We ordered a 4 meat combination consisting of beef brisket, pulled pork, St Louis ribs and Texas smoked sausage, plus an order of smoked chicken wings. My favorite was the brisket, it's my first, I'm used to California bbqs Tri-tip, prime rib, filet mignon and T-bone steaks. Never realized what a real bbq brisket was, always saw it on TV, but this was the real deal. Naturally the other meats were great, but the brisket takes the cake. The sides we had were baked beans and mac n cheese. Customer service was excellent, can't wait to come back!

On our way from Tennessee to Alabama, we followed Google Maps to a place with glowing reviews --…read moreand since I had my heart set on chicken, I thought we struck gold. Well, surprise! No chicken. But hey, we were already there and hungry, so we went with the meat sampler and some sides. The ribs had a little more "campfire vibes" than expected, and the pulled pork must've been feeling a bit shy because it came out cold. Luckily, the brisket and sausage stepped up -- my husband gave them two thumbs up (and he's picky, so that's saying something). The beans were simple, nothing fancy, but they did the trick. Was it the five-star experience I dreamed of? Not quite. But sometimes the best memories come from the unexpected stops -- and at least we left with full bellies and a funny story!

Popular with the locals and quaint enough to be a destination place for a road trip or detour off the Natchez Trace. I've been here before but it's been several years and it's just as I remember. The food is good and some is excellent. I'd prefer more smoke, as others have said, but the pork is juicy and tender. The fried okra is hot, fresh, crisp and delicious. The cornbread cakes are spot on. I suspect the turnip greens are canned and of a brand that I really like so zero complaints there. If you live around here you know and if you're passing nearby it's certainly worth a stop. I'll be back whenever i'm in the area.

It's a sign of the times that even small town BBQ spots are wildly overcharging. I ordered the…read more"Large" BBQ sandwich and as you can see the wimpy portion of meat doesn't even extend outside the regular sized hamburger bun. I like their sideways chip cut style of fries, never had them before, and the baked beans are some of the best I've ever had. Actually the beans were the best thing in the meal by far. BBQ sauce was rather bland, and nothing special about the pulled pork. The drinks are overpriced and not very good (I had sweet tea and lemonade). I'll also say the service is hardly what you expect in a small town, downright unfriendly. They didn't call out my number and when I was pretty sure my food was on the counter I politely asked if it was mine and they oddly gave me an attitude about it. Bathroom was clean (towards the end of their lunch rush) which is a plus. I don't know, I guess I'd support this place over the fast food restaurants in the area, but eating here made me kinda sad to be honest. That even small town businesses in America are losing their heart and soul.

There were not a lot of people there. All the BBQ and sides are made to order. The okra is hot! The BBQ is ok. They do not have brisket which was a little disappointing. But everything else was good. They have tea, lemonade, or Pepsi products. Their sauce is ok. It tastes like regular BBQ sauce. All meals are served with 2 sides and a piece of Texas toast, only toasted on one side? (This must be a TN thing?) Anyway, food was decent and service was ok. Restaurant is definitely dated and needs upgrades. All of the bench seats are completely ripped which makes it uncomfortable to sit. We switched seats like 4 times because of this. Staff is really nice and works hard.
