For $95, Cyan cut off 3 inches as opposed to the .5 (yes HALF) an inch that I requested. I asked for just a trim and clean up my long layers. The haircut is choppy, totally uneven, when I put it in a ponytail (which is pretty much all the time in summer!) there's one random strand dangling out that looks totally ridiculous. This was one of the biggest wastes of money ever. I could have gotten a better haircut for $25 at a beauty school.

I saw that alot of the staff was very young so I went through them all one by one, and having been burned in the past at other salons I chose Bella since she was clearly older, and the owner of the salon. When I arrived she came and greeted me after a few minutes and then told me to hold on. She only had told me Hello and then left. A different person came and got me a minute later. We did a small consultation of what I was looking for and honestly the whole time I was confused. I knew this didn't look like the picture of the person I had booked nor the correct age but I thought maybe Bella was running late and she would come in after, although nothing was said to me in anyway. I also thought maybe she is Bella and I had messed up when I booked. When she started washing my hair she asked my name and I told her, and then asked hers and she told me she was Kaitlin. I mentioned that I was pretty sure I booked with Bella and she told me, yes you did but she's taking longer than she thought and so she put you on me instead. I was a little taken aback, but she said I'm really good! I cut Bella's hair! Based off the fact that NOONE has asked me if this was okay or if I wanted to wait for Bella or reschedule I was already pretty upset but my hair was soaking wet, and it was 20 degrees out so I didn't really feel like I could walk out. I decided to give this girl a chance because at this point I was a little stuck and I really didn't want to offend her. But had it been explained to me ahead of time, I would have rescheduled. I asked for curtain bangs to hide a patch in my hairline and volume. I also asked for a side part. Later when I realized my hair didn't look right I looked up curtain bangs and discovered you can't get them with a side part, so she gave me side bangs, which in all fairness I asked for a side part, but I'm not an expert and she should have explained it would no longer be curtain bangs. She gave me as much volume as my hair would allow, and did most of the cut on dry straight hair even though my hair is permed so that's not its natural state. I didn't think of that at the time, but she should have. Before I left Bella did come over and apologize, when, ya know, it was way too late for me to make a difference choice. When I left there Kaitlin had given me a lot of volume, I told her it wouldn't hold but that I loved volume and she delivered. However the moment I get home and all the volume was gone, it didn't look good anymore, and once I washed it, the bangs are awful with my normal hair texture. I would go someplace else to have them fixed but they're too short so I will have to wait till they grow out. Lastly they ONLY accept cash but continently have an atm in the salon. The reason I call that convienent is that it's a common thing people do to scam their customers out of extra money. The fees associated with the atm always go to the owner of the establishment so they usually charge cash to force you to use it, and don't warn you before you come in. It also doesn't state it ANYWHERE on their site so that must be exactly what she is doing. It's not the first place I've dealt with that only deals in cash. Makes it easier for them to declare what they choose on taxes as well, but usually they give a heads up.

My experience at Amanda's salon was probably the most traumatizing hair experience I've ever had…read more In March 2022, Amanda burned the entire top layer of my hair off with bleach. Not only did she burn it off, but she never ever took accountability. Instead, she made me feel as if the accident was my fault, blaming the result on a product that I used on my hair. Every hair professional I have seen after her has been completely shocked with her result, pointing out her incompetence and dismissive attitude to the situation. Initially she even charged me for the service which was later refunded after much discussion. The whole situation completely devastated me. It has been two years and my hair is still recovering. I have spent over $3,000 in maintenance and care trying to rebuild the strength of my hair. Most devastating of all, my curls haven't returned to the state they once were in prior to the accident. I'm voicing this because I don't ever want this to happen to anyone again. Amanda was incredibly unprofessional, evasive, and obstinate. Never once did I receive an apology. Mistakes happen, but this situation was one that should've been handled a lot differently.

Brittany, the esthetician, is simply a-ma-zing. Seriously. I'm a raving fan. Some people are just born into their craft and if this is the case, Brittany is among those who are a natural at providing a truly relaxing facial. When I started seeing Brittany, her facial services were just the basic relaxing, cleansing facial, and an option of the hydrojelly mask. These are enough because the real magic happens when she works on me. I always feel so relaxed and refreshed after a visit. I simply melt when I am under her care. No kidding. Brittany is very respectful of her client's time. She is pleasant but she doesn't talk through the service. She is sensitive to her client and knows when to engage in small talk and when to just listen. The first time I went to see her, I don't even know when it happened, but I fell asleep. Yep. That good. Don't be fooled, though, she does the facial job well. I can feel her doing a good job at extractions. Not heavy handed. Some treatments I have had, either the extractions were painful or there was really none happening at all. Finally, Brittany is very responsive, accommodating, and sincerely appreciative of the business. She is not out to nickel and dime you or to demand a huge gratuity. My experience tells me she is really working on gaining customer loyalty and that's what I have been giving this place. For the above reasons, I am a loyal, happy, repeat customer. I go usually after work as she gives me the unwinding and energizing treatment I need. I live 24+ minutes away from here but it doesn't even matter. I go! Such a treat. She just introduced a list of facial services that are so tempting, I immediately tried the "Mind, Body, Skin" and I did not regret. Looking to try the rest! Oh, and did I mention inexpensive? Jackpot!

After some recommendations I ended up at Salon De Moda. And boy am I glad I did ! They are open late during the week and have Saturday appointments for those of us who have to work until five or later. My appointment was for two and I was greeted and seated right then. Why make an appointment if I have to wait ? No waiting here. The salon is super clean and very inviting. The workstations look like tool boxes and they have all kinds of neat decor. I was entertained just looking around. Onto the hair experience, I was taken care of by Tanya who is also the owner. What a lovely woman. She did a consultation first which and advised me on what to do to make My hair look full but not have to get it done all the time. I was there for an hour and a half in which my hair was cut and highlighted. This is an hour less Than I've spent at other salons. I was offered a drink which is nice when your just sitting around waiting for color to set. The other stylists are friendly also and every one that walked by said hello and chatted with me for a bit. What a great experience. I can't talk price since it differs for everyone depending on what you have done and kind of hair you have but I can tell you it was reasonable. I love my hair. I would highly recommend going there if your looking for a Hairdresser. Tanya was awesome and I will see her again but I'm sure the other stylist are just as great.
