First time here and we loved it. Cocktails to apps and the main course. We ordered crab cakes which where cooked great and a cup of some of the best gumbo I've had in a long time. We shared Thierry Bea Vine 24oz Ribeye they called their Cadillac of steaks. Didn't disappoint. Cooked perfectly to medium rare like we wanted. Came here to celebrate my daughter's birthday at brunch. We had reservations at 1:00 and arrived on time. We anticipated a nice relaxing brunch and a couple of people in our group ordered bottomless mimosa's. We were enjoying the meal and the food and service was good but when we tried to get refills on our "endless" mimosa's we were informed in a not so pleasant way that the bar closed at 1:45 and no exceptions were to be made. Never did I think that Ruston,LA would have a restaurant like Beau Vines. The food is a 10/10 one of the best steaks I have had. The service is absolutely unmatched. Justin was our Waiter and he made the meal extra special as did the 3 ladies in the front of the house. They are extremely attentive and want you to have an amazing experience. Best Steak House in Ruston! Unbelievable cuts of beef, slow cooked, well seasoned, so tender you could cut it with a butter knife. Menu offered something for everyone and it all looked delicious. I really enjoyed the Shrimp Cocktail Martini- Jumbo Fried Shrimp along the rim of a giant martini glass filled with cocktail sauce. On our travel through Louisiana, we stopped for dinner late 2020. We had a fine meal. The past few months, we have arrived late on Sunday, when they are only opened for brunch. Last Monday when we arrived, we were delighted to be able to return. The steak, a 16 oz ribeye my husband and I shared, was tender, nicely seasoned and perfectly prepared. Traveling from Austin Texas back to Acworth Georgia and we decided to stop in Ruston Louisiana. Checked in not the hotel did s quick look on Yelp and headed to a seafood restaurant, it was closed so we stopped by the Beau Vines Steakhouse. Walked in and the young ladies were so nice. Got seated and Emily took care of us, she was so sweet and right on point with the way she took care of us. The food was amazing, we just ate appetizers because it was late, we had, blackened alligator, crab cakes, margarita shrimp and Ahi Tuna so good! Then for dessert we had the Oreo something and it just hit the spot. Will stop here again when traveling between GA and TX. Thank you for a great dinner! read more

My wife and I are new to the area and chose to try this place out thanks to the good reviews, and since we saw the owner relying to reviews we assumed they care about the business. The atmosphere is fantastic. Very nice but we were comfortable in casual date night clothing. Very cool open grill just off the main dining area. It was fun watching the chef manage the grill with ease. Appetizers: we had the pork belly app and the crab cakes. Both were fantastic! Nice glaze on the pork belly that was the perfect amount of sweetness and acid to cut the fatty pork belly. The crab cakes were nicely cooked and beautifully plated. Main course: my wife and I shared a ribeye - ordered medium and delivered to us perfectly medium! I'm still not sure what the seasoning or marinade in the steak was... but it was delicious!! Quality cut of meat cooked to perfection. For a side we had green beans wrapped in bacon which are also in the brown sugar glaze. Pretty sure this should be the only way to eat green beans from here on out! Dessert: we were too full to order dessert, but our waitress surprised us with Oreo beignets and a to-go box, since she knew we were celebrating a new pregnancy. Again, another delicious course and after taking one bite we suddenly found room and had no need of the to go box. Service: our server did an excellent job! Attentive but not over bearing. My girlfriend found this place and we went. We started with the alligator bites which honestly we could've ate as an entire meal how good they were. They lasted probably a good 10 seconds before we had ate them all. Once our entrees got there, she had the ribeye and I had the Mahi. I tried her steak and it tasted great. The Mahi was great as well. We ended with a Creme Brulee and it was delicious. I didn't have any of their alcohols at the time because of my age but I'm definitely sure to go back once it opens up. The staff had no issues and were fairly cordial the entire time. I forgot our waiter's name as it's been a while but I do remember he was a nice guy. I didn't feel pressured at all to order and they made it clear you have time to choose. It was a very busy night but that didn't stop them at all. Overall a great experience read more

A group of friends and myself ate at Beau Vines in Ruston this past week. It is a little difficult to find the driveway to enter the restaurant because it isn't well-lit and is somewhat outdated in my opinion. It gives you the feeling that you're in a house that has been made into a restaurant. It is unique in that you can watch the cook make the meats on a huge Grill that is in the corner of the dining room. The food is very good and the service is great too. The only complaint other than the outdated feel was the prices. They were in my opinion roughly $6 too high on most everything when compared to other similar restaurants that I have ate at in the southeast. If this was some fancy restaurant with a nice exterior and dining room and a well-lit parking lot in a prime location I could completely understand the prices but that was not the case here. Our server was very attentive and took care of us. Either a manager or possible owner also checked on us to make sure we enjoyed our meal as well. I ordered a 6 oz filet mignon that cost $27 which came with a baked potato. Salads were extra and we also tried a couple appetizers. We ate the grilled and blackened alligator which was very good and if I was to eat it with my eyes closed would have thought it was steak. I've eaten fried Gator tail numerous times, but the grilled and blackened Gator was delicious. So overall I give it 4 out of 5 Stars based on quality of food and service, but deducted a star for a little higher prices and an older outdated building. Would I recommended it, yes, but I think there are better values at other places in Ruston for similar food read more

Paying dearly for good tasting food is one thing but paying dearly for bland food doesn't make sense. Dinner here a week ago. Seated immediately. Staff was freindly and attentive. Menu is mix of usual steak house items and local dishes. Atmosphere was dark but warm and inviting. Ordered berry salad and crawfish etouffee. The etouffee had a stew/soup consistency and medium spice. Delicious. Lots of berries on salad. Also delicious and both well presented. This is a young restaurant on the rise! The staff is very nice and respectful. The menu is lacking but I am sure it will be improved as this young establishment finds itself. Not willing to lie, I heard a rumor this place served "dolphin steak". The food enthusiast in me immediately made plans to drive the hour or so to try this restaurant as soon as possible, all the while my excitement was building. Upon arriving I was informed my source (my coworker) had been incorrect. They DO serve dolphin fish steak which is commonly called Mahi Mahi. After debating on leaving, me and my companion ordered drinks (the Banana Foster Martini) and the calamari while we made up our minds. Both of which where exceptional and enticed us to stay for the whole meal. And, in total honesty, it was the best meal I've had in my life. We both ordered the 12 oz. Rib eye and it was a transcendental experience. The meat was flavorful, cooked perfectly, and from our table we watched it being cooked! We followed with these amazing oreo beignets given complimentary from the owner after hearing about our dolphin steak debacle. After filling ourselves with amazing food, I couldn't even remember why I was upset when I had first arrived. I asked my companion ,after we complimented our sweet and speedy server Emily, and waited for our checks what he thought was the worst part of the Beau Vines experience? "Leaving." Yes, I believe that sums up the experience perfectly. The worst part of coming to Beau Vines is making yourself leave. I hope everyone makes it a definite stop on their culinary escapades in the Ruston area. It's BEYOND worth the trip. read more
