Super friendly staff all around, great service, and my longest running dental office so far…read more I had a bad habit of switching dentist almost every year due to my frequent moving, but I'm glad I have finally found a place I can settle down, as well as a dentist I can finally call mine especially after going to Dr. Frank for about 3 years now. I've never had to wait more than 10 minutes whenever I come here, even when I showed up a little bit early, they sometimes would be standing right at the desk ready for me. Each appointment never gone without lots of explaining to make sure I fully understand what's going on with my teeth. The whole staff is always nice and courteous. They never tried to up-sell me anything and very willing to work with my insurance when that kept changing 2-3 times now. There are closer dental offices to where I live that take my insurance, but I gave that a try once and decided it's worth the drive for me to keep coming back here. It's not easy to find a good dentist. Just like anything else, the grass is not always greener on the other side, so I'm sticking to mine for now, until the next move lol.

I came in with excruciating pain from a dead tooth that finally reached its limit and began sending waves of pain through my entire right jaw, cheek, ear and the back and front of my head. I was in tears as I drove down Southlake Blvd and saw through blurred vision a sign for dentistry, swerved into the parking lot, burst into the lobby, and tried to communicate my situation to the sweet woman at the front desk. She immediately took action, called Dr. Darnell (who was not working that day because it was 4th of July weekend) and he stopped his grocery shopping to rush over and help me! He arrived within minutes, assessed the situation, eased the pain, and scheduled me for an emergency root canal for the next day. I had never had a root canal before (and I had only heard terrible stories from co-workers and friends) but my experience was AMAZING. I know you would never expect to see "root canal" and "amazing" in the same sentence but there's really no other way to describe my experience at Darnell Dentistry. I was comfortable the entire time, the pain and pressure was immediately relieved, I felt great the following few hours after, and felt 100% the next day! I highly, highly recommend Dr. Darnell for any and all of your dental needs! THANK YOU DR. DARNELL AND STAFF!

I am a woman that had a tough time growing up medically speaking. I was mis-diagnosed with leukemia…read moreand the medication had already done damage to my teeth. At 14 I was diagnosed with a pituitary tumor (which has recurred within the last year with some vertigo to spice things up) All of this contributed to my poor dental health. My prayers were answered last year when I was tagged in an Instagram giveaway for Haven dental by my best friend. I decided to enter as I had nothing to lose. Much to my dismay, the very next day that I had won. I am not the most emotional person, but that news brought me to ugly tears. My dental anxiety was at an all time high due to the bad experiences with the cash dentists I had seen. I had immediate flashbacks of prior bad experiences. I was at a crucial point where I had started getting infections in my teeth that were making me sick. Much to my surprise there was no harsh judgement shown to me for the condition of my teeth. The office was warm and inviting and the staff matched. I was treated with the utmost kindness and respect throughout. I met with Dr. Brady & we went over everything, my entire treatment plan to get my dental health and aesthetics to be fit for Hollywood. I had a mix of work done, and ultimately ended up with veneers/crowns on all of my teeth. The process from the beginning was actually much easier than I ever expected, they had quelled my anxiety so much that I even started to look forward to my appointments! I am now one appointment away from being done with the work and the makeover in my smile is night and day. The entire team that worked on my case have gone above and beyond. Dr Brady and his wife both painstakingly worked out every problem that challenged them with my work. The level of perfectionism that they achieve as a team is impeccable. In a twist to make things unbelievable, my fiancé Justin won the contest a few months later on Instagram as well! His case is similar to mine in that his teeth had gotten away from him due to his extreme dental anxiety and circumstances that did not allow him to afford care. He always had put himself second to my care. We work in the service industry for a small company that does not offer benefits. Justin is halfway done with his own dental makeover now. His case was challenging and the team took it in stride. He needed a bridge across his front teeth, and it was very tricky. The temporaries were a process to get to work for him because of that bridge, but Dr. Brady was determined to find a way to make it last until his final tops were finished. Justin is finally learning to smile again, and talk without hiding his teeth. His self esteem had suffered to greatly from these issues for so long that he was in despair over it. After being a heavy smoker he has quit smoking and it is 100% because of the pride he has in his smile again. He has never felt comfortable cutting his facial hair because he had to hide behind it, and now I see him slowly regaining himself. I never thought I would see the day that he would change in this way, it's given him a reason to feel confident again. I can only imagine how he will feel about himself when it's all finished. We will have perfect smiles for our wedding day come this fall. This massive change is all due to the love and kindness that this entire staff has afforded us. This experience has been such a godsend. I never in a million years could have hoped for such an outcome from a simple giveaway online. This company surprises me at every turn, and has truly restored our faith in dentists again. As long as Haven dental stands for excellence, dedication, honor, kindness and charity they will be my forever dental provider. What wonderful principals to build a business out of. (Also worth noting, my last cleaning was so pleasant! If you can request a hygienist I highly suggest kristy! She was pleasant and welcoming, extremely gentle, and has the most incredibly soothing voice!)

My two veneers popped off, and I was charged $180 to have them re-cemented on 01/22/2025…read more Considering that it has only been a very short time since I had them done, I believe this charge is unwarranted. Throughout this process, I have visited this office over 20 times to address ongoing issues with my veneers. The office manager, Itza, explained that the charge was necessary bc the office has to account for their time and materials. While I understand this reasoning, I feel it is unfair that my own time was not taken into consideration, as I had to repeatedly take time off work for these appointments. Additionally, I was disappointed by the lack of understanding regarding my concerns. When I brought up the issue of the veneers not lasting, Itza stated, "This is not a lifetime thing." Dr. Brady is very kind and patient; however, I regret choosing this office for my veneers.

Be very cautious - all about money, not the patient…read more I visited Mason Dental for a new patient exam after calling ahead and confirming that my insurance will most likely be covered. I was told that insurance would be verified and that they would submit everything for a coverage estimate prior to treatment. After my exam and X-rays, I was informed that I had periodontal disease and would need scaling and root planing. I was also told I had approximately nine cavities and was strongly encouraged to proceed with laser treatment that was not covered by insurance. At no point did I feel I was given clear, conservative options or a breakdown of urgency versus elective procedures. The initial visit resulted in a $200 charge, and I was quoted approximately $800 for the recommended deep cleaning. Because the diagnosis felt significant, I sought a second opinion as I've never had periodontal issues and receive regular cleanings (I worked in the dental industry for years). At another dental office, I was told that I do not have periodontal disease and do not need scaling and root planning cleanings. Their review of my X-rays showed no signs supporting that diagnosis, aside from two isolated pockets near areas where my wisdom teeth had previously been extracted. Then was informed I have two areas on my molars that needed very small fillings on the occlusal areas. They were shocked my Mason Dentals treatment plan! Based on this second opinion, I'm concerned about the difference in diagnoses and the treatment plan I was given. I would recommend getting a second opinion before proceeding with Mason Dental.
