Appointment can be at 2pm and you're not going to back until like 15-20 minutes later with long wait times in the chair afterwards. If they can improve their time management, this would be a 5 star experience. Come here with plenty of patience, or else it can be frustrating for some people. Great service otherwise!

Alright, so... This…read morereview is based on the billing, nothing more or less. As I reviewed below, the customer service, the cleanliness, and the staff are all wonderful. The care they put into their patients seems genuine, just as the type of care; or maybe that's where it gets questionable. With what I'm here to share, it may sound as if, I'm contradicting myself. Now, billing. I'll say this, now. I'm very grateful I understand medical billing, even with this being dental; some things follow suit. On: 10-28-2023 - They took over my treatment (my braces were already on, I moved and needed to find a new Orthodontist) X-rays were taken at the same time. Nothing needed to be corrected or changed, I picked up from where I left off. Meaning, that being charged for services as if I was starting as a brand-new patient, wasn't necessary. 06-2024: My braces came off - I had a full cleaning. At that time, they wanted to do another complete set of X-rays. I mentioned, that I had them done in October of 23, and the insurance will not cover another set within the same year. They said that would not be a problem and if so, they'll take care of it at that time. I will have to deal with that on my own, I should have asked for that in writing and I didn't. Needless to say, the insurance did not cover those sets of X-rays. I was also, looking at what was submitted to the insurance and what was billable/paid. From the dates above 10/28/23 - 06/20/24: They billed my insurance a total of $9,094. $76 - Oral Hygiene Instructions: This is something I was billed for, but I'm a grown adult, I know how to take care of my teeth and should not have been billed for this. My insurance did not cover this and I will not, either. $22 - Flouride: This is something I get once a year and will pay for out of pocket, but this is something I was not told would not be covered by the insurance. However, I already knew this. I am faithful to getting my teeth cleaned every six months, with my prior dentist, I've never had this issue. I always knew what my costs were before my cleaning and my costs were only for my, fluoride. If you choose to visit this office, I'd suggest you get the procedure codes for what will be done, YOU, call your dental provider and get the coverage information for those codes. When it comes to Orthodontics, I would suggest you look elsewhere. Again, their staff is wonderful, and the customer service is excellent; but when my money is being mishandled, that cancels out everything else.

Check in has always been pleasant and easy for me. There is one woman who has been there for hers and even remembers the first time I came to the dentists office even all these years later. To be honest, it is somewhat memorable. My daughter slipped and bashed her teeth against the side of the tub and broke the top four front teeth in her mouth. At the time I was completely freaked out. They were completely understanding with me and got her in right away and they put her in a private room to pull her teeth and made it fast and as painless as possible. Dr. Ta told me it was because she was still nursing and it was from milk rot on the teeth-- it weakened them. But the way he talked to me and set both my daughter and I at ease-- after that I took all my kids in to see him. My eldest son has mouth crowding. He recommended we work with an orthodontist to determine the course of action to get the teeth to come in the best way possible and make a dental plan. He helped refer me to a good one in my area and both offices worked so well together it was really seamless (for years). In all these years I have never had an issue with billing and they always make sure I understand the charges and why I have them before they charge me or do anything. The office is really big on preventative care and my kid's teeth are so much better after we started coming. They do floride and sealants for the kids (but you can opt out if you want). They also have a very nice panoramic X-ray machine that gets every detail if your kids don't like the bite X-rays or they need more details for the mouth. They also have semi-private and private rooms for kids with sensory needs. The experience for the kids is also awesome. When they come in they can play games or watch tv. Then when they go back they are weighed and they check their height. Once they go to the exam table they are given headphones to watch tv above them (and this also blocks out the sounds of the dental tools which is great). Once the exam is done they are given a bag with toothpaste and a toothbrush, and some floss. They get a token to pick a toy from a machine you can insert the coin into and turn. My kids love this part. Sometimes they get an animal balloon or a sword balloon. They leave happy. The staff has always been very kind and respectful to me as well. No matter where your kids get seen, you the parent can see them. If they are in the main area you can stay with them if you ask or you can watch them through a window (it's one-way so the kids don't see you and start fussing for you). If it's a private room where they are doing a procedure they give you an iPad and you can watch them on the iPad. It's really awesome. I really trust Dr. Ta and his staff. I tell everyone I know and I wouldn't go to anyone else. I highly recommend you go and see for yourself.

I had a deeply disappointing experience with Keller Parkway Dental when I needed prompt care for a…read moredental infection. Despite being in significant pain and clearly explaining my symptoms, the office refused to call in a prescription for antibiotics without first seeing me. Unfortunately, the earliest available appointment was several days away--after the weekend--which left me without necessary treatment during a critical time. In situations where infections can escalate quickly, I expect my dentist to take pain and potential health risks seriously. Instead, I felt dismissed and unsupported. To make matters worse, the staff member I spoke with was rude and dismissive, which added to an already stressful situation. Ultimately, I had to seek care elsewhere and was able to obtain treatment quickly and affordably. This experience has made me realize the importance of asking future dental providers how they handle urgent situations before becoming a patient. Had I known that it was even possible to be asked to wait several days while having an infection before even seeing them to get a prescription I would have never chosen this dentist in the first place. My next dentist that will be the first question out of my mouth how do you handle critical care? Here I am saving tons of money to pay to this dentist for them to do lots of work and now I'm left looking for a new one Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Keller Parkway Dental to others, especially if you value responsive and compassionate care during dental emergencies.

But what I didn't realize was that the reviews are years old. Nonetheless, I thought I was scheduled with Dr. Vacarean, the prosthodontist, but instead, I was scheduled with the general dentist, Dr. Young, for a cracked tooth. After figuring all  that out when I got there, it just went downhill. I decided to see the general dentist because I was already there and the front desk convinced me that he was very good, with all of this experience. Dr. Young and his hygienist said they did NOT see any cracks on my x-ray (from my regular dentist). However, he was very proud to note that he saw plaque and questioned the last time I had my teeth cleaned. (It had been 6 WEEKS, and I go twice a year religiously). He was a bit arrogant. He then said that I did NOT have a cracked tooth and that if I did, I'd have constant pain and couldn't take it. Well, he is WRONG!! This isn't my first cracked tooth and like before, I had pain sporadically. I know my mouth. He advised that I get a 2nd opinion from Dr. Vacarean. I set the appointment, then canceled because I didn't want any parts of that arrogance and wrong diagnosis. Good luck to anyone that chooses to go there!
