They also have the latest technology and are able to make crowns onsite which means you can get it done all in a few hours. Be very cautious - all about money, not the patient…read more I visited Mason Dental for a new patient exam after calling ahead and confirming that my insurance will most likely be covered. I was told that insurance would be verified and that they would submit everything for a coverage estimate prior to treatment. After my exam and X-rays, I was informed that I had periodontal disease and would need scaling and root planing. I was also told I had approximately nine cavities and was strongly encouraged to proceed with laser treatment that was not covered by insurance. At no point did I feel I was given clear, conservative options or a breakdown of urgency versus elective procedures. The initial visit resulted in a $200 charge, and I was quoted approximately $800 for the recommended deep cleaning. Because the diagnosis felt significant, I sought a second opinion as I've never had periodontal issues and receive regular cleanings (I worked in the dental industry for years). At another dental office, I was told that I do not have periodontal disease and do not need scaling and root planning cleanings. Their review of my X-rays showed no signs supporting that diagnosis, aside from two isolated pockets near areas where my wisdom teeth had previously been extracted. Then was informed I have two areas on my molars that needed very small fillings on the occlusal areas. They were shocked my Mason Dentals treatment plan! Based on this second opinion, I'm concerned about the difference in diagnoses and the treatment plan I was given. I would recommend getting a second opinion before proceeding with Mason Dental.

Patt is the smiling face that you see when you walk through the front door. She's the best, knows everyone and keeps everything running and on schedule at that office. I had Stacey today for the Invisalign installation and she was wonderful. Deanna checked me out after the appointment and scheduled my next one. She's so sweet and personable. The new Dr. Gopffarth (a local Keller kid, love that ) is phenomenal and a great asset to the practice. Keller is very lucky to have Dr. McReynolds and his expertise for so many years. Both of my boys went through braces with him and they are 37 & 38. Love the family feel at this place.

It's very hard to make appt with this place, every single time! With ortho plan, there are many…read moreappts so trying to make appts to minimize disruption to school time is very hard with their limited operating hours and one doctor. When there is a need to reschedule, it will 4-6 wks out. Additionally you can't be more than 15mins late NOT even a minute over. This difficultly in setting appt increases the treatment timeline. Be prepare to make ortho plan at this place a PRIORITY over school/life. I wish I knew about this issue before signing for the multi-year plan. Now I just feel stuck.

I have to say that the people who are doing the scheduling and rescheduling of appointments is not up to the high caliber of professionalism and perfection of the previous schedulers. Last summer my college son's summer appointment was canceled! Appointments are hard to come by and we always appreciate the attempt to reschedule. And in fairness and to be helpful, we always cancel and call ahead if we have any changes that need to be made. I just got stuck again and have lost out on my December appointment due to carelessness. We have always booked appointments a year in advance and it's common to need to move a date when you book that far ahead. I recommend you check often if you make any changes to your original schedule AND verify appointments.

After calling around to several different dental offices in the area before making my choice, I chose Dr. Cerone almost entirely based on Eric, the receptionist who was one of the most professional, efficient, and knowledgeable dental office receptionists I have ever met to this day. Unfortunately, he does not work there anymore, and unfortunately, the dental care provided did not match the care he provided. I went in to get a root canal and a crown. After receiving my root canal at a great endodontist that Dr. Cerone's office suggested to me (endodontist did a perfect root canal - endodontist was, again, suggested by Eric), I went back to Dr. Cerone's office for my crown. Out of respect, I will not name the dentist who treated me... But I will say that I made 5 EXTRA trips to this office that did not need to be made because my crown was poorly made 4 different times. I calculated, and I spent a minimum of 11 extra hours in that office that, had the crown and all the procedures been done right the first time, did not need to be spent. I am an extremely patient, forgiving person... But even I will say that 5 extra trips and 11 extra hours for a simple crown is excessive. Even then, I did not complain - I understood that sometimes people make mistakes and maybe the entire thing was not completely in their control (they send their crown molds to an off-site location). I wasn't going to write a bad review, even when I knew that this kind of treatment and care deserved one. When I requested to have a few simple fillings done out of precaution (because I did not want to go through the trouble of another root canal... surprising, I am sure) and I asked for a discount for all my troubles, they simply said no. Now THAT, my friends, is overkill. When you know the extreme amount of time and trouble that one of your patients went through for a simple crown from one of your dentists and you won't even offer a simple discount after all that... That is ridiculous. And that's saying a lot, coming from me. To top it all off, when I went to my new dentist a week or so ago, he took a look at my X-Rays and immediately asked, "Who did your crown? This is not a very well-done crown..." and proceeded to show me why. He did mention, however, that the endodontist who did my root canal did an excellent job. All of this to say - I can take people making mistakes, even multiple ones. I do believe that if the mistakes and less-than-acceptable treatment/care is excessive, the care provider should make amends or some sort of effort to placate the customer. Bad customer service and care on TOP of excessive unacceptable treatment is not okay. Period.
