I came here around 2am and couldn't have been more happier with my experience. The lady at the front was so kind and catered to all of our needs. It's fast casual, so you can take your food to go or even sit inside. The tacos are BOMB!! I got carne asada tacos and it comes with the meat, cheese, onion and cilantro on a tortilla. Both of the salsas were also soo good. Honestly a good thing I don't live in Chicago or I'd be here everyday!!! 10/10 would recommend.

Decent tacos, nothing crazy and maybe a tad overpriced. Ordered three chorizo tacos which comes with cilantro, diced onions, and cheese. The place has enough seating and is relatively clean. A little out of the way for me to come back, but have seen it several times so wanted to give it a try when I could.

Love Big Wig Tacos I keep coming back because of their tacos, drinks, and sides. I'm obsessed with the steak, Mahi Mahi, and Barbacoa tacos. I get mine with no cheese, just cilantro and onions--simple, fresh, and SO flavorful. Pair them with the green sauce or their new avocado, cilantro, lime sauce (an absolute hit)! Their new strawberry horchata is a must-try. It's creamy, sweet, and gives major strawberry milk vibes, but with that horchata twist The rice and beans are perfection, and the guacamole with chips is fresh and satisfying every time. They're open until 5 AM, making it the perfect late-night bite. Parking, though... let's just say it's a gamble. Have someone wait in the car or stick to pick-up (their indoor seating is an option if you're lucky enough to snag parking). Oh the staff is always sooo friendly and keep the establishment clean. They individually wrap the tacos and I was hungry so will post the tacos on my next visit. The meat is really tender in my opinion for the steak tacos. Overall, Big Wig Tacos delivers every time with bold flavors and quality food. Whether it's dinner or a post-night-out feast, this spot has you covered

Nicole the manager making a transaction after we were told only online orders are being placed.

1 Star - Disrespectful and Discriminatory Treatment I came with my two cousins to order tacos and was immediately greeted at the door by two officers and a manager named Nicole. She informed us that only online orders were being accepted. We respected that and began walking back to the car. However, just moments later, Nicole allowed two Caucasian girls to enter and place their orders in person. I walked back to the door to politely ask why they were being served while we were turned away, and Nicole completely ignored me. I even recorded her taking their order after we were denied entry. This review is to say: go where your money is respected. I've worked in the food industry for over 10 years, and my aunt owns a restaurant -- we would never treat customers this way or show favoritism. This was a terrible experience and completely unacceptable behavior from management. Do better. 1 star.

Customer service is amazing, always welcoming and patient when ordering. Now those taco...DELICIOUS, AMAZING, meat seasoned perfectly and not skimpy with the protein (we only get cilantro & cheese because we usually have leftovers because we are so full and it's easier to warm up). Plenty of seating and always clean. Open until 4am

I did an online order on Thursday and everything was seamless. Their tacos are delicious and hearty with lots of options for ingredients. The food is priced right but if you want extra anything you will have to pay. I will return for the bowl. I want to build my own masterpiece!

It was a long wait but worth it. I definitely would stop by if I'm in the area again.

I must admit that I had low expectations because quite frankly, I have not enjoyed Mexican food outside of Mexico or California. However, we were hungry, and it was near where we were staying, so I decided we should check it out, and I am so glad we did! The food was great. Both adults and the VERY picky children in our group all enjoyed our meals. I ordered the green chicken enchiladas and the other adult ordered a chile relleno combo, which I also got to try. Everything was delicious and devoured by all! We were so full but the owner talked us into the chocoflan, and we did not regret trying it. It was soooo good! Speaking of the owner, the service was great. We really enjoyed how he and the rest of the staff were very courteous. It is a small establishment, and it gets a good amount of people, so I assume that there are waits during peak hours. I highly recommend Sabroso! And we plan to return the next time we are in the area.

Appetizers were quac and chips, and shrimp ceviche. The guac was really good, but the ceviche was the star. Served on a bed of cucumbers, it was visually beautiful, and the flavor was fresh and complex. There was also a LOT of it. We ended up taking some home. Entrees were steak and shrimp for me, and Tampiquena for my friend. In both dishes, the steak was done to perfection. The sauce that came with my shrimp was spicy and deep--lots of flavor layers there. Both of us took home portions of our meals because there was a lot of food on the plates. Finally, the service--the servers are attentive without hovering. If we needed something, they were there, but never intrusive. It is hard to believe this is a little neighborhood spot, given the service and the quality of the food. It was not too busy tonight--we ate early--but I recommend reservations. It is very popular with the neighborhood. Bottom line, we each had 2 margaritas, appetizers, and entrees, and our bills with tip were around $105.00 each--totally worth it! Try this little gem--you won't regret it.

We came later on a Monday night so we did not have to wait to get a seat although it was still pretty busy. The place is decorated nicely. Well on a block with many other Mexican businesses. Located right off the pink line it is very easy to get to and also noted to be near the Mexican art Institute. The chicken mole enchiladas were delicious. Spicy and bitterness of the chocolate balanced super well. rice was also cooked perfectly. The shredded beef dish was short rib and mashed potatoes. They were meant to be assembled into a homemade tortilla - a very interesting concept. The homemade tortillas were so warm and fluffy. I have never had such good tortillas. I took a tamale plate home. It was large and had a good portion of shredded pork. Super flavorful, but also I felt the texture might've been firmer than I would've expected.

The enchiladas de mole were the highlight--tender chicken coated in a rich red mole that balanced gentle heat with a subtle sweetness beautifully. My only miss was the horchata, which had an unpleasant sourness. Overall, a flavorful and memorable experience. Arrive early--the dining room fills up quickly.
