not only is she amazing at her craft, she's so genuine, sweet and was so flexible when our plans changed due to covid. I can't recommend her enough. read more

Amazing!! Jaycie did the makeup for myself and 6 other ladies in my bridal party. And it was wonderful!! I can't say enough that if you're looking for someone to do your makeup for your wedding, look no further. She is fun and very easy to work with. She came to my house for a trial run. She made up a detailed schedule for the ladies. She came to the hotel where we were getting ready. She was flexible with timeline, and willing to work around other people who were getting their hair done as well. I don't tend to wear that much makeup on a daily basis, so I was worried I'd look "over done" on my wedding day. Jaycie did such an amazing job making me look beautiful and feel comfortable. I had flawless makeup that lasted all day and into a very fun (and dance floor sweaty) evening! I definitely give her my highest recommendation! Thank you Jaycie!! :) read more

Jaycie did my hair and make-up for my wedding, and I was beyond thrilled with everything. She was SO easy to work with, and we had such a great time, that I felt like I had a new girlfriend after the trial and day of the wedding. :) I recently got my pictures back, and my hair and make-up were exactly what I wanted. Jaycie was so thorough in making sure everything looked like I had imagined, and it turned out perfectly. She also did some other bridesmaids make-up, as well as my mom. My mom is an especially tough critic, and she absolutely loved the look that Jaycie was able to give her - very natural, but different from her everyday make-up. Jaycie also brought Lisa to do other's hair for the day, and Lisa was equally fantastic. All of my bridesmaids and my mom loved their hair for the day. Finally - I looked around a bit at other hair/make-up options, and Jaycie's prices are so competitive for the level of service you receive - I honestly wouldn't look elsewhere and would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone (and Lisa if you need two girls!) Thank you again, Jaycie and Lisa!! You really helped make the day perfect. :) read more

Working with Jaycie was one of my favorite parts of my wedding! She is so knowledgable and patient, and is an absolute pleasure to work with. I was not sure exactly what look I wanted to go for and Jaycie was able to guide me in the right direction without imposing her opinion. When I was not 100% sure about my look after the initial trial, Jaycie suggested a second trial and was not happy until I was 100% satisfied. On the day of the wedding, Jaycie and her team were prompt and professional and all my bridesmaids and family members were thrilled with their looks. I felt like I looked like the best version of myself, not over done at all. I would strongly recommend working with Jaycie and her team for any wedding or event! read more

Such natural beautiful hair and makeup by Jaycie and her team. They were so fun and easy to work with and did an amazing job. We were all so happy with how everything turned out. Especially in the midst of a pandemic, they did a great job and followed so many precautions to make us feel safe. Highly recommend! read more

I cannot say enough good things about Jaycie. She is an amazing makeup artist and I'm so grateful she was the one who did my bridal party and my makeup for my wedding. First of all, I was a little nervous since I was asking her to do a huge group (11 people plus myself) in a short amount of time. Jaycie came up with a schedule to fit my exact timing. She was able to be flexible when a few of my girls were running late, and still managed to make everyone look incredible. She was also a great sport when I asked her to stick around until my photographer showed up so I could get some shots of her doing make up. I was very nervous about having my makeup done because I'm very fair skinned and a lot of makeup artists tend to put on more make up then my skin tone can handle, and I end up looking like a little girl playing dress up. Jaycie listened to EXACTLY what I wanted and I have never felt prettier. She was so easy to work with and it honestly felt like you were chatting with an old friend. I cannot recommend her enough. read more

Jaycie was very flexible and extremely professional. She met me at the venue location on the day of and stayed a bit later. I did not get to do a trial run as I was tight on budget, but I showed her pictures of what I was leaning toward. She did two different styles, and I loved the second that she put together. She also did my makeup, which I was kind of nervous about. I wasn't sure if she had done makeup for asian complexions before and wary that it would come off too strong. In addition, I don't normally wear makeup so I wanted enough to look dressed up for the wedding but still myself. She was conscientious about making sure I felt comfortable with the look and that I was happy with what I saw in my reflection. Jaycie also took the same amount of care for my mother who was getting her hair and makeup done was well. Absolutely loved working with her and appreciated the care she took for me. read more

Jaycie is amazing. I found her on yelp and she came to my house, super duper pregnant, to make me look beautiful for my bridal shower. I'm already recommending her to my friends and everyone wanted to know who did my makeup! Thank you Jaycie! read more

