Kyle the bartender was friendly and patient (something that can be challenging for bartenders). Music was your typical small town Vermont bar, but mixed it up here and there. Don't get me wrong you will run into classic St. J characters.... But it is a big space so you can find your own corner. Got to speak with the owner Joanna and she was lovely! They know the people who come in. They know their families, their stories, where they've been. When I walked in today, Owen said "Hey, it's been a long time. Welcome back." This is the kind of place that holds a community together. People show up regularly because they belong there. They see the same faces. Someone knows them. We need more places like this.
