This place is awesome. I've lost 40 pounds of COVID / dad bod weight in 4 months. The staff is helpful and encouraging. They focus on a good mix of boxing technique and HIIT workouts and have a lot of different trainers. It's nice to have something so good in Manhattan Beach! read more

I took a 6am conditioning class on a Tuesday via ClassPass, and had a really great workout. If it's your first time, you should arrive early in order to sign the waiver. If you check in on Yelp, your first class is free for first-timers. You can borrow gloves there, but I would also suggest bringing your own bandages so your knuckles don't blister. It was just two people in class, so our instructor Yo really helped provided feedback on our forms. She was encouraging but also helpful in her suggestions. Parking is available in their lot behind the gym (go west on marine and you'll see the lot entrance). read more

Ass kicker. Be ready. There's a reason it's packed all of the time even at 5 am. Bring a towel and water bc you're gonna need it! Joseph and Cedric are great coaches read more

I've been training with Cedric for the past year and have had such an incredible experience! Beastie - Cedric and I doing some dynamic mit work - Gyms Near Me - Manhattan Beach, California

I absolutely LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Beastie Gym! Cedric himself is the BEAST, but he will get you the desired results your looking for! I guarantee you'll love & hate him at the same time (hope he doesn't see this) but I must say 5am Beastie class is the best! read more

Would be great if they actually opened and had classes when they said they had classes. Came here Thursday at 5:30 PM for BEASTIE and the whole studio was closed. A group of people who signed up were outside confused too. One of them texted Cedric and he said the class was cancelled. I think they had been trying to close this studio for a while but for some reason decided to keep it open--except it's not open when it's supposed to be. It's too bad, because this was a great workout. read more

Started a month and I absolutely love it!!! The instructor is amazing , he gets you out of your comfort zone and pushes you which is what I need. The vibe and the people are amazing. They are super encouraging and so so sweet. I couldn't of picked a better place. read more

If this review was only for the workout- I'd give Beastie 100 stars. It's an intense, calorie burning workout, but the Staff and attitude definitely need a makeover. I've been to Beastie a handful of times and it's ALWAYS the same routine with the Trainers: the class starts at 6 am, and the Instructor walks in the door at 5:59 am. I just don't understand how they can run a business this way. One minute before the class starts, the lights are completely off, there's no time to warm up, the room is cold, and many of the regulars waltz in 15 minutes late. For a fitness studio that prides itself on "Show up, give 1000%, Be a Winner, fall 7 times- get up 8, The will must be stronger, inspire others....unstoppable, relentless, determined.... The Trainers are not leading by example. It's really a bummer, the workout is amazing. I would seriously come to this studio every single day of the week if the Instructors practiced what they preached and the attitude changed. read more

I've been to Beastie a couple of times. Amazing workout, tough, but you'll get through it! I would recommend this place to crush your fitness goals read more

Beastie is my happy place. This gym is special and I've been to many. My body has transformed in the year that I've been going. The workouts are insane, the trainers are all amazing and the general attitude is always positive. Cedrics motivational speeches leave me feeling like I can tackle whatever life throws at me. If I could give more stars, I would. THIS GYM IS NEXT LEVEL... read more

Beastie - Donkey kicks and the ropes are just some of the routine Cedric had us do today. Insane workout! Left with a bigger butt! - Gyms Near Me - Manhattan Beach, California

Love this gym! Cedric created a special boxing class for moms with babies allowed and it's been the only way I could work out postpartum. It's a really fun way to get a whole body workout and learn new skills. He goes the extra mile to make sure we all get the most out of class. So grateful for him and this gym, highly recommend. read more

Awesome gym! did semi-private with Cedric. The energy in the gym is amazing and when you are done I assure you that you feel 10x better about yourself than before. (Maybe not during the training... because it is tough) He will make sure to keep you motivated and push your limit all the way. Highly highly recommend this gym! read more

For years I searched for a workout plan, locations etc that would challenge me and be something that I could stick with. Beastie has it all. Great workouts, trainers, and environment. I went from 2-3 easy workouts on my own, and 25% body fat, to almost daily workouts and 13% body fat. I love it! read more

BEASTIE isnt just your ordinary gym, it's a family gym. They offer group fitness classes however it's in a personal training setting. Cedrick gives each client the necessary attention needed to focus on their individual fitness goals. He is highly motivating, energetic, and love to have fun. Workouts aren't always easy, but are they suppose be? They are challenging and he will challenge you and give you the push you need. So glad that I found this boxing gym. If you are looking for a new boxing gym or another gym that tailors workouts to help you achieve your fitness goals, look no further and join BEASTIE! Greatest decision I've made! read more

This is by far the best gym I have ever been too in my life! The Head Trainer Cedric Jones is super welcoming, high energy, fun, and extremely motivating! He makes working out FUN, lol which is weird because I have NEVER in my life thought working out could be fun! I highly recommend this gym! BEST GYM IN Manhattan Beach BY FAR! read more

Can't stop, won't stop!!! This place is the best place to work out in Manhattan Beach/South Bay. Cedric is one of a kind. If you want to sweat your butt off, have fun and learn something new, come to Beastie. All the instructors are awesome and really motivating. The community is made up of all different fitness levels - so come one, come all. All gyms are intimidating but Cedric, Yolanda, Heather, Kevin and all the trainers genuinely care about their members which creates such a motivating environment you can't beat. I leave Beastie exhausted, drenched and feeling amazing - ready to come back again. Don't sleep on Beastie!!! Come check it out. Beastie 4LIFE! read more

