    Purple tortilla chips and guacamole

Flavorful food and generous helpings, this was a great find while walking through Navy Pier. Jerk pork and chicken fajita taco (one each), chorizo empanada, chips and guacamole. The Guac was high quality with flavor and chunks, the sides of salsa were spicy. Loved this lunch stop!

Tried a birria taco at the taste of Chicago and the beef was not tender and the taco was on the colder side. Still got the taste of birria but I've definitely had better. Would love to go back in person to the restaurant and see if the birria is good in store

I just came to Beat Kitchen for a quick snack! There's a lot of chain restaurants in Navy pier so I wanted something different. I ordered the smoked pork belly taco. It took awhile to receive it. I only have a couple in front of me. It was good, but I thought there was much toppings! It overpowered the meat. I still ate the whole thing so it was still good! The alcoholic drinks are great here: they have a good variety. I think it is pretty expensive here... but everything is expensive in navy pier!

Super delicious food and it came out pretty quickly. Staff were very nice. It's at the Pier, so you just get your food and sit wherever there's a place. Overall very satisfied with the taste of the food and drink.

Beat kitchen is such nice place to grab quick drinks and food by the riverwalk. The vibe is very lit during the summers. They have a decent collection of beers. I like the food too. The Thai pizza is very interesting. The goat cheese pizza is an interesting take on a typical caprese pizza. They have tons of seating and small tables laid around the riverwalk. You would almost always find a place to sit. The service is typically fast but can get slow during rush hour. Overall, this is a nice casual place to hangout with your friends during summer and fall.

Veggie empanadas: delicious, creamy sans cream, mushroomy -- YUM! And the iced-lime-with-salt margaritas are great, too! I loved hanging around Beat Kitchen "back in the day," and living near Navy Pier lately, I love knowing about these DELICIOUS veggie empanadas! Bonnie, seen here also, loved her small bite, too. And they were kind enough to provide me with a short water-in-cup for her, too, which was awesome. Great experience!

    Purple tortilla

The four stars are for sure for the cute purple tortillas.(three stars would be more accurate.) The service was okay nothing special , a walk-up in a food hall. You can watch the cooks prepare right in front of you. The Thai shrimp taco is Spicey but so good. The chicken fajita taco and the guacamole was just okay . It lacked flavor. However the margarita made up for it ! The tacos and the purple chips made it all worth a try.

Steak taco, pork belly taco & purple chip comes with a delicious guacamole (sorry didn't get pic).

If you going to Navy Pier and want eat something different you must try Beat Kitchen Cantina! Food tastes delicious and serve hot. Staff was very professional and price are very good for Navy Pier. You can sit inside and enjoy the view of take your meal outside. Don't forget to order your frozen daiquiris and their homemade Horchata!

    Jerk Pork Taco

The people here were so nice! I didn't know what I wanted, when I walked up all I knew is I wanted tacos. The lady at the counter told me the Jerk Pork was her favorite, I trusted her and did not regret it at all! From $6.50 the taco had a ton of flavor and a good amount of filling. It definitely hit the spot! And yes $6.50 for each taco is a little high, but the flavor and amount make up for that. Plus! It's right on Navy Pier so what do you expect. In terms of the place, it's inside on the Navy Pier so it's not a sit down place or anything, really just a kitchen and counter to order and the pick up, so if you are looking for sit down this won't be for you but if you just want a quick bite I'd recommend!

    Lobster roll

Good food. Lobster roll and the soft crab tacos were good. Lobster roll was the better of the two. Only thing that really pissed me off was the "credit card surcharge". They added 4% before the 11.25% tax the navy pier has. If I was told it would have been better. Pay cash don't give them their bs fee it should be part of the meal cost. Would have been a 4.5 if not for the surcharge without being told.

I could taste the blandness of the chicken in my taco under a layer of pico and cheese. One of the worst tacos i have ever had.

They truly go above and beyond to make sure they deliver great customer service. They'll do little things like offer you a free taco of their Birria while you wait for your food. Go to any market in Mexico and they'll treat you the exact same. Unfortunately for them their original Southside location is closed due to a fire but they'll be back hopefully soon! My son and daughter both ordered their Birria Tacos, my wife ordered their Quesabirria tacos and I ordered their Tazon Chico of their carnaza Birria of course. It also came with a side of their handmade tortillas. Everything tasted so fresh and the Birria was very delicious. So much flavor in the consome. Ordering the tazon is definitely they way to go here because you get the meat in the consome. But if you wanted meat only, you have the option of ordering their plato instead. Regardless of what you order here, you won't go wrong. Enjoy!

In a way it felt like a makeshift restaurant with an urban warehouse vibe, big colorful signage on the walls, folding chairs and card tables make up the interior. It was very busy, almost every seat taken and the staff was running around taking orders with a smile delivering food and seemed to be having fun too. This is the kind of ENERGY I love!! There is a separate bar for drinks. The juices are freshly made in house, the horchata was highly recommended and apparently always sells out. I might have gotten the last glass of the night, the guy who ordered right after me couldn't get it. My quesoburrias and chicken quesadilla were very filling, and honestly I didn't need to order three, I left overstuffed haha... the waiter says I should try the shrimp tacos and cod next time. (Yelp tip:) He also told me that on Tuesdays from open til close it's BOGO on all tacos but there's always a line. Oh I'm definitely going to be back for this! Might be one of my most enjoyable meals in the city in 2026 so far!
