UPDATE: Katherine reached out to me apologized for the…read moreexperience I had and refunded the extra charge. While my experience wasn't the best. I appreciate that customer service is important to them. The reason I chose them was because my friend shipped her vehicle with Driving America and had an outstanding experience. I think I was the unfortunate one off where things just don't go as planned. This is my first experience shipping a car and it has been an absolute train wreck from start to finish. Poor communication, business practice, and service. I worked with John and at first he was friendly and communicative, explaining the process, and promising me my vehicled would be delivered on time. I explained I have a report date to be at my next duty station, so need my vehicle on a particular date. After I booked and signed a contract with the agreed delivery date, I explicitly reiterated to John I need my vehicle by this date, he confirmed that they'll get it done. I put down a deposit which they requested and this is where communication from John stopped and the excuses started. 3 weeks my vehicle was sat waiting to be picked up (2 weeks before July 4th and 1 week after to get my vehicle picked up). They had 3 WEEKS prior to my specified delivery date to get my vehicle picked up and delivered, instead I have had my time wasted and been ripped off. John said he would keep in touch yet I was the one to reach out for information after each week went by and I had heard absolutely nothing. The morning of the day my vehicle was supposed to be delivered I texted John my disappointment at the service provided and lack of communication. He called 4 hours later and after apologizing and giving me more excuses about the holidays (since when do people stop working 2 weeks prior to July 4th) plus 1 week after the holiday to get my vehicle picked up. On the date they failed to deliver my vehicle as agreed, on the call with John he raised the price $200 on top of the increase I'd agreed to a week earlier and then stated "we'll pay the driver $50 from our deposit as part of the cash on delivery to the driver for you as an apology." You mean $50 out of the $200 deposit I PAID YOU to do the JOB YOU were supposed to do, like arrange vehicle pickup! Knowing that I needed my vehicle to travel and switching to another vehicle transportation company would cause further delays, which John "helpfully" explained, I agreed to the $200 increase and miraculously within 15 minutes of this they booked a driver to pick up my vehicle AND after all this my vehicle is scheduled to be delivered over a WEEK LATE! The dispatcher wasn't the most helpful at the time stating things like they "didn't forget about my vehicle" and "I'm lucky to get it done so quickly as they have 5 days after the deadline to deliver the vehicle" and "oh other's are late too", but she did however try to help when I called. The only miniscule saving grace in this situation was the carrier I was booked with picked up my vehicle a day earlier THAT'S IT. On the day the carrier said he would deliver I texted asking if delivery was going ahead.... crickets.... I asked when to expect delivery the next day. Again no response. I called the dispatcher at Driving America asking if she could find out where the vehicle is and when I called back she was able to provide me with information. On the day the vehicle was delivered. The driver didn't deliver my vehicle to the specified address and instead parked a over a mile away in a random parking lot and I had to ask for photos of his location then play wheres Waldo with him and my bloody car because he wouldn't drive further into the base to the correct address, even though he could have. Finally the delivery driver then tried to charge me additional $100 on top of the price increase I'd already agreed on! At least my car showed up in one piece.

Do not use this company! After a failed attempt with a different shipping broker, Justin and…read moreKatherine at Driving America gave me their word, verbally and in writing that I would receive my deposit if they could not find me a truck at an agreed upon price, which by the way they set for me, so it's not as if I was setting impossible expectations. They went as far to say "refund was in process", but that was over a month ago. And they have been ghosting me, and my bank's claim. At least the first co. gave me a refund right away.

WOW, great moving company. Best experience out of all. We moved from Tennessee to Denver and I was…read moreworried about the safety of our belongings because of the distance. But there was literally no problems. They packaged all of my household items very neat and secure. If you have belongings that you care about then I would definately call Long Distance Movers. They took there time and did not rush. You can tell by watching them that they know what they are doing. These guys are professionals at this from what i could see. I had a huge armoir that is an antique and very heavy and fragile, they handled it in a very suprising way. They had absolutely no room to move it out, but they had a method that worked and didnt even scratch a corner or a door. We also had a fun time with the crew. They are very friendly, nice, and you just get an all around good vibe from these guys. Long distance movers is who i recommend to any one in denver and ill be keeping this company in my list, Thanks LDM

However, it was not perfect. Two major negative experiences: 1) the drop off contractor did not have two of my boxes - he had to return to the mother truck to pick them up. Review your delivery carefully and make sure they have everything 2) two of my pieces of furniture arrived damaged. My dresser's knobs were broken off (not fixable) and my bike frame was bent (fixable but a royal pain) I liked Long Distance Movers and I guess no moving company is perfect?