I have never looked prettier than my wedding day, and mostly because the makeup. Jaycie is awesome. I don't normally wear makeup, but I wanted to wear some for my wedding without looking overly done-up or unnatural. She nailed it. And I was nervous that going more natural would mean I wouldn't look much different - oh my goodness, night and day difference. I got so many compliments about looking "glowing" or "radiant" and it was mostly the makeup :) Jaycie is also super friendly, professional, flexible - she was also really easy for us all to talk to as she worked, she fit right in our room full of bridesmaids. She's so great. Hire her, she's fantastic read more

Jaycie is the best! I've had my makeup and hair professionally done many times, but this was by far the best I have ever had it done! I loved it so much!! I've had lashes put on by many people and everyone always told me, for whatever reason my lashes just never "took" to the falsies. Even for my wedding, the makeup artist who we hired put on lashes that ended up falling off midway through the night. But Jaycie was such a pro- she put them on so quickly and so well- they stayed on for almost 2 days after the night I had gotten my hair and makeup done for! She is a true professional, wonderfully kind, and super at what she does. I can't say enough good things about her :) She will definitely be my "go-to" person for ANYTHING involving hair/makeup or anything of the like! Thanks so much!!!! read more

I hired Jaycie to do my makeup and hair for my bridal shower. She did a lovely job. My hair and make up were perfect. Jaycie listened to exactly what I wanted and I felt absolutely beautiful all day- I hated the idea of having to wash my face that night! We did airbrush make up and very subtle eye lashes. Loved it! I will definitely use her again for upcoming special events. read more

I wish I could give more than 5 stars! Jaycie is amazing to work with. My friend recommended her to me and I am so glad she did! Jaycie is very responsive and so flexible. Jaycie and her team really listened to me and my bridesmaids when it came to our hair and makeup wants and needs. I have some crazy skin allergies and Jaycie was so good about accommodating! I was indecisive about what to do with my hair and Jaycie helped me decide and it was exactly what I was looking for! She is so very sweet and super chill. She did not laugh or judge me when I cried tears of nerves and joy all day long!! LOL thank you Jaycie for making my wedding day dreams come true!! read more

Jaycie did makeup and hair for my wedding on 11/10/18. I cannot say enough positive things about her! From the start she was quick to reply, informative and professional. You'll notice on her website that she works in a variety of industries using her talent, she's more than qualified and has great examples of her work on Instagram. The consultation was so much fun! I went to her home and it was like hanging out with a friend, she's super friendly and easy to get along with. The actual product is amazing. I was so nervous about my bridal look and she by far exceeded my expectations. My sister actually said she loved her makeup more for my wedding than her own wedding makeup. Jaycie also brought an assistant who was just as great in all regards. Thank you Jaycie for being a part of our special day and making all of us feel/look wonderful! read more

i used Makeup By Jaycie for my Halloween wedding recently. Jaycie ended up doing a "Traditional Bride" look and then she came back to help me transform into my costume. The hair and her attention to make sure ever angle was exceptional and the makeup was stunning and lasted ALL DAY!! She ended up working on the entire bridal party. She was there on time and we were done ahead of schedule. Jaycie was so amazing to work with. She completely made me feel at ease and I recommend her for hair and makeup to everyone I meet. Jaycie did my makeup for my wedding and also the hair of my bridesmaids, mother-in-law, and aunt. Working with Jaycie was like inviting a known friend into my home--she makes the experience calm, comfortable, and enjoyable and she fit right in with all the girls there. I felt like I've known her forever--she is so easy to get along with! My husband usually hates when I get my makeup done and he absolutely loved what Jaycie did (he even asked if my eyelashes were real...haha). I've been in many other weddings and inevitably one or more of the girls getting their hair done usually does not like what they paid for and are in a scramble to fix it. The girls who had their hair done by Jaycie and Megan all absolutely loved their hair--they found a way to make 11 women happy with their hair/makeup...a real success! The day could not have gone more smoothly. I highly recommend Jaycie for her talent, professionalism, and awesome personality. You will not regret it! read more

My hair and makeup was absolutely perfect for my wedding day! From the first time I contacted Jaycie, she was responsive, helpful, caring and flexible with all the details. Makeup and hair by Jaycie was the PERFECT choice for my November 12, 2016 wedding! Jaycie and the girls she brought to help were professional, enthusiastic and fun. I had a trial several months before the wedding. I loved her work! Just before the big day I wanted to tweak my hair style and by simply discussing it with her the day of, she made all my requests come true and I couldn't have been happier with my look! My bridesmaids, mom and mother in law all looked phenomenal and we received so many compliments on everyone's looks! I highly recommend Jaycie for weddings if you are looking for a dedicated professional hair and makeup artist! read more

