Highly recommended, tart with a little sweetness and kick. For apps I went with the crawfish and shrimp cake and smoked chicken wings. The crawfish and shrimp cakes are a great idea. The fry was great on the cake. The flavor was a little lost. I thought initially it was the tartar that overpowered the cake and that is partially true. I did try a bite without the tartar and it was still a tad on the bland side. The wings had a great fry and smoke flavor as well. They were a bit overcooked and dry. The Alabama sauce was real good and added needed moisture to the wings. The breading appeared to be fairly heavy, ie the bread to meat ratio was on the bread side. The service was good and very fast, there were just some execution challenges for the food. The menu is real interesting and I'm willing to try some of the other offerings on another visit.

I decided to give it another shot. Saturday night, 6pm and the restaurant was nearly empty. I asked for a gluten free menu. They didn't have one. But what they had was even better. Emma, our server, went through every menu item and told me what was safe, what could be modified and what to stay away from. Her knowledge of the menu was stellar and something that's lacking in most restaurants. One of my hang ups during my last visit was being served an old fashioned when I ordered a Sazerac. I asked Emma, who apologized as she told me they were out of absinthe. She not only knew the food menu but also the drink menu. Emma, you are a light in a dining arena full of mediocre. I ordered the scallops and risotto. The plate arrived with 4 large scallops. It's not uncommon for large scallops to be gummy with a soapy, not sweet flavor. My scallops were the exact opposite. They were perfect. The creamy, slightly sweet/slightly salty risotto was the perfect accompaniment. The accompanying broccolini was a miss - it was extremely bitter. Unpleasantly so. My husband had the pot roast ragout. He said it was alright - everything was hot but the potatoes. They were cold - he said it threw him off and just wasn't very enjoyable. He did enjoy the cheese biscuits and the bit of mine that I was willing to share. One way I judge a restaurant is by whether I'd come back. I posed that question to him. He said it was worth another try. Service was on point - Emma was a rock star in my book. The wine and beer were at a perfect temperature and the wine pour was generous. Co/Op is in the Embassy Suites. Parking was easy and free tonight; but, depending on what's going on in town, you can't count on that. Two entrees, two drinks and tip was upward of $120. Expensive? Yes, but the scallops and service were so good that I didn't even blink. Will I be back? Undoubtably.

They had an excellent red wine selection and the waiter was extremely nice! We decided to start with the jerk cauliflower and it honestly was my favorite thing on the menu! We shared the spicy lamb rigatoni and their signature pepperoni pizza and they were both absolutely delicious! I definitely recommend you stop by while downtown Chattanooga!

The reviews looked well, so we went hungry and excited. The restaurant is gorgeous, loved the view of the restaurant as I ate on the wall of booths. We had a reservation that was taken promptly, our service was convenient but I wouldn't say pleasant. We ordered the veggie pizza (great flavor, slimy texture from too many mushrooms etc 4/5) the ceasar salad (started with some finesse 4/5) and the jerk cauliflower(5/5). The only item we were disappointed in was the wings (1/5). Now let me explain. Wooden city reads as a smart modern, quality of food type of location. The wings were great values finest: and thus were huuuuge and unappetizing. Yall pull up, just don't get the wings lol
