We had to call Bear out for a leak in our toilet tank, and a drip at our water feed valve. They were able to get a tech out within an hour. The dispatcher was very polite and got us on the schedule quickly. I was really surprised they would have someone out so fast. It was impressive. The plumber was knowledgeable and personable. He worked to address the issue, until it was resolved. Unfortunately, the toilet seat was scratched during the work, he owned it and replaced the seat for us. Bear Mechanical came to my rescue when another shop let me down a very wrong path. They were awesome.

NON-EXISTENT COMMUNICATION. I made an appointment for yesterday. They never called and they never showed. I find it very frustrating not that they got behind or whatever caused them to not show, it is that they didn't even bother to call. I left them a voice mail yesterday and they still haven't called me back. I'm going with another company. I don't have time for someone who is so inconsiderate. Again, I can totally understand this time of year getting behind but not calling to let me know is inexcusable. read more

I had a short list of plumbing repairs. Install a grab bar in my shower.... It took them two tries to install it correctly. Repair a leaking toilet.... It's still leaking. They didn't provide a written quote and I was shocked at the price. I called them to see about getting the toilet repaired and the lady in their office was rude and unhelpful. Great Company!!! Adam S. was our technician and he was amazing! Thorough, detailed, professional! We called due to high humidity levels in our home, we explained what we were experiencing and he listened with open ears. He explained he'll first look under the house to rule out everything and with the temperature being 90 degrees today, he did not hesitate to go under and check everything! Ended up being the refrigerant was slightly low, he added a couple pounds, check the reading (before and after) and BINGO we started to feel some relief. It's been just over an hour since he left and the humidity has dropped 3%, YAY! We asked his expertise on few other things and he was so willing to share his knowledge. I would never hire these guys again. I wanted 4 grab bars put in my bathrooms. First of all the grab bar I purchased from Amazon, he said it was crap, he wouldn't install it. so, I gave him the grab bar for my husbands bathroom to put by the toilet. he put it behind where you would get up. I ask him to take it off and move to the front where you would pull yourself up. Ridiculous. then I drew a line where to put it. he said he couldn't put it there, there was a stud. He could have, chose not too. the other two grab bars are installed way too high. if you need grab bars, Before you know where their going and the guy is able to install them. read more

These guys are fantastic! I have had them out to look at and repair our ancient AC 3 times in 3 years. Everytime, Adam, the owner has phoned to say what time he will be here and arrived at that time. Once here he and his father looked at my system. It needed cleaning and a had a coolant leak one of those times. He looked at and cleaned off our system once again. This time he told us very honestly that there is nothing wrong with our system. It's just having a hard time keeping up cooling our old house because it's been 100 degrees outside for several days. He recommended ways to help our old system work more efficiently in our home including using a dehumidifier on these extra hot days to help with comfort level. I was so impressed with Adam and his work that I called him to do work in my 83 y.o. mother's home on her heating system last year. He didn't fail to come through on that job either. It's been 5-6 months since I received a/c help from these guys, which should add some credence to this review because things have been working fine. Our a/c was cutting out at the hottest part of the day in Church Hill. These guys came and were able to climb up to the roof and fire it up, and were honest enough to share there's a slight chance the problem has another source. The next day the heat and the problem returned. These guys were called and the next day they fixed the problem free of charge (this time for good or at least the rest of the summer and fall). Their commitment to our one problem and eventual solution is why I say 5 stars. read more