Jaycie did the hair and makeup for my entire bridal party this past august. I could not have been happier with the results! Everyone felt so beautiful and we all photographed beautifully! At the trial before the big day, Jaycie really listened to what I wanted and made suggestions. On the day of, both she and her partner were super prompt and a lot of fun to work with. They were definitely helpful in calming a few nerves! Jaycie is also really reasonably priced. I did a lot of research to avoid having my bridesmaids pay too much. Jaycie was comparable to a salon, but she comes to you, so you don't have to worry about getting back in time for pictures. Overall, I would recommend her very highly and would not hesitate to call her again for a special event. read more

Jaycie was a pleasure to work with! I am so happy I found her on yelp to do the make-up for my May 3 wedding. I'm 37, super pale and don't wear much make-up everyday. I was concerned about looking cake-y or wrinkly. Jaycie listened attentively to what I was looking for in my make-up including my concerns about my ridiculously sensitive skin. Jaycie was meticulous with me and all my three maids make-up - making sure everything was "just right" on my big day. She also did the make-up for my mother-in-law and she looked fabulous! We all looked dewy and youthful all night. The make-up and lashes stayed on until 2 AM! I can't thank her enough! read more

Jaycie was incredible! She did my hair and makeup along with 5 bridesmaids and the flower girl for my wedding. I had recently been in two of my sisters' weddings the previous year, and knew from those experiences that hair and makeup often take longer than expected. I was so surprised when we were finished ahead of schedule with plenty of time for pictures- and she made sure to check over every girl for any touchups or adjustments although none were needed. I have never felt so beautiful and I received so many compliments that night on my hair and makeup. I am still hearing from my guests now almost 3 weeks later about how great I looked for the wedding. My hair and makeup were perfect all night long. I honestly can't say enough about what a great job she did! She was so much fun to work with the day of, and she definitely put me at ease throughout the process. It was great having someone so laid back but on top of things for my wedding day. I have already recommended her to all of my friends!! read more

I worked with Jaycie on my wedding this past June. First off, she deserves much more than 5 stars. I would recommend her to anyone for any occasion requiring a little extra glam. She was absolutely wonderful to work with. She has one of the kindest hearts and truly wants her clients to love the look she creates. She is most concerned about how her client feels and making sure they feel like their most beautiful selves. I have never been someone that wore tons of makeup so it was really important to me to find an artist that listened to my vision and was able to create a very natural glow. Jaycie did just that. She never pressured me to wear more makeup and actually listened to what I wanted. My mom used her as well and to say she loved it would be an understatement. Everyone raved about how beautiful my mom looked. My mom was beyond thrilled with how talented Jaycie is and loved how she was able to bring out a glammed version of a natural glow. Aside from how talented she is professionally, personally she is one of the sweetest, kindest people that I know. I really enjoyed getting to know her during the last year and think she is absolutely fantastic. I can't say enough nice things about her, she's the best. She will be best decision you make throughout your wedding planning process ( or for any occasion). read more

The best! Jaycie had done the hair and makeup for a couple family weddings so I knew I wanted her for my 5/19/18 wedding and she was one of the first vendors I booked. She really takes the time to understand what brides are looking for and she nails it. I would definitely recommend Jaycie and can't wait to refer her for more weddings! read more

STOP LOOKING!!! If you go with Jaycie there is no need to work with anyone else. Jaycie did an amazing job with makeup on me and everyone in my bridal party. The makeup was FLAWLESS and it looked great the entire night. I had my trial run with Jaycie back in November and my friends kept saying how great the makeup looked. I had scheduled another makeup trial with another company and the makeup was awful after just an hour. Seriously, WORK WITH JAYCIE PEOPLE!! Jaycie showed up at our house the morning of the wedding bright and early and had her work cut out for her - a bride's hair and make up, the mother of the bride, and three bridesmaids, all by noon! She did a fantastic job. Everyone looked beautiful. The makeup photographed beautifully. The hair and makeup stayed looking fresh all day and into the night. She worked with my daughter (the bride) on two separate occasions to do a trial run of hair and makeup and had a very clear understanding of what my daughter wanted the day of the wedding. She was never frazzled or hurried and treated each person sitting in the chair like they were her only client. I cannot say enough good things about Jaycie.
