Wow! I am an oncology patient and have been seeing Dr. Z and Megan for over a year now. The Dana…read moreFarber Palliative Care team highly recommended Dr. Z and referred me to him. I was a person that grew up with fear of drugs (blame Nancy Reagan & Tipper Gore LOL), especially cannabis. Dr. Z and the NP Megan have explained the use of various cannabinoids and specific terpine profiles that I am FINALLY able to have some relief! I have been able to get some sleep at night, which is AMAZING after years of insomnia. I have learned about how to use the least amounts of THC and be able to function with less pain during the day-- This is what we are currently working on, and it's been eye opening. It's an incredible balance of science and art. I feel like they have taken the time to understand my specific situation, developed a plan, and based on our zoom conversations/appointments we have been able to figure out which strains/profiles have the best outcomes for specific situations/times. I don't want to feel HIGH, I want pain relief and to be able to eat properly. ECS Wellness -- Dr Z and Megan have made my life a much happier one. Trust the process, follow the plans, AND keep asking questions. They will get you the relief you need!!

Given how difficult it is to find a really great primary care physician, I'm surprised that there…read morearen't more reviews of them here. Five years ago I got my first grownup job in this area, and was presented with the enormous task of picking a new doctor. I had very little help as most of my friends were mostly accustomed to student health services, the essential but terrible health care of grad. students in any local university. Being unceremoniously presented with a phone book sized listing of providers from Blue Cross & Blue Shield provided nothing in the way of actual assistance in making a decision. I didn't choose Dr. Holt exactly randomly, but my criteria wasn't exactly scientific. I looked for listings that were: close to my apartment at the time, female, fairly young and with an American sounding name. In short somebody who I felt I could relate to and would feel comfortable asking questions of. I was more than willing to try multiple doctors until I found one that I could be comfortable with. As it turned out I didn't have to. I hit the jackpot on my first try with Dr. Holt. Dr. Holt is extremely thorough, taking actual time to have a conversation with me about medical concerns and also about general lifestyle choices. As a fairly healthy person I generally see her only 1-2 times a year, but she always appears to remember the conversations that we've had on previous visits. Her warmth and genuineness match the knowledge and skill she brings to her profession. Also, I don't want to over-share, but the ladies out there will understand the difficulty in finding a PCP who is willing to perform basic GYN care. Dr. Holt does both, and I love not having to keep two separate annual checkups. There's also a lab center on site. So convenient! I've had pretty good results in getting 'sick' appointment, never having to wait for more than 48 hours. However, I debated taking this review down a star because of how long it takes to make appointments for physicals or routine checkups. (Sometimes up to a month.) In the end I decided that all of the positives FAR outweigh this one minor issue.

I've been a patient of Dr Holt's for over 15 years now. I dread the day she retires and have to…read morefind a new primary care doctor, although that shouldn't be anytime soon! I hear stories about primary care doctors that rush, are impersonal, and don't leave the patient feeling like they matter. Dr. Holt couldn't be more opposite. She remembers all the details of not only my medical history, but my personal life as well. She listens to my concerns and creates treatment plans to address them. Three of my friends have become patients and rave about her too. If you can get in to see her, do it.

Been going here over 10 years, and my wife goes as well. There is a reason they keep expanding, and it is because they do a good job. I've never waited as long as others have said, and I always get an appointment rather than just walk in. They also have recommended me to outside experts when needed who have been very helpful.

They are great! Until you actually have a medical crisis. They claim to have an urgent care center,…read morebut if you try to go there, they tell you to go to the hospital ER. They would rather you go to the ER during the rising pandemic... I digress. Do the other things they want me to do. Nope, not good enough. Treated like a malingerer, no sympathy or offer to help. Just - "You faker! You took ONE WHOLE MG instead the .5 you were prescribed! You disobeyed my instructions! Of course you ran out early! No, you can't refill your prescription four days early, and no, we will not discuss why .5 once a day seems to not be sufficient (even though the general dosage is 1mg twice a day, or .5mg twice a day) or why a nurse practitioner said this prescription wasn't even therapeutic, you can't have any more, just go suffer. "And let's sign a contract that I will prescribe and you will take it as prescribed." Like I am a teenager signing a drinking contract with my mom. Get out here. That's what the instructions on the bottle are. So, if the lowest dose of .5mg doesn't help I just have to suffer until...I can reach you and get an appointment so you can say - no, you can't take a whole mg? Even though everywhere says 1 mg is appropriate. Do they like to see people suffer, or is Ritvo on some power trip that she would deny medication to someone suffering as punishment because they disobeyed her orders? Under the guise of "safety." When you are prescribing under the recommended dose and your patient is suffering AND running out early, you just...do nothing. What is this some sort of test: Will patient suffer at the alter of my instructions, rather than defy them? Reach out for help. But not here! They just make up whatever they want and don't care about helping patients.