The workout here is INSANE. Forget about LIT method, Barry's Bootcamp or Soulcycle, Beastie puts those places to SHAME. Cedric is INCREDIBLY motivating to the point where after you finish a class, are totally exhausted and you feel like you might throw up, you are ready to do it all over again the next day. Only took 1 month to convince me to throw away my Classpass membership and sign up for a Beastie membership and I've never looked back! read more

I have been a client of Cedric's for over 8 years, he has consistently gotten me in the best shape of my life over that time. I stopped seeing him when I made the move to Santa Monica, as the drive was too far but was bummed when my wedding was 3 weeks out and I wasn't happy with the results I was seeing from my new trainer. I started making the drive back to Cedric, desperate for results. WELL... if you would like your butt to be located on your shoulders and a sick pair of abs... get it over to Beastie STAT. I can't tell if the abs are from the ridiculous amount of laughter and fun I was having but I can tell you that the 14 lbs I lost in 3 weeks was definitely due to the work put in with Cedric. I CAN NOT RECOMMEND HIM ENOUGH!!!! If you want to have the best time of your life and want to look/feel the best you've ever felt this is the place to be. read more

So 6 months later I've dropped all of the baby weight and THEN some, with drastic body fat percentage reductions. Most importantly, in addition to getting me physically strong again, Beastie has been a lifesaver and true grounding force in keeping me as mentally strong as possible when perpetually sleep deprived with an infant and toddler! I will drag my bootie to class no matter how bad of a night we had because I know the people, the workout, the music, the motivation, the inspiration will pump me up to face the day. This is so much more than a gym -- you will find your family here. It is such a beautiful community, there really are no words. I know it can be super intimidating to walk through those doors the first time, but if you're willing to work hard it will change your life. I can't get enough. It really is saying a lot when you are pretty much dying by the end of class and already cant wait for the next one... read more

Beastie - The gym was PACKED yesterday and it was the Fourth of July! - Gyms Near Me - Manhattan Beach, California

When I started going to Beastie, I had to take a week long break because I was so out of shape. When I came back from break, the workouts were hard, but I never gave up. Now, I can do the majority of the workouts without a problem. I went from working out three times a week to six times a week and I love it. My energy and confidence levels are up due to all of the weight I lost. I am now able to wear a ski outfit I brought last year that couldn't even go past my thighs. Now I can put them on, zip them up and move comfortably in them. Going to Beastie Gym is the best thing that I have done for myself in a long time. I even feel guilty if I miss a day due to work or vacation, but I make sure to get back in the gym as soon as possible. I plan to maintain this healthy lifestyle that I have started for myself. I learned how to treat myself to a better way of life through exercise, vacation, and eating everything in moderation. I would definitely recommend Beastie Gym to anyone who is looking to improve their mind, body, soul, and spirit. Hope to see you there soon! Serina C. read more

Great staff and overall great workout. I workout here 4 days out the week and I am guaranteed an amazing workout everytime. The owner, who is also one of the trainers makes sure to change the workout everytime so my body doesn't get use to it, which is great because I am seeing the results I want. read more

This guy is cool fun with the workout the accountability, motivation is awesome I appreciate his time and patienst

This is no doubt one of the toughest workouts I've ever done! I took the 630pm Thursday class with Cedric and I left fully satisfied and motivated to come again! I've never had an instructor that pushes you mentally and physically! It was non stop action and took breaks when I desperately needed to. I recommend to try a class if you are up for the challenge. read more

No one was at the front desk. No staff working to help. I waited for 10 minutes and had no clue what to do, where to get changed, etc. Um.... It would have been my first class/first time boxing which I was super excited to try. I submitted a form on the website the day before letting them know it was my first time and that I would be attending the class at 6:30pm the next day. No response back either. When I arrived, there wasn't any staff working, I waiting for about ten minutes, still no one. I got fed up and left. We to a workout class next door where, like every other NORMAL studio, a front desk person was actually there! Don't waste your time going here. No staff and gym looked dirty anyways. read more

Beastie boxing gym in Manhattan Beach is the best boxing class and full body work out in Los Angeles! I have tried all kinds of workouts and this is the best fullbody w/ a little hard hitting (bags) for good measure. I used to train with Billy Blanks back when he owned and ran his studio in LA- this is better and Billy Blanks is hard to beat! The owner Cedric is an amazing person who inspires me to work hard in and out of the class! He also gives back and pays it forward to his/our greater LA community through helping the homeless and in mentoring kids through projects with local schools!!! Plenty of bag and mitt work plus kettle bells and full body hiit routines but no sparring/ which I prefer. Boutique gym close to the beach with a family feel to it. All the instructors are great and MEMBERSHIPS are WORTH IT! Ditch classpass!!!! I lost 30llbs working out here. Everytime I try a new class somewhere else- instructors and class mates always ask me where/how I work out and compliment me on my lean/toned physique.. All the credit goes to Beastie! Check it out if you like to box and have fun doing it! read more

This gym and the trainers are incredible. They're always motivated and work hard to get the best out of everyone in class. The classes are extremely tough, but well thought out and always different. BEASTIE has been the best gym in my 20+ years as an athlete and exercise enthusiast. They consistently hit every mark you need in a gym: community, motivation and an incredible workout. The schedule suits working professionals and dedicated mothers equally with flexible, reasonable hours and classes are different (and challenging) everyday. Most classes are smaller, with personalized, individual instruction that supports any fitness level. The best part is how much fun we have together, we forget we're also working out. There is an unbelievable amount of love from Cedric and his coaches, i look forward to working out everyday. I wish there were more stars! read more
